Update 8/2018: My daughter loves this place still even after 2 years! The staff is still amazing…read moreand she's now been in three different rooms (currently in the two's). I can't rave about this place enough! I absolutely adore Daniel, Bella and the entire staff! Every morning when I drop off, everyone says hello to Ellie and shower her with affection. Even teachers that haven't been in her class before make it a point to say "Good Morning" and complement her or give her a hug. Ellie usually walks through and waves to everyone like she owns the place. She's been learning so much from them too! She sings a ton of different songs and every day she comes home with something new to say or sing. We just had another baby and can't wait for him to start there too. We have been considering moving to a different county but this day care is what is holding us back for now. That's how much we adore this place! If you're on the fence about choosing a day care center, let me tell you, you won't be disappointed with Kiddie Academy of Centreville! Original 2016: We have been enrolled at Kiddie Academy for 3 months now. At first visit, we loved this place because the smaller classrooms and the video streaming capability. But the hours and the prices weren't comparable to the area. So we went with a different daycare initially. After a horrific ordeal with that other place, we decided as parents that we would make this decision for our infant, not because of money or convenience and I am so glad that we did. Somehow, we are able to make it work scheduling wise and it's about more expensive than other places but we were able to make that work too. The staff is absolutely amazing! The kids love their teachers, the parents love the staff and the communication I get from Kiddie Academy is more than I could have imagined. I get pictures and updates through the app and able to log on and see my kid anytime of the day. I can't believe there aren't ANY reviews out here for them because this place is amazing!

Policy and payment warning! If you're considering Clifton Children's Academy, please pay very close…read moreattention to all paperwork. While you'll not find all of the payment information in one place, you'll soon find that you're doling out a lot of money up front that will be returned to you under NO circumstances. First, you'll pay a "registration fee." Then, you'll pay "reserve tuition," which is equivalent to a full month's payment, for which you will receive NO services. And if you later decide to use a fewer number of days, this fee will NOT be reduced. THEN, also up front, you will pay 20-60% of the full year's tuition. Now, you may think that that payment is not an additional fee because the 20% supposedly covers the last two months of the 10-month school year. HOWEVER, in the fine print, there is the stipulation that these funds will be forfeited if the school determines that there are "behavioral" issues with your child. I have not met many behaviorally perfect 3-5 year old children! While I am not saying that this school will expel your child and keep your money on false pretenses, the payment policies are a perfect setup for that sort of thing to happen. It could happen that you pay over 70% of a full YEAR'S tuition (not a small amount, in my world) and forfeit it with very little service given. If you have that kind of money to spare, are confident that your child will have no "behavioral" problems, and feel that this school will be able to provide a competent educational experience for your child, then proceed with enrollment! Otherwise, caveat emptor! I have never encountered this sort of payment policy trap anywhere else, but I have learned the expensive lesson to watch for it in the future.

After nearly 6 years with two children attending, we bid farewell to Chesterbrook Academy in…read moreCentreville (but we may be back again for summer camp!). When we walk out the door after this week, we will be saying goodbye to many of the same faces we have said hello to most mornings for the past 6 years. We obviously like the school a lot to have stayed this long. The location is hidden away in a wooded alcove of a busy shopping center. The classes are divided by age among 6 separate classrooms, each with a door leading out to an age-appropriate playground. They provide food as part of the tuition (except for that pesky Covid year) and have excellent hours 6:30am-6:30pm. The staff has a good blend of faithful educators, caring nurturers, elementary teachers gaining experience for their bright futures, mothers working what they know, college students, and more. This school offers a lot in the way of life skills, enrichment, pre-school education, and social skills. They potty trained both of my children. My youngest will start Kindergarten as an independent reader and his attendance at CBA was a big factor. I was looking back at photos of my children that CBA shares through the Tadpoles app and the sheer amount of creative enrichment and educational activities are unrivaled. This is a corporate facility. It follows corporate rules, and I have not always agreed with them, but the overall return on investment has been demonstrated. I've seen this place improve in so many ways over the years. I have trusted this facility with the two most important people in my life, knowing that they were safe and nurtured. As a bonus, I'm certain they came out as smarter, braver, more caring little humans ready to soar in grade school and beyond. Thank you, CBA! We'll miss you!

I'm giving 1 star, because I can't give 0 TL:DR - Full explanation and story below. Conclusion: This is a school who only take pride in keeping kids who only does well from the day 1. This is a school who is not willing to put in efforts to teach a child, and get him accustomed to a school environment and the school systems and policies. This school treated my child like a product that they are only looking after because we are pay them, and since the product that they are looking after had a possibility of causing problems later for other products in their storage, they dropped the service. The principle is very business minded, and only worried about selling services for the children who would do well, not new to their system. If you don't do well, you will be dropped w/o any hesitation. On yea, sending him home on his 3rd day, what a brilliant mind set of a teacher. Principle? That's a bad joke. She should call herself a manager. Her assistant principle is a hell of a better teacher. She should learn from her on how to be a teacher. And being a manager like her, instead of an actual principle, will ruin the reputation of the school that she works for. https://www.reddit.com/r/Preschoolers/comments/145a6yu/do_not_send_your_children_to_chesterbrook_academy/

Being used to the eclectic and energetic vibes of city life, we had inhibitions in how she would take to attending such a small and quiet school. Along with her previous classmates and guides, she was used to walking the streets of Brooklyn, taking the ferry to Manhattan, and walking to various public parks. When we arrived to see Guidepost Montessori at Fairfax, we were struck by its quaintness. The children have their own play area in the back of the schoolhouse, surrounded by a picket fence. It is intimate, yet spacious enough for all of the children to enjoy. The school is very clean and organized. The classrooms are set up in typical Montessori fashion, with the added charm of displayed artwork made by the pupils. The faculty takes the time to decorate for the seasons and holidays. The most charming and wonderful aspect of this school is the faculty. From the Head of School, the Administrative Director, to the Lead Guides, Assistant Guides and After School guides, everyone is kind, caring, patient and gentle, and respectful. They immediately treated our family as one of their own. They are the reason our daughter loves going to school each day. She has flourished under their care and guidance and we cannot thank them enough.

I told this school back in July with Ms. Chady, she walked me through every step of the way. Not only did she explain the curriculum but she also showed so much passion of teaching and the love of God. My son is in Ms. Brittany class alongside Ms. Ray and with the help of Ms.Ann. I cannot say how much love they give my son and my niece. They come home and they know the words of the song they are learning, they say prayer before eating, they not only know the alphabet but they associate words and pictures with each letter they are learning. Ms. Johnson the director is always there to answer any questions, she has this school are extremely organization. Anytime I have any question she is more than willing to answer me. There is a big difference when the principal and teachers teach because they have the Godly Passion to take part in the children's lives. Praise the Lord Jesus for MOBC! We pray and hope they will expand their ministries and open up Kindergarten classes in the future!
