From the very first online Form Submission to a few days after my wedding when I returned two napkins I found in a shoe box ( I don't know how they ended up there) All of the girls seemed genuinely excited to work with me.. Also, being able to make an appointment was huge for me because my time is valuable (Or so I tell myself) and I love having all the attention on me .. and not to mention their selections and quality were galaxies better than the other companies in the area.. Quality- IS A HUGE factor for me because I used another company from the area, not to be named, in the past and the chairs were ugly and mismatched.. Chic made a special day "magical!" Magical is the word that was used by many of our guests to describe our wedding reception and Chic was a HUGE part of that. The event was held at a great place with wonderful views, but their room is really nothing more than a conference/meeting space complete with drab beige tones and curtains that I expect to see in a 1980's movie theater. Chic showed us a few before and after shots of other venues and we set them to the task of transforming our reception site. We live in another state so we had to put a tremendous amount of faith in them since we could not be local and hands-on all the time. The difficulty of their task was compounded by the fact that there were time constraints in room availability to set everything up. They had a matter of hours to transform our room and they did it flawlessly. When we walked in for the first time it took our breath away! The lighting set the perfect mood for a perfect party and the décor could not have been done any better. We really felt like royalty in that room on our wedding night! The transformation of the room was worth every penny at twice the price! The venue is even asking our photographer for shots of the room for their website! Our guests have commented on the intimacy of the venue and the look was something you would see on wedding TV shows. We got married last weekend in Big Sur, in the great outdoors and had to rent a lot of stuff to make it all happen. Chic Events was recommended by our day-of-coordinator (a freaking gem named Mariah Green-- I'll review her elsewhere)-- and I'm so glad I took her advice. Because we planned our own wedding, there was a lot of back and forth the last few weeks about what our caterer said we actually needed for chafing dish rental, adding things, taking them off, etc. But Chic Events (and most especially Andrea, a total sweetheart) handled it so incredibly kindly. Even I was sick of emailing them to tweak our order but Andrea rolled with our changes each time. If only every wedding planning interaction could go so smoothly! We cut a few corners by not renting their linens in the end and in general taking out the extras, but Chic Event Rentals was fine with every change, was on-location early and handled setup and tear down like pros. I even heard they gave us a few extra squares of dance floor, since they had it-- and that was awesome of them too. (also, we needed it, good call guys.) Chairs, some extra tables, full plates, cutlery, glasses, some decorations-- all was delivered early and picked up a little late, just exactly what you want when the party seems to end too soon. :) Thank you so much, Chic Event Rentals! So the only reason this place is getting one star is solely based on the service we got. I'm pretty sure they awesome at what they do but as my fiancé and I walked in we expected to be greeted and to be approached by whom ever was in charge or something but that didn't happen. There was at least 4 employees just standing laughing I'm like hello? Really it's going to take for someone to approach us until we are almost to the end of the place? We didn't really get much information of what exactly they offer. They surely made us feel not welcomed so we will be going elsewhere. read more

I rented out chairs for my park wedding. I did not end up renting any accessories here. The chairs were delivered and picked up, and worked great for the event. The prices for delivery on a weekend etc. did add up, but I did not look around for anything cheaper. Overall I would recommend them for the Monterey area. read more

I have to be honest at the outset, I am a wedding florist and I work with Chic on a pretty regular basis. They have a fantastic selection of linens and specialty rentals. The staff is marvelous and friendly. I meet with couples in their showroom and we can use the "play table" to do mock set-ups. It is a great set-up all around~ fantastic product, friendly staff, and a desire to make sure everything is perfect! I can't recommend a better rental company for any event. read more

We really enjoyed our experience working with Chic Event Rentals. We worked with Marianne through our wedding planner and she was extremely professional and went back and forth with us on multiple iterations of our proposal (especially additions at the last minute). She also responded extremely promptly to inquiries, and the day of the wedding went very smoothly. Post wedding, we ended up with some missing/broken items, but Chic was very professional in the way they handled things and it was all very fair. Our outdoor wedding was perfectly lit and furnished, and when we found out it was going to rain, Anthony sprang into action and had the entire event tented for us on just a couple of days notice. You are literally working with the best and great service like what Anthony and the team at Chic provided is priceless on the most important day of your life! YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!! This company SAVED our outdoor event at the 11th hour on the first downpour of the year!!! Their office manager actually called the owner as he was landing at a distant airport to get advice on how to help us. They were resourceful, professional, on time, responsible and they actually CARE about delivering great customer service. We used Chic for our wedding rentals at Holman Ranch and were very pleased with them. The delivery and pick-up process went seamlessly and all of the items were in great condition. They have a showroom where you can see most of them in person before as well which really helps.
