Here I go again writing another Chevron gas station review…read more First, I have to acknowledge that the iPhone Yelp app made this review possible. Without this new feature on the app, this review wouldn't be possible. I thank the Yelp God and Yelp Dog for answering my prayers. OK...never been on Highway 99 before so whenever we go on a long drive, I'm always looking for the next Chevron station. We were on our way down south to visit Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park in Three Rivers to spend some time with nature and hang out with the giant trees. 99 is not 5 (thank goodness) as it passes a lot more towns and has more lanes. This particular one is off the Avenue 7 exit in Madera. How do I know? I added this business on Yelp via the iPhone. It appears to be new (maybe several months old) as the restrooms are still clean and it just has that new look to it. Also, it's cheaper to pay cash compared to credit card and probably 10 to 15 cents a galloon cheaper compared to the other ones we passed. It's also a perfect pit stop since it's about at the halway point if your'e going further down South past Bakersfield, and it's just a few exits past Fresno. It has a Subway inside so it makes it an ideal place for a pit stop since you can take care of a lot of business here. On the drive back up north, we stopped here again for gas since it's ideally located at the halway point of our trip. And did you know? Chevron has Techron! *Disclosure* I have a Yelp addiction of adding photos to almost every business I go to. Especially ones where it does not have a photo. She told me she did not know that one of the pumps at the gas station she was supervising did not work and I had to leave. I told her she had terrible customer service and she did not know how to do her job. But I did not tell her that I hope she gets fired.

The smell in the men's room is nauseating at best, is full of graffiti and I have yet to see a worse toilet. I noticed the 91 gas is priced very different from 87, over a dollars difference. Decided not to fuel up there, called the station to ask if 91 really was that much. The attendant stated they cannot give prices over the phone and hung up. What a shame to the 76 brand. I'll be taking my business to Valero from now on.

We got 250kW+ for the first time ever, charging from about 11% to 25% in fewer than 10 minutes, just enough time to use the restroom and to buy a (losing) Powerball ticket. There are a lot of fast food restaurants in the food court area of the gas station but most of them seemed to be closed at 8pm. Other than that, it would be nice for the chargers to be a little better lit, but this was a super solid supercharger.
