It was very easy to locate once we got passed the main gate. There was plenty of parking for small and large vehicles. The main exchange is very affordable and large with plenty of shopping options. Be advised that customers can only access the main exchange, if they have a valid military identification card. The price is inside the BX are in line with other exchanges, but the selection was bigger than Peterson or AFA. There are also better choices food. I give it a thumbs up as far as base exchanges go.

This review applies to the parking for the various businesses within this plaza (Borriello Brothers…read morePizza, Today's Health Care, 7-11, Shell), not the businesses directly. The management of this plaza requires their tenants to sign a contract with J & J Towing, which allows J & J to tow an unattended customer vehicle at any time, even during normal business hours. There usually aren't many vehicles in the parking lot, and J & J will drive through, target a vehicle for towing, and go around to the businesses asking who owns the vehicle. If you aren't physically there to say it belongs to you, then they WILL tow it. While there are several Customer Only Parking signs in this large parking lot, there are none in front of the Pizzeria. I went to Borriello Brothers before it was open for lunch, and didn't see the restricted parking signs. I parked my car in front of the pizzeria and left the area with a friend to kill some time until lunch. Within 1 1/2 hours after I had parked my car, J & J towed my vehicle from the parking lot, and it took me two hours and cost $210 to get it out of storage. If you visit the business in this plaza, be very cautious about where and how long you park.

I was able to talk with the shop owners who were helpful and friendly and genuinely glad to see me. When do you ever get THAT treatment at a chain store? The hunt & find of unique gift is a big part of the charm in the shops up and down Colorado Ave and the experience of walking through shops that aren't name brand or in a stuffy hustling mall can't be beat.

Paid $50 for a pair of jeans that had a zipper immediately break and because they were worn once apparently that is unacceptable. When I left she said "maybe I can actually help" and then I said that would be great, I only bought them like a month ago. Then she changed her mind and said "oh yeah then no we won't take them" even though I have an email stating that my return is within the acceptable time window. Bummer because I liked the jeans but absolutely unacceptable to not follow return policy and to not even ask helpful questions.

Walking into the Leech Pit is like getting vertigo at a strobe filled dance club (oontz oontz oontz) - there's just so much goodness you just need to pause to catch your breath and take it all in. But you can't pause because your heart is pounding and you're giddy with excitement. The rare concert t-shirts, the racks and racks of clothes that serve as documentary of every phase you ever went through, the action toys you spent every afternoon with (and realize you now could be rich if you had kept them instead of letting mom donate them to the stupid kid down the road because you're too old for them now SMH), the records - oh sweet Jesus the records! - and even record players for your new collection! It's a one stop shop for your wildest dreams!! As if the shop wasn't Valhalla on earth on its own, I met the owner too (I think his name was Adam, but he looks like an Izzy). I had an extremely uncomfortable and disrespectful experience at this store…read more I was made to feel like I was being accused of stealing not once, but twice. At one point, I had put my belongings down for a moment, and an employee moved them from where I had placed them and put them on a container without even speaking to me about it. What really crossed the line was having an employee block or stand in front of the door when I had absolutely nothing in my hands. That was embarrassing, humiliating, and completely unnecessary. What made the situation even worse was that while walking through the store, I saw other customers putting their belongings down as well, but I did not see them being treated the way I was. Being watched, having my belongings moved, and then having the exit blocked made me feel singled out and treated like a thief when I had done nothing wrong. Customers should not be made to feel suspicious or unwelcome simply for shopping. The whole experience left me feeling disrespected and embarrassed, and I seriously hope management addresses how customers are being treated.
