Some of the rooms have been renovated, and they are really nicely done. I would recommend them. They are our first choice when making a reservation. The motel is run by Myles Clark and his father Doug who are very nice and very good innkeepers. It is located on Water Street, the main street of Summerside, about 30 minutes from the Confederation Bridge. When we get there, we hop on our bikes and go for a ride along the waterfront in Summerside. In the fall they served muffins, toast, juice, milk and coffee for breakfast. It is worth noting this motel is number one on Trip Advisor for all of PEI. The friendly and professional owners ensure that you are well taken care of throughout your stay. It had a microwave, mini kitchen sink, coffee maker, blow dryer, flash lights, breakfast, internet, cable, pool and endless towels!! OMG! I didn't want to leave. Best find ever. I was on the road for a week and every night was a new motel. All the other places were good too but this place was even better. Halifax motel was a nightmare, so this place made up for it. My room, on the first floor, had room control, but it also had a window facing a lawn area which could be left open. I really liked that because after a week of "hotel air" elsewhere, it was nice to open a window on a warm summer night in PEI for fresh air. You can get a view of the water from the back of the hotel, but you don't really have waterfront access. For that you'll have to go down Water St., along the harbor and boardwalk. There is a beach at Linkletter about 10 minutes away. This hotel has both an indoor and outdoor pool, and a small exercise room with a nautilus and elliptical. The interior corridor is open for both floors, sort-of like a large enclosed porch, with plenty of comfortable chairs. Your room also has an interior window looking into this area, so be sure to close your curtains! They provide complimentary coffee and tea, but not a complimentary breakfast. There is a breakfast area where you can order various items at quite reasonable prices. They are also affiliated with a restaurant next door where you can have dinner. But there are some important things of which you should be aware before considering this hotel: - Many rooms have a walk-in shower instead of a tub - There is no elevator to get to the 2nd or 3rd floors - The hotel offers Wi-Fi, and you'll have no problem connecting to it with your PC or your iDevices. However, Android smartphone users will not be able to connect at all, and the hotel cannot provide any help on that.

The cooks use local ingredients including many herbs and vegetables from their gardens. Service here is excellent, as the manager is deeply involved in operations. For a great view of St. Peters Bay and fantastic food this place is worth the trip. We often stop here on the way back from Basin head beach or after cycling / hiking near St. Peters. Ending a summer day here makes for a fantastic end to a great PEI day!
