My son joined Chesterbrook a year ago when he turned 2 & has improved his social skills tremendously since. His knowlege of the alphabet, number line, motor skills like using scissors is amazing all thanks to his teachers Ms. Tonya, Ms. Jessica & Ms. Sigrid. They create a welcoming environment, respecting each child in a quiet, loving manner - such that my son can't wait to get to school each morning! Ms. Tonya extends herself beyond the classroom and when I've asked for her suggestions they have helped me & my son's wellbeing. Ms. Tonya's has vast experience & patience, needed for children this age. From potty training to making pretty artwork - Ms. Tonya manages it all with the children. This is a message from a Chesterbrook parent who is very concerned upon reading the indiscreet review from Gossamer G. It would be beneficial for you & your child to take up your issues with the Principal & teachers concerned, rather than launch personal attacks on a public forum. Your callous comments, misrepresenting teachers' actions have a direct relation to somebody's livelihood & are totally uncalled for. Many of the teachers are rough and harsh in demeaner, voice and tone when dealing with the children. I often heard my child's teacher Ms. Tonya (not sure of spelling) screaming and yelling at the kids for inappropriate reasons like a child needing the restroom or asking a question. I understand children are stressfull and often need redirection, but the harshness and dare I say, ghetto quality of the yelling was worrisome. The kids were scared of her! When I reached out to the principal, she didn't take my concern seriously. She said she would talk to the teachers but she was sure that it was just a misunderstanding because Ms. Tonya had worked there for so long and was so wonderful. I explained that it was NOT a misunderstanding because I actually witnessed these incidents. I'm not sure if there was a language barrier or if she was just flat out unwilling to hear my concerns, because she just kept smiling and nodding awkwardly. Bottom line, the quality of teachers is subpar. It wasn't just Ms. Tanya but the majority of the staff who were awful. If you're ok with trash for teachers then this may be the school for you. The one positive is that it is a nice and clean facility. read more

We transitioned our daughter from a Bright Horizons Day Care to Chesterbrook Academy at Germantown in April 2019. We had received pretty rave reviews from some of our friends who had kids going to CBA Germantown. I'm so glad to say that all those reviews turned out to be true. I was worried about the transition since we were having some major changes within the family too during that time, but CBA took care of my little girl so well! She has so many friends and everyone of them comes up to welcome her into the classroom every morning. We have been happy with the teachers (Ms. Sanaz and Ms. Amber are rockstars) in both her classrooms and are extremely happy with the teaching standards at CBA. My daughter is learning at such a fast pace that I am sure she will be ready for Kindergarten and more by end of this school year! Ms. Krista, Ms. Kelly and Principal Ms. King are also awesome to work with and make the overall administrative experience pleasant and super easy! I am extremely happy that my daughter is at CBA and will also be looking to enroll her for after school care at CBA this year when she starts Kindergarten. read more

I honestly and totally disagree with the other parents review. My daughter has been with CBA since she was 2 and I am very happy and pleased with the learning atmosphere and TEACHERS. Infact I was completely taken back on seeing ms.Tonya's name mentioned with a bad review. The fact is that my daughter has been in her class from the time she was enrolled in this school and is still in her class and she is 4 now. Each and every parent in the class or school will agree with me as how kind and loving teacher she is. I have seen how much she is committed with this school and her children here. Not only Ms. Tonya, my daughter has been with few other teachers who has assisted her and I have been happy with them too. The principal is named for her kindness and love for each and everyone in this school. I would sure keep my daughter in this school and my daughter would sure miss Ms. Tonya next school year when she goes to the bigger class room. Chesterbrook Academy has been a great transition for our boys from daycare to a school-like program. My older son went there for two years before entering in Kindergarten this past year. He learned so much academically and socially. He's excelled in academic subjects and also in his social environments. Ms. Yas and Ms. Kelly are great mentors for the children and are great to the parents with school related information and activities. The Tadpole app has been great with giving us updates of their daily tasks, pictures of their activities, and daily reports of what they did throughout the day as well as what the ate. Its been truly re-assuring. They have a very convenient before and after school program that is very useful for working parents. My younger son is there now in pre-k 1 level and has really adjusted from the home daycare environment. Ms. Sanaz, Ms. Dhamika, and Ms. Katie have been great to the children and parents alike in communicating and making us feel at ease. We're very happy with CBA! read more

I have an almost 4 year old and a 2 year old. Both have been enrolled at Chesterbrook Academy Germantown since the fall. Our biggest draw to Chesterbrook was the tenure of the teachers and staff. Some have been there for more than 20 years. From our initial tour with Ms Ashley to the welcome we received from the teachers, we have felt very at home at CBA. My 2 year old is with Ms. Lauren. She is always ready in the morning with a smile and a hug. In just 3 months, we have seen so much growth and development in our daughter. My almost 4 year old is with Ms. Rachel. Ms. Rachel is attentive and considerate. She also knows how to handle a somewhat rowdy boy. She never fails to give me a daily report when we ask for it and it willing to work through any behavior issues that may arise. But within one day, he knew how to spell is name and within 3 months, he was spelling it! We are so happy to be part of the Chesterbrook family. read more

I dont understand the parent that wrote the comment about the teachers there. When i first came to chesterbrook the first smiling face i saw was ms tonya and ms celeste and still to this day they still have those smiles and i in total disagreement with this parent.Ms Tonya showed me how to potty train my child and gave me advice of how to deal with the anger my child showed sometimes and it worked and for that i am greatful for her and ms celeste.This is how i feel about the situation.If any or all the teachers were so rude and as you say ghetto you should have spoken with the teachers and the principal and not put the teachers in a situation that they have to defend their character this way and if the teachers are that rough and harsh you should find another center.I have been to three other centers and i really like ms tonya and ms celeste and the lovely ms rosa.THANK YOU chesterbrook and MS TONYA YOU ARE THE BEST!! read more

We have been looking a school for my 3 years and 8 months old daughter for a long time I am glad that a lot of my husband co workers recommended Chesterbrook Academy Germantown there kids are also went in this school.I am thankful to Ms.Ashly and Ms.Kim during the enrollment process they made it easy for us we really appreciate them.And to Ms.Rachel my daughter's teacher I will give her more than 5 star reviews as she showed her patience and passion taking care and teaching the kids especially to my daughter who's still adjusting socially.She is well experienced to handle kids and what I loved about to her she make sure the safety and learning of the class.I am forever thankful and grateful that we found Chesterbrook Academy Germantown and be part of my daughter's early childhood learning and family.Ms.Rachel we are forever thankful to you. read more

I dont think that the principal is a great fit for this area. She is not accommodating and her facial expressions makes me as a parent uncomfortable talking to her about any concern that I have. The other two ladies at the front desk are so personable. Ms Krista knows every child's name in the building and knows every parent, which I think is amazing. Ms Kelly is and has always been so accommodating and always put the families first. The teachers there are the best. My daughter has made such amazing progress in the class that she is in thanks to Ms celeste and Ms Julia. THE ONLY FAULT THAT I SEE NOW IS THAT OF THE PRINCIPAL. I have no regrets for taking my son to Chesterbrook Academy. My son only goes 2 days, and he keeps insisting to add him more days. Unfortunately , my schedule at work won't let me pick him on time, but I would love him to do all 5 days. My great thanks go to Ms. Sumitra and Ms. Vishaka of Room 5, they are so awesome. I have seen my son's growth, he was so emotional and almost everything made him cry. Ms Sumitra noticed it, and she started working on it, telling him he should learn to speak. My toddler has been going to Chesterbrook Germantown for two years, and I have been very happy with the program, the teachers, the admin, and the entire staff. Great communication from the school, excellent activities planning, constant updates the school. Great app to follow your kids during the day. I love my current daughter's teacher Mr Rob. I absolutely love this school! The staff is so attentive and truly cares about the kids. One of the things that really stood out to me is how many fun and engaging activities they offer! That's the big reason why I chose to keep my daughter enrolled since she was two, and now she is four and thriving. She currently in Ms. Rachel's class, and I'm impressed with the progress she's made. Our son absolutely loves going to Chesterbrook Academy every day. The teachers have helped him come out of his shell and give us feedback whenever we see them. There's plenty of activities and they have a great app that allows you to see what your children are up to daily. I am very impressed with this location. We transferred from an in home center. I was worried that my child wasn't going to fit in well. However, they have done a good job acclimating him. I have had a few concerns with security and the amount of children to teachers but those have been addressed immediately. It's a great location, the price is decent, and the teachers have been there long term. read more

Room 4- Ms. Celeste and Ms. Sangita area really nice teacher. My son enjoys going to CBA everyday. both of the teachers teach very well to all of the students.
