Here I go again writing another Chevron gas station review. First, I have to acknowledge that the iPhone Yelp app made this review possible. Without this new feature on the app, this review wouldn't be possible. I thank the Yelp God and Yelp Dog for answering my prayers. OK...never been on Highway 99 before so whenever we go on a long drive, I'm always looking for the next Chevron station. We were on our way down south to visit Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park in Three Rivers to spend some time with nature and hang out with the giant trees. 99 is not 5 (thank goodness) as it passes a lot more towns and has more lanes. This particular one is off the Avenue 7 exit in Madera. How do I know? I added this business on Yelp via the iPhone. It appears to be new (maybe several months old) as the restrooms are still clean and it just has that new look to it. Also, it's cheaper to pay cash compared to credit card and probably 10 to 15 cents a galloon cheaper compared to the other ones we passed. It's also a perfect pit stop since it's about at the halway point if your'e going further down South past Bakersfield, and it's just a few exits past Fresno. It has a Subway inside so it makes it an ideal place for a pit stop since you can take care of a lot of business here. On the drive back up north, we stopped here again for gas since it's ideally located at the halway point of our trip. And did you know? Chevron has Techron! *Disclosure* I have a Yelp addiction of adding photos to almost every business I go to. Especially ones where it does not have a photo. Bad customer service. Get down to pee and grave snacks. Mean and rude guy. We have a big group of 10 and we look around the store about to grab the dry meats. This guy come over to my son and starts races his voice and telling him hey you w that group hey hey you not buying nothing and u all use the toilet when I'm over the next ail of food grabbing something to eat . We diced to leave what I was going to buy snacks . This means bad crevice person just maid me feel unwe . Never again would like to stop here . read more

I like the facilities of this Chevron and come here for the Rare Earth Coffee. They have a good selection of flavors and I love their Americano & their Horchata Latte which is really creamy, thick & frothy to the last drop. The people here are super friendly and remember me each time I come in greeting me with warm hello's each time. I love that there is the convenience of the gas station store, the proper coffee shop & a subway sandwich all in one. Their bathrooms are clean & it's a great rest stop read more

By all means do stop here if you are trying spend money faster than a speeding bullet. Fuel prices that have not been seen anywhere here on the mainland, perhaps rivaling those in in Manhattan or way out west in Hawaii! $3.6/gallon on 12/27/17. Wowser! read more

Only spot to grab a bite at their Subway between Madera and Fresno while filling up your car at the same time. Clean restrooms with a lots of parking space. read more

The hapooh who works at the counter is rude and has no costumer service or people skills !! Bathroom was nasty saw a mop bucket in aisle and when I asked for bathroom to be serviced he said no ! No respect or manners ! read more

Stopped to used the restroom on our way home from LA and the lady working there was so rude. She seemed irritated when I asked if there was a key to the bathroom, but she did this to about 3 other people who came in after me to use the bathroom as well. I was waiting to pay and when she was done with the person in front of me I walked up to the register but she didn't acknowledge me at all. She was on her phone texting for about a min before she scanned my items. Puts down my receipt and tells me to sign it (while she goes back to the phone). I finish signing and she doesn't even notice because she typing away on her phone. I ask her if that's it and she just nods not even looking up from her phone. Clean facility, easy off 99. Courteous staff and they even had Slush Puppies (childhood favorite drink!)

One of the best Chevron's I've ever been to! The restrooms were very nice and clean. The employe staff were very friendly and helpful. They also have a Subway included inside the store along with a Coffee shop! The coffee shop is called Rare Earth Coffee. If you ask me, I believe the Rare Earth Coffee is kinda better than Starbucks due to the large vast amount of their different types of drinks and fresh made pastries! The exterior of the store is kept very clean also, there's not a single amount of trash laying on the parking ground. read more

TAXED!!!!! This place is always AT LEAST 40 cents more expensive then any other gas stations and ALWAYS +10 cents more then what's advertised!!! Despite all of this I still would buy gas here because of convenience but I will no longer. The cashier tried to charge me 18 dollars for an orange juice, one slim Jim, and a small bag of chips. When I pointed out that that wasn't right he tried to argue with me about it saying that was the price of the items I got and even to asked if I couldn't pay it. I told him to rescan them because I wanted to see which item was that expensive and when he did the price was around 7 dollars. read more

I needed gas, bad, so I figured that gas close to the Highway would be rather affordable. Guess not. Gas here was averaged at 13 cents higher. I understand the wanting to make a few bucks but when 4 miles down the road the gas was $.13 cheaper I felt that Chevron and its staff are all about the gains. Won't be going back. read more

Road signs stay it is 24 hours. Stopped to use the bathroom and it was closed. The owner told me the store was 24 hours not the rest room

If I was you, I stay away from this place. Their ATM WILL stiff you for ur money and won't give u a receipt for the transaction and the owner of the store and ATM won't reimburse for the error. On September 29, 2013, I stop there to get mg daughter something to munch on and I withdraw $20 for my friend's dad funeral donation and nothing came out, not even the receipt. I'd checked my online bank statement via smarphone and saw the $20+$2.50=$22.50 charged on my card. I'd notified the cashier and showed him my online bank statement. He say he couldn't do anything cause he's not the owner and was told to leave him my contact and the owner will contact me within a couple if days. Will a week has pass and heard nothing from them. So before I left home to Sacramento, I drop by there to discuss the issue and the owner is being a bitch and say he's not going to give my $20 that his ATM stole from me. I was pissed off and hella mad so I cuzz him out and left. I'll be out of $20 from this con and I will never shop at his mofo station anymore, even if my vehicle ran out of gas in his parking lot, I will walk to the next gas station and refill my gas can than getting gas from this mofo. read more

First, let me say this, they are not 24 hours a day per say as advertised by the sign. After a certain time it is only window service so you can not go into the store. Since it was 3 am and i being a person of color, and a tall, somewhat intImidating one at that, I made sure to be more than courteous to the attendant (who is also a person of color). We stopped here to use the bathroom but also to buy some snacks as well for our road trip. Unfortunately, the attendant denied us access stating only window service was open at that time. Now, I have a sick passenger who needs to use the bathroom and so did I. Now comes two Caucasian women who pull up (looking like they just came from the club, in terms of appearance; no judgement, just setting the scene) and guess what..the dude lets them right in..surprise! Now, I would somewhat undestand (maybe) if i was with all men but i was travelling with two women as well. The funny thing is, after being denied, we jokingly said he would probably let them in. To our dismay, he sure didn't bat an eye at them. We did not get his name but the attendant had an orange turban so he is not hard to miss.
