Cakes, pastries, cookies, sandwiches, salads, pizza, bread, coffee and they also have Italian products where you could buy(cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, cold cuts, pantone ect). My favorites here are the cannolis, the lobster tale and also the sandwiches. I also love the cafe cream and the ice limoncello. This place is perfect to grab something in the morning but also good for lunch time and dinner. They also have a small eating area where ppl can eat the food that they order. For Valentine, I had their cupcakes: chocolate, vanilla. The chocolate cupcake was dry. The bottom of the cake was sticking on the cupcake paper. They seem to have changed recipe of their chocolate cakes. The vanilla cupcake was better, although not soft, nor moist. The frosting tasted like shortening rather than buttercream.

I would pick up any other item from their menu if I'm not feeling particularly choosy that day. It'll do the trick. According to my tastebuds, they take the crown for the zaatar pizza. Delicious dough, the right thickness and size but most importantly the zaatar mix itself. That right amount of sumac and perhaps other ingredients are used which dictates my judgment for this food. A warning tho, you have to advise them not to crisp your pizzas. If you don't like them well done, just ask them not to do so or otherwise they will. Looks like it's their standard way of baking the zaatar. Not for me, I don't like my zaatar slightly burnt. I tried almost all other well known bakeries in Laval and Montreal that sell zaatar along with other similar Lebanese/Syrian specialties and the closest one that comes to Najah's zaatar is the hole in the wall Arax bakery on Samson street. A runner up worth giving a try also. As for their sweets.... hmmm, I personally don't come to these type of bakeries for sweets. It's not their main specialty so it could be a hit or miss taste experience and also, freshness will play a major role. Throughout my numerous visits there, I haven't witnessed not even once anyone ordering baklavas and this is a busy bakery, specially on weekends.

There is also a great cheese and deli counter where the homemade bacon is tasty and the handmade signs to let you know about cheeses that are recently award-winning are both helpful and endearing. On the weekend there are a few small tables with umbrellas where you can sit, eat and people watch, but you're next to a (great) fish shop, so it's not romantic or anything. The staff are low key, helpful, and seem to speak at least three languages at any given time (English, French, Italian.) There is a freezer section in the back full of homemade pastas stuffed with things like panchetta and portobello mushrooms and cheap yummy homemade pizza dough. Some things are eyebrow-raisingly expensive: the multi-coloured olives and the wild mushrooms are in this category, so are some of the kooky fine vinegars, oils, teas and chocolates, and the rarer cuts of meat. This is to be expected I guess but as a local I appreciate that you can also always get fresh quality basics like eggs, milk and sour cream here.
