Music was one of the most important parts of our wedding, and Anthony absolutely delivered. We were looking for a DJ who shared our music taste, and Anthony was the perfect match. His system made it easy to specify which songs to play and which to avoid. We provided several playlists for different parts of the day (ceremony, cocktail hour), and Anthony kept the vibes spot on during dinner even without a prepared playlist. We also had many specific moments where we wanted certain songs played at exact times, and Anthony nailed every single one down to the second. We had an excellent time planning our wedding with DNA entertainment. DJ Evan asked all the relevant questions to make our event run smoothly and expertly adjusted the music for the dance floor to ensure the vibes were great. Drinking on the job as well as a slew of other problems. Note: I have already reviewed and complained to this vendor about their service, to which they replied with "we feel sorry for your middle school DJs" and a slew of dishonest comments. They deny anything I've complained about, and any comments on their behalf such as insistence on honoring the cocktail hour playlist or extra DJ time are categorically untrue. Highly unprofessional, and I would strongly suggest going elsewhere. Review: Absolutely terrible, and the only wedding vendor we had a problem with. And before the owners reply to my review about how we tipped the DJ so he must've done a good job, as they have with others (extremely unprofessional), we left our tip with our coordinator ahead of time and chose to enjoy our wedding night rather than wasting time tracking down and retracting our tip. From what I was told, the DJ showed up late to set up, after already choosing a set up time that was much later than what we had suggested. We asked that he either wear a tuxedo or all black. He did not. His first job was to play a playlist we had spent a long time making, and that was very important to us, for cocktail hour. If he needed to play more music outside the playlist, the type of music we wanted were "Jazzy Brazilian Instrumentals". It was so simple, and we did so much of the work for him, and he just did not play the playlist!!!! Neither did he play the type of music we selected. When we were on the dance floor, he would just play entire songs START TO FINISH, with no DJing. We gave him very clear instructions for when cake cutting, the first dance, etc were, so that we wouldn't have to worry about logistics on our own wedding day. He would constantly come up to us, and interrupt us mid conversation with our friends to confirm which time we wanted the cake cutting announced at and if we wanted it announced etc. Lastly but most importantly, DRINKING ON THE JOB!!!! We saw our DJ leaving the booth for prolonged periods of time to go to the bar and get alcoholic drinks for himself. I consider drinking on the job, at a wedding, to be highly highly unprofessional. Especially when so many things have already gone wrong. This is also disrespectful to our lovely bartending vendors, who charged per head they were serving, in which he was not included because vendors shouldn't be drinking on the job. read more

From the beginning, DNA was very prompt and professional with any questions you had via email. What can I say about Darion... He is a FREAKIN' INCREDIBLE DJ and MC. He made our wedding so memorable and so fun. I think our approach was a bit different from most parties that he DJs because we gave him a specific playlist and he didn't skip a beat! He made the flow of the ceremony and reception so smooth. He also helped me plan in a surprise for the hubs, which means that he was working directly with the hubs on the main playlist, and then plotting with me on the side. He's also so full of the right amount of energy, getting the party pumped up as an MC. A DJ is one of the most important things at a wedding. One because what is a wedding without some slappin' music! Two, because the DJ is the one running the show, from before the wedding even starts. Our DJ, JASON O'NEIL killed it! Prior to the wedding, we met in person, twice. We went over the huge packet of paperwork. There were still a few things I wasn't sure of, so he told me to hang onto it and give it to him when I was ready. We met again just a couple of days before our wedding to finalize. He was able to mix a song for us, that started with an 8 second intro, and then smoothly transition to the chorus for our recessional. For the grand entrance, he played each persons song starting from exactly where he was suppose to. He even added our flower girls (literally seconds before the grand entrance) and played Party in the USA, per their request. He made all of our announcements throughout the reception, and even helped with a couple of other things that weren't even DJ related. All of these things were amazing, but the best part about Jason was his ability to read a crowd and play the songs that would keep the party going. My wedding was suppose to end at 10pm, and we ended up partying and dancing until 1am! Nobody wanted the night to end, including Jason! I recently attended a wedding at the Intercontinental and DJ Darion from DNA Entertainment was the deejay. Homeboy rocked it - polite and respectful during those special wedding announcements and toasts but party rocker when it came time to hit the dance floor. I don't think I've ever seen a wedding dance floor as packed as this one. Darion had everyone young and old showing their best moves - a great accomplishment when you consider the difference in musical tastes. And he was receptive to requests. (Unless the song is on the honored couple's "do not play" list - what do you mean you don't want "99 Problems" played at your wedding?!) Besides the perfect song selections, Darion displayed some actual deejay skills, mixing songs quickly and on beat. It's the first time I've seen anything better than slow fades between songs. We hired DNA to DJ our son's Persian/American weeding they changed DJ on us last week which was ok as long as he would do his lob well, oh NO!!! - we specifically asked for a balanced mix of music, the DJ completely ignored our request and played his own music, at one point no one was on the dance floor my wife had to go and force him to play a few Persian music. -We went through lots of effort to make sure he has the music(his Persian music was old and outdated) but he chose not to play them!!!. -He even stopped 5 minutes short when everyone were pleating with him for one more song, I was very disappointed with his performance. Things flowed smoothly - The Grand entrance announcement made us feel like royalty - We had last minute changes - Jon was flexible and accommodating - Flat fee Challenges: - I had to forward emails to Anthony (the owner) in order to get a response from Jon during the wedding planning process - An assistant DJ tagged along to my wedding. Not a problem until you have to pay for dinner for an extra person. Jon responded saying that they shared the vendor meal. I'm still waiting to hear back from the caterer to confirm this. I was charged for 2 meals. - The exact words from a few guests during the wedding was that "He is not listening! Can you go talk to him?" [with regards to requesting songs to be played]. - We requested no sexual songs be played. (Yes, we did play Let's get it on by Marvin Gaye for our last dance, but , hey, that's a classic!) I was very surprised to hear Nelly- Hot in Here (what year did that come out again?). Overall, the night flowed smoothly. I would suggest better communication before the wedding. read more
