Their one working cash register printer would not print a legible receipt. The business I work for requires that I submit fuel receipts. Chevron Hollister is violating California law by not providing receipts. This is not the first time that this has happened to me at this business. https://www.cdtfa.ca.gov/formspubs/pub12.pdf Page 8 "Vendor responsibilities - Giving receipts to your customers. The receipt must have your name and address, the date of the sale, the gallons and price of the fuel sold, the amount of use fuel tax collected, and the total amount of the sale." I just went here to fill up and they have a sign on pump 11 that says "pump is slow". No big deal I'm not in a rush, but what they didn't tell me is that pump also leaks gas all over your car as you're pumping. I had to move my car to another pump and in the process lost the Safeway rewards points I had just cashed out on their leaking pump. About $10 is rewards discount wasted. I go in and ask them what they are going to do to make it right and he told me to basically go F myself. Fix your pumps or make the sign say "slow and will leak all over your car" I won't go back but if you go and it leaks just know you're out any rewards points if you have to change pumps. Just go into the store and grab whatever they sell that covers the loss and walk out. Tell them I said hi on the way out. read more

Reviews are rather old, but not much has changed. They seem to have the lowest or near lowest price for diesel consistently. It comes at a cost though- two-thirds of the pups haven't worked for months, so be prepared to wait in line with a half dozen of your best diesel friends. The pump (singular) pumps slowly and spooges fuel when it doesn't shut off in time. The pumps are typically filthy as is the pavement you are standing on- fuel spilled all over, dried and spilled again. If you use a credit card, it pings your account and settles hours or a couple days later- so keep a close eye on that. It doesn't quickly resolve like other stations do. Access to the pone pump is daunting, the aisle on the south end is too narrow, typically have to drive in the dirt since everyone is jockeying their cars/trucks around. The ask isn't huge- get all the diesel pumps pumping and clean everything regularly- we're dropping $70-$150 a tank. read more

The only reason why this Chevron isn't getting a zero is because it's not an option. DO NOT buy anything from this place. Since they switched owners it has changed. Today when my husband went to put gas the tube fell off of the gas tank they charged him $150. It wasn't his fault it fell off as he placed gas in his car. The man working said he needed to pay for the tube replacement and they would need to call the city etc. It's bs!!! This Chevron is so conveniently located but the infrastructure is so bad you literally can't get gas here half the time. The diesel pumps suck and you have to pay inside for no apparent reason. Have had good service at this station, which had been a Valero station until sometime last year. I pass by it on the way to and from work in Gilroy, so it's easy to get to if I I need gas when going to or coming from work. I've used the restrooms a few times and they were pleasantly clean. Has a very big minimart where you can all types of food and buy newspapers and such. A carwash is included, but I've never used it. Overall, service has been fine. read more

They replaced the freestyler car wash system with a Mark vii choice wash XT. It was good. The gas pumps mixed us up as the ultimate wash was in the middle instead of the top. So we accidentally got deluxe. Overall, It was great! read more

Yea horrible customer service at this place the lady is very rude !! We always stop here for lunch and restroom break before work after long drive from San Jose but the lady on more than one occasion refuses to let us use restroom due to cleaning but there is no one ever cleaning and she is rude about it ! Gas is expensive compared to arco across street. Easy to get to but difficult to get back to highway (Welcome to the hotel california.) Getting a carwash required four trips into the store. It left dirt streaks all over car and windows. Reciept for carwash and fuel is confusing. Won't be going back there anymore. The star is for a clean store. read more

They are always on their cell phone while you check out and there is a Asian gentleman that works their that should be fired! I for one will not use this chevron anymore and I will instruct all of my friends family and clients in Hollister. Most irritating gas station in California... often out of gas, which is one thing, but they don't cover the prices on the sign if they are out of gas and/or diesel, so you pull into the station only to discover that all of the pump handles are covered in yellow plastic "Out of Order". If you are heading south on San Felipe you have to make a u-turn to get to the station, so if they're out you have to go down another block, wait at a traffic light to make another u-turn and get back on San Felipe. The other ridiculous thing they do is put a sign on the pump "Out of 87 octane, selling 89 and 91 at the same price as 87", however they have simply jacked up the price of the 87 to be the same pice as what the 91 use to be. Chevron is my favorite station, just not this one. My guess is they are getting ready to change ownership... again. read more

There's nothing worse at a gas station than pulling up getting out opening your gas door and then realizing that the keypad monitor does not work I have happened across this gas station several times and every time I am met with something broken or something not working the first couple times the credit card slide mechanism was broken to where credit card would not be read and it would force you to walk inside and do it at the cashier this last time that I will ever come here again not only was the cash price for supreme 45 cents higher than downtown which is astronomical the monitor on the pump I stopped at wasn't working no sign no nothing I noticed that several were in disrepair held together by packing tape if you're going to charge an outrageous price to your customers perhaps raising the bar on the level of standards you will have may help grow your company but not from me never again read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I have a brand new car which is kept in the garage when not in use. It only has 1500 miles on it so far. I used the car wash there 3 times. The third time I was at the car wash I noticed that the brushes sounded extra loud against the car. When I came home after getting the wash completed I checked the car and my tail light lenses were badly scratched. I kept my receipt and went back to speak to the owner and he denied everything. He said that the brushes would never damage a car and he also said that nothing had been changed to the car wash brushes, etc. He told me too bad and walked away. Also this gas station double charged my credit card at least twice. Good luck if you do business here. read more

The only station if you're headed out on 25 without a detour down San Benito. They are cool with the air machine and the bathrooms are usually passable. The pumps were recently upgraded from the ancient ones they used to have. Sometimes the person is in the back room and you have to shout for service. read more

I was looking for a car wash today other than that Arco gas station car wash.. Recently I went to the Arco gas Car Wash there and I always look at the front and back of my car before I always go through to check for previous damage ..... after going through their car wash at Arco their brushes put two dings on the back part of my trunk towards the top and two new games on the passenger side rear door area from their brushes.. I will never ever get my car washed there again and I highly suggest people don't either.. I found the Chevron car wash on San Felipe Road and the brushes there are absolutely perfect.. Before entering I checked them as the car wash at Chevron is a self serve car wash that you pay your money and then type in your own code... I got a outstanding wash with no damage to my car... I highly recommend the Chevron drive through car wash as it will not put damage on your car as the Arco Car Wash brushes.. Definitely giving the Chevron car wash 5 Stars I would give them more if I could and then when I was doing business there this lady named Elizabeth was so friendly and great service that I will definitely be shopping here all the time now 4 car washes read more
