If I could give this place zero stars I would. I understand running a business takes a lot of work, I get it. But with the competition in the area you guys gotta do better than what you did today. For starters, there were two people working in the entire place. ON A SATURDAY. Next, I got my pedicure done by this woman named Sandra. Sandra had zero experience at all. Did not know how to push my cuticles back, cut them or let alone, file. At some point, the owner took over and I don't know who was worse? Finally, I asked for square nails, I got round. They're so short that they're sensitive not to mention it looks like someone who was blindfolded painted my toes. You guys need an entire revamp or just shutdown. read more

I went here one evening when I was visiting the neighborhood and Cherry gave me the works on a pedicure. She did amazing! I would return and refer friends. She did everything down to scrubbing my foot bottom until it was smooth like butter. read more

Great place for a pedicure. Decor is very pretty, we'll decorated & clean. Everyone is friendly & their pedicures are the bomb! I can't comment on their manicures or tips since I go to my regular girl for manis at another salon. However there are always people getting their nails done so that's a good sign. Prices are comparable to other local salons but keep in mind if you plan to pay by credit card that you can't put the tip on your card. $50 for a gel French mani with tips and this is the outcome. I spent over an hour in the car and still the shape was messy, wasn't an even amount of acrylic distributed along the nails, AND the paint job was that of a 5 year olds. Was so rough with the nail file I got a cut on my finger. This was all done by the owner so you think you'd expect a fair better job. Won't even bother to call and get it redone because chances are I'll get them done by the same lady. Do not waste your time or money at this establishment. read more

The only nail salon in Bayonne where you can get real mani-pedi! My nails look very well-cared every time I go here. Other salons somehow do a good job when I'm a brand new customer then fail on the 2-3 visit. You may get lured by hot stone massage or new shiny interior of other salons. To me quality of mani/pedi is important. I do not want to re-file my nails and see my cuticle peeling after washing hands. I pay for mani/pedi not hot stones or new massage chairs. Living in Bayonne for 13 years I've tried many places here and in SI. At Cherry's nails you get the only quality mani/pedi in Bayonne. Cherry makes her own wonderful scrubs. She is not perfect. What other people perceive as rudeness is simply her lack of English speaking skills. Yes, she needs to work on it. And yes most of the time you have to wait because right now there are only two people working in her salon - Cherry and another manicurist. It is difficult for her to find responsible workers who do their job well. And again being to other salons in Bayonne I understand why. Plus other clients schedule appointments and run late pushing schedule back. Call to confirm. Last time I soaked my feet for 45 minutes cause the Spanish speaking manicurist called out and a client before me came late and Cherry was backed up. Well, the same story happens in doctors' offices and we pay much more there for waiting for hours. As of cleanliness, the salon is neat and clean. Do not see why others complain. I don't usually bash businesses but after this nightmare I've been experiencing since my last pedicure.. I had to share. I went to Cherry's nail salon on Tuesday March 28th for a simple pedicure. She was alone and had one other customer in the salon. She began my pedicure and put wraps on my feet to remove calluses. She began giving the other customer a manicure and only came over to remove the wraps when I complained that my toes were burning badly and I started to remove the wraps myself. She continues to do the pedicure even after I told her how much pain I was in. My toe nails were visibly reddened and yellow. She told me the pain would be gone in a couple of hours and it would be ok. The pain has yet to go away and it's been over a week. She charged me full price knowing she has caused damage. I told her I would not be going back. I have been a customer of Cherry's for years and I am so disappointed in her customer service. I will not be going back. I am from out of town and a lady from the tanning salon recommended this salon. The pedicure girl was great and she did a great job. When I got my nails done I was talked into getting wrap extensions instead of acrylics and I am glad I did. She did a good job, but there were some fingers that weren't perfect. I would go back again for a pedicure but not a manicure. read more

I gave this place more than enough tries to see if it got better. It really isn't. Cherry is the Korean lady who does nails, acrylics and gels. If u need a mani/pedi and she is busy there is a Spanish lady to help.... And that's it. The nail polish is spread out all over the store and it's so unorganized. It looks like a junk store with all the magazines laying around and all her stuff just exposed everywhere. Now to my nails: I came in for a gel fill in. She told me my nails had been done wrong. She filed them so thin to a point where the gel was no longer there and then she put her gel on. I told her the fill in she put was a little too thin but she said it's not supposed to be thick. My original nails weren't thick but they weren't thin either.She had only 1 UV dryer which had to warm up but she said it's not supposed to be warm and that its just for UV light. Ok. I went with whatever she said. I didn't know how to choose colors because she didn't have the colors organized so I just got clear. Paid full price for a full in and the next day my nail broke. Went back in the next day and she repaired 1 nail for free but half ass, so I got my eyebrows done. She did them ok, no complaints. When I walked out and I got in my car I broke Another nail!!! I said after that I am not wasting any more time and effort going back there. FYI since there are only 2 people working in there and no couch to get comfortable she will always ask u to come back later. But I've been there to witness her, the owner, say later to someone and then take the next person who walks in. It's pointless. You end up waiting a whole day just for 1 person. This is the worst nail salon I've ever been too! Cherry, the owner, was so rude I will not be coming back. She completely did the opposite of what I asked her to do as far as shaping my nails for a fill in. My nails look horrible and I'm so disappointed, considering the money I paid to get them done. I feel like I completely wasted my money and will NOT be going back. I don't suggest any one else going there, definitely a waste of money. While filing my nails she injured my cuticular couple of times. The old polish was still left on the corners. At the end she charged me $40! Terrible! Took an hour and 20 minutes for an acrilyc fill. Woman who did it(think it was the owner) totally changed the shape of my nails making them round and uneven. When I told her that I didn't like them she went on to say that it was MY fault because of the "condition" of my nails. Also, charged $45 for fill with gel color.
