Awesome little book store. Loved the selections, and had places to sit, and go through the books. Great kids section too. Just the best. The employees were super nice too. Will be back to get more books.

Very cute shop & great bookstore clerks with a large selection too! I love how everything was laid out, there's even a table to play chess.

This is a gem of a bookstore located in the larchmont district full of interesting and entertaining books. The employees are super friendly here. They have a great collection of best sellers and obscure reads too. They are the oldest book store in Los Angeles and I hope that they last forever. Buy a book and read people! Take time off the electronic devices to enjoy a good book with a cup of joe. Highly recommended book store stop in Los Angeles. Plenty of parking, restaurants, shops and cafes in the larchmont area to explore.

Super cute little bookstore. They have a good vibe and all the employees seemed friendly and helpful. Their selection isn't the best but it's not a huge store, so it's fine for its size. They definitely have a more selective or limited theme, but it's understandable and maybe they're marketing to what sells in this specific neighborhood. Overall a must visit; at least once!

What a cute little bookstore located at Larchmont Village nearby all the restraints and coffee shops. After walking around and stopping at a few stores I saw this book store and I had to go in. Absolutely love the ambiance here, very cozy and smells heavenly. There were a lot of people looking through books and talking to the employees that were very friendly. I chose a few things that I wanted and left with a happy heart. The sitting areas are so cute to grab some books and look through them. A great place to check out when in the area.

I love this show and was excited to see his book!

Cute space, good selection of books, and a nice spot for younger readers as well. Found some author signed copies of various titles. Glad to see the independent book shops still going strong. Support local small businesses!

Super funny book at the window.

The fact that this is anything but a perfect solid five stars is insane. They are one of the best book stores even if small and cozy. They offer so much and if it's not on the shelf they order the book for you and you can support a local original bookstore rather than the alternative. They also offer cute gifts of mystery books that are gift wrapped yet they have a small summary to give you hints of what to give or surprise yourself. Dogs are welcome if behaved. They have journals and notebooks and puzzles not just fiction or nonfiction. The kids area is solid. Seats and space. It's a proper nook

Just went here for the first time last week to watch my friend do a reading. The space was small but cozy. The setup of all their genres I loved and the wall of tote bags was cute too!

Even when I'm not looking to buy anything, it's still worth coming just to explore. The place is unlike anything else. It's also a perfect spot for anyone creating content for a social media travel page. Upstairs you'll find an art gallery and several other shops, while downstairs has old vinyl records and CDs. If you love that classic old bookstore smell, this place has it in full. Personally it's not my favorite, but definitely worth noting for those who do. The main downsides are parking and crowds. Finding a spot by car can be a challenge, and the store draws a good number of tourists so it can get pretty packed. If you're not a fan of crowds, just keep that in mind before you go.

The manga selection is fantastic. Of course there are always going to be a few series or volumes missing, but that's just the reality of limited shelf space. Even so, they still carry far more manga than just about any bookstore I've been to, so it's hard to complain. The stationery section is absolutely adorable. If you love Japanese pens, notebooks, stickers, washi tape, or cute desk accessories, you'll probably leave with more than you planned. I also really appreciated their selection of Japanese books translated into English. It wasn't just manga. There were novels, art books, language books, and other titles that are difficult to find elsewhere. I wish I had more space in my luggage! This store is a real gem in Little Tokyo and an easy stop whether you're a longtime anime and manga fan or just curious about Japanese books and stationery. Sorry for no pictures. My arms were full of too much manga.

While it used to be on the second story of Weller Court, it is now on the street corner, directly outside of that shopping center. Came on the Sunday after July 4 and it was very busy, which wasn't a surprise, given that Anime Expo was finishing up down the street. Kinokuniya is loaded with manga, Japanese books, Japanese stationery, and random fun items. It's a fun store to find something; however, the costs are quite high. The cost is probably the reason that I don't buy things regularly from here; however, it is a favorite place to visit in Little Tokyo because they have so many fun things, their manga collection is quite extensive, and the pen selections are really nice.

As an indie bookstore, you are offered a variety of items: cards, books, Knick knacks, magazines, and more. I think the best part of this bookstore is that they have a study area located in the back of it. Combined with the study area is a coffee shop that also sells beer. How cool is that! I was hesitant to sit at the bar since we were in a time crunch, but h would have loved to enjoy it. There were numerous patrons sitting around and having conversations and enjoying their beverages. The vibes eye very vintage yet hipster. Loved it entirely and I absolutely want to visit again !

While in Korea, I didn't know that Incheon Airport would have shipping boxes for excess luggage, so when I thought I would be limited by just the space I left for souvenirs and other gifts in my bags, I could've bought all seven Harry Potter books. As you can tell by the town I'm in, I'm in the Bay Area. Here in the Bay, we don't have a lot of Korean bookstores, and the one I could find here didn't really focus on fiction/fantasy books. I found this place after searching the internet for "Korean bookstores in LA/SoCal." I called and asked the staff if they had Harry Potter. They said they didn't, but they told me that if I found some store back in Korea that had what I was looking for, they told me to email them the link or something and then they would order the books for me. When I pointed out that by that logic, if I could find a book by myself and then pay for the store to mail the books directly to me, customs and all, then I'd just be doing their job. The employee told me to "take it or leave it," and they acted completely shocked that I did leave.
