We were there during the Fiddler's Jamboree and they had a menu that had limited items- which I understand- but the prices surely were inflated. $14.99 for a chicken salad sandwich with a bag of Lays? It was super cute inside and the employees were fantastic! Sadly, the food was just okay and the day we went the main cook was out sick, so the sandwich with chicken we ordered came out mostly raw. I got the special of the day which was beef enchilada casserole and it was decent, but a very heavy meal and upset my stomach. read more

Visited during the Smithville Fiddlers Jamboree and it was great. Bbq sandwich, turkey sandwich, taco and Caesar salad is what our family had and all was very fresh and delicious! Got the hummingbird cake for dessert and it was amazing. Service was great and super friendly. Very cool inside the restaurant with a gift shop/soda fountain in the front and seating area in the back with live music. Highly recommend stopping when you're in town! read more

Went here with a girlfriend recently. We had no idea there was a restaurant here (my dog groomer recommended it); we just thought it was a cute gift shop! There is seating in the back & you can't really see it when you first walk in. Charming little place! We both ordered the chicken salad sandwiches, fries & iced tea. The young lady who took our order was delightful & the owner's daughter. So friendly, polite and perfect service!! Our chicken salad sandwiches were the best we've ever eaten!! Passing through from Boston and this is the cutest place I have ever eaten! Cheryl and her husband are so incredibly personable, engaging and welcoming, but yet somehow the service is quick! The food was terrific! I had the Cowboy Casserole and my girlfriend had the chicken sandwich, both were great! The bee theme is super fun and the gift shop very cool. Cheryl makes everything from scratch and uses all locally sourced meats and vegetables etc. Super people loving their dream and a pleasure to be a part of it! read more

My wife got the chicken Caeser salad. She loved it. The dressing was amazing. I took home the left over. I had the roast beef sandwich. As the other reviews have said it is amazing. Not something I would usually order. The place is as cute as could be ...woman will love it. The other reason for the 5 * is there was a problem. Problems always happen. They admitted to it and would not let us pay for lunch so I left a very big tip. If you are in Smithville you must eat there. We will be back. read more

The staff & owner was very nice & made us feel welcomed - but the lunch prices ! I ordered a sandwich- charged $9.99 Waitress asked if I wanted chips or fries - I said fries. I was charged an additional $4.99 ! Then $2.50 for a drink Not worth $20.00 lunch with taxes and tip. Prices need to be lowered for me to return. What a cute and quaint restaurant, along with an "everything Bee" retail store. The roast beef sandwich is great with just enough horseradish to add a little tang to the taste buds. My wife had the chicken salad sandwich and a side salad and she was super impressed. She said every chicken salad must have grapes, pecans and red onions, and this one did! So good.
