I'm not a professional interior designer, but other contractors wanted to tell us how to design our bathroom in a way that didn't fit with the style of our older, mid-century modern home. We wanted to modernize our bathroom without leaving that mid-century, simple aesthetic behind. Our house was built in 1958, and with old houses come some special challenges -- especially with leveling everything! Joe did a great job laying the tile on our walls and floors so you can't tell there's a nearly 6" difference in the floor from one side of the room to the other. The plumbing was a challenge as well, but in the end everything got sorted out! It was frustrating at times, but Joe and his team were friendly and did everything they could to make everything the way it should be and work with our quirky old house. The only issues we had were electrical, which is also an unusual low-voltage system. As such, some of the switches/lights were routed wrong, and my husband ended up having to switch the wires in the boxes around. It was a minor mistake, which was easily fixed. The pictures really don't do it justice. Our previous bathroom was small, cramped and frustrating for two people to use. Now, after taking out a wall and installing a walk-in shower, freestanding tub, and functional vanity (which Joe helped us convert from a flat-packed dresser), the bathroom is both functional and beautiful. Before, I wouldn't even take a bath in there and hated digging around for things under the vanity everyday. Now it's a joy to relax in there. Thank you to Joe and your team!

I tore out the existing floor to save myself a little money. Joe layed the heated floor for me with a ceramic tile floor over that. Once he started the job, he stuck with it because as I pointed out to him, that was my only bathroom, and the facilities are a necessity. He also installed an outside plug for me. The one thing I would have preferred is that I would have liked to have been home while all the work was being done, I did not like having to communicate over the phone. But work schedules did not permit. He was, however, very good about letting me know when he was coming and going so I could plan accordingly. And by the way, my bathroom floor looks very nice.

Before erasing the charges part. The sex allegations are still up. Looking into legalities there for writing false information about me. The house is the real shame. We had just bought this place. He offered a decent cost. Said he'd not charge for color changes. Instead he apparently lost my paint swatches and missed them together. The master bedroom is interesting to say the least. We contracted for all Behr products. Found Dutch Boy in the living room. The rest is repeated in my last review. I told them 2 things they didn't like. With all the problems, I said they had quite a lot ahead of them to finish AND told Chris his plastic painted breaker box cover was terrible. We contracted for a wood box and got some cheap plastic rectangle. That is what sent them packing and Chris accusing. Please know we had had 4 HVAC guts in because the furnace was shot. We were too busy to worry and babysit. So I'll check back in a few weeks. I want ANYONE that calls these hustlers to know what they will really get. Check out those pics from the last review. As if after being accused of sexual abuse you send Chris over to fix ALL the mistakes. I have just as many witnesses as you. Now, we will not agree but if Chris and his flat ceiling over semi gloss son are never welcome in my home. I did take a jab at their lack of cleanliness. It was horrible and was mentioned by 4 people that crossed his path. If that's professional then so be it. Now, we can continue the he said /she said or figure out a way to rectify the problem. I was never what you deem as rude. I said the strong woman statement in joking and you know it! Twisted stories. How should Greg and Ylanza proceed from here? He had no receipts to prove what he bought for my project to show in court. Nothing about what his team did was right. Their cuts were sloppy and loose. They had no clue how to reinforce an existing deck structure and level a floor frame. For roof post, they cut off the handrails below floor level and then loosely attached 4x4 post end to end on top of 16" pieces of the remaining deck rails. Those were also just sitting on the ground and were no way connected to anything else. To save money, they did not want to use any hardware on the mainframes of the deck or the roof. They did a poor job planning and ended up jamming things together and Jerry rigging the whole job. It was over estimated. One example: He charged me $950 for roof materials and the finished roof priced out at $350 when. The roof was attached to the facia board and was not going to pass a building code officer if there were one. I was not at all impressed with how they could not construct a safe and long-lasting structure. In court, the judge agreed, IT HAD TO BE TORN DOWN. The replacement that I have now is beautiful, made of fresh new hand selected lumber, tight fitting cuts and a design that will last for years. It will also withstand the new 2024 90 mph wind rating for new construction here in Illinois. His roof could have easily been lifted and flipped up on my house since there was nothing holding the wobbly support post down. Darrin is a cheater and a liar. He also broke rules in the Illinois Home Construction and remodeling act. He would not speak in court and his wife spoke for him though she was not part of the job and did not witness its construction. She questioned the presence of sawdust on a construction site. He may be okay at screwing up pre-made cabinets in a remodel project, but do not hire him to build anything from scratch or anything structural. Keep a close eye on these guys if they are working for you. Question everything that does not look right.
