I got the surgery then when I finally had to find a new neurology bc I guess he can make more money not going though insurance. I was told I was on WAY TO MUCH medication for my condition and the surgery I had more so for people who had multiple seizures a day. I did not have that problem. I was taken off everything and now I'm just waiting for the battery on the vns to die. An ANTIDEPRESSANTS was all I needed to stop my seizures. Not all the high dose medications and IMPLANT he pushed.

I was extremely cautious and double checked that everything would be covered by my insurance before I had the studies done. My wife is even a RN and double checked the paperwork to ensure that we would only be liable for the co-pay out of pocket. After the sleep studies they sent me a bill for $300 which insurance will not touch. They claim that it is normal and they didn't need my approval or signature to have the doctor look at my records (which I have yet to receive) and invoice my $300. They didn't even notify me that he was A: looking at the sleep study reports or B: it would cost me $$$ outside of insurance. Essentially, these guys will make up items on your bill, while smiling and promising everything is "pre-certified". They will take the liberty of creating bills without your knowledge, connect, or approval... Shady practice and I would stay away... If this was any industry except Medical, they would go out of business. Contact the Medical Billing Advocates of America if you visit this office. You will need them. -------------------

Corrupt, hateful, uncaring staff at every level of this sick excuse for a medical practice. Dr. Schneider should be ashamed - a disgrace to the field of medicine. During our 1.5 hour wait in the waiting room, the receptionist was extremely rude to us. But when the Amgen Pharmaceutical sales rep showed up later, they talked like old friends. For 10 minutes we had front row seats listening to the Amgen rep BRIBE the staff with new drug products. She brought Starbucks for all the staff that day, and scheduled to take the head nurse to breakfast the next morning. (Amgen rep pictured). When we were finally called back, the nurse stopped me at the door. "Patients only" My wife recently emerged from a coma after a bad car accident, and needs my assistance for all things medical. We've been to dozens of doctors recently, and this was the first time I was denied entry to go with my wife. We argued, but the nurse would not let me back. The nurse took my wife back in her wheelchair, and the door was locked in my face. Back with the nurse, my wife couldn't answer any questions about her health history. I knew everything, and was used to speaking for her. My wife BEGGED them to let me back, but they refused. My wife broke down in tears, and sobbing came back to the waiting room just minutes later. We never even saw the doctor. This practice isn't doing what's best for you - they're pushing as many hardcore drugs into you as possible because they get a setback, or other bribes, from Amgen and probably other pharmaceuticals. We fully intend to report this practice to the Tennessee Board of Medicine.

Now I have to go to the doctors office and have them print the paperwork and come in on another day the worst office use agreement ever! They don't even open till 8:30 am for any labs and quest find not walk in till 8:50.
