We love love love the donuts that the store sells also. (We often drive through Alfalfa on our way to Bend, just to get a donut). If you see that the case doesn't have the one you want, just ask - they always have more in the back! Their fresh coffee was an added bonus with that scrumptious donut, by the way. They will refund your money if you ask, but that might not be an option for those just traveling through.

Some many not care about the pennies but over time, that adds up to a reasonable loss in my pocket and a reasonable gain in their till (especially since I'm not the only customer who pays in cash). Pulled up to the station, the station was on auto-pilot and I pumped my own gas. Quick note: Apparently, in the past, Oregon had a law requiring an attendant pump your gas for you, I was pleasantly surprised that this was no longer the case. I pumped my own gas; it was reasonably priced based on the comparable prices that showed up on Yelp. The station seemed quite clean and the pump worked well. The pump spit out a receipt (which is handy if you are travelling) or need further proof if the Car Rental place tries to charge you for gas! Seamless experience!
