The school did an amazing job of preparing them for College and for life and adapting for each of their goals. Their focus on critical thinking and excellent writing and presentation skills has served our children well. My daughter went on to get an MD/PhD at Duke and her final training in the Harvard system. My youngest son has held increasingly important roles in a major renewable energy company and my oldest son is an artist and LSW. I mention their trajectories to counter comments that this school doesn't prepare students for the real world. It was a sacrifice for our family to afford but so worth the investment. They are all happy and fulfilled.

Ahhhhh... My Newman! I first experienced this track years…read moreago when I participated in Relay For Life. It has since had a make over and is all new and according to my husband "soft and spongy". According to me it is one of the levels of hell. In the track's defense, it is in no way at fault that I suck at running and have been stuck on week 4 of the couch to 5 k for weeks. The scoreboard horn reminds us both of a dalek and the writing above it is something very close to dalek... I can't remember what it is exactly... So I get the feeling that while I am struggling to jog around that circle the score board is saying "exterminate!" I have discovered that the track is not flat from my mapmyride tracking!! I knew it was tougher at the Nutter Rd side of the track and thought I was being a whine bag, but according to the tracking... There is a 20ft height difference. Thanks for the hill work. :-) The field and track are quite nice and are used quite a bit. We have seen people there every time we go. The refurbished parking are and surrounding area is super and well done.

This school is good, but could be better. I personally have attended this school for 4 years, and I…read morecan say with confidence that it lacks a certain level of quality on display at other high schools in my area. I see a lot of potential, if only the administration could relate to the students and their problems. The food is great when you can eat it, but you don't always get a chance. By far the worst thing about it this year is the schedule. Rather than try to fix a broken system, the admin doubled down on poorly designed time table that fixes problems from last year, while creating whole new ones. It was much better when I attended virtually. But seriously, the school needs to expand its building to compensate for larger incoming class sizes from the nearby middle school. I won't see the change in my time here, but I hope that the school will benefit from good changes in the future.
