I was a part of the May 2019 Denver Beauty/Bridal/ Social Media workshop, there are very few makeup artist schools in Denver and I'm so thankful this school does pop ups here! This school was definitely worth the price in my opinion! I'm extremely into makeup and try to learn about new products and techniques everyday but this school taught me SO MUCH in just 3 days I was blown away! The class was a great mixture of listening/note taking, watching live demos, and hands on practice all taught by the amazingly talented and patient instructor Kayti which was so helpful for remembering the content since it was all in 3 days! Also, the products we got as part of our kits were all amazing products that were super easy to learn with that I would even love to go get for my personal use! My two main concerns were learning sanitation and learning how to speed up my application time on others, from this class I learned everything I would need about sanitation as well as brought my application time down from 2 1/2 hours to about an hour and 15 minutes!! An awesome end to the 3 days was getting our own models to work on and a photoshoot of our makeup we did on them! Plus, Amy was so awesome at breaking down the essentials for boosting our social media business! Thanks to the class I feel prepared for my future as a makeup artist: I have techniques to streamline my work, a great start to my makeup kit, and plenty of pictures to start my portfolio thanks to all the hands on work and photoshoot at the end. Chic Studios is an excellent professional makeup school. The owner Amy, Chic staff and instructors are wonderful people to work with! They are all very knowledgeable (with many years in experience), friendly, and genuinely helpful when it comes to scheduling and teaching you how to master makeup techniques- ranging from airbrush makeup for bridal, TV/Film makeup, contour/highlighting, etc! I attended the 3 week course (basic beauty + bridal + fashion/TV) at the NYC campus in October 2019 and learned so much about professional makeup application. It's one thing to learn technique from YouTube, but it's another to learn directly in a hands-on environment from professional working artists with years of experience. Learning from working artists was the most valuable part of the course, in my opinion. I took this course as a completely new MUA and really felt after the course that I had the basics down and was ready to get myself out there in my market. After taking the course, your success 100% depends on you, but if you take the knowledge you learn from Chic in stride, you are well on your way to becoming a successful working MUA. read more

Just got a pedicure by Chic Studios and it was perfect - relaxing, engaging, beautifully done. The space is inviting and the owner took the time to introduce herself and share about services provided at her space. At the end of my pedicure I booked a gel manicure for Friday and I cannot wait to head back! Thank you for a wonderful afternoon! She is a hidden treasure in Denver! I went in for a lash lift for the first time and my experience was fantastic! she is a true professional (who even teaches about extensions and lifts). I was in great hands, she walked me through every step and the results were hands down amazing. I now have a natural looking curve in my eyelashes which make applying mascara a breeze. I am studying at the best makeup school in town and this is the last week of my studies. I will miss school very much. During these 5 days I got used to it and made friends with all the teachers and students in the class. These were my best 5 weeks in a while. A very positive environment! Cosmetics are provided entirely by the school and are presented with a cosmetic bag with cosmetics. I came to school with absolutely zero knowledge, but now my makeup work on models is great. At school I learned a lot of makeup techniques and the most important thing is now I can do absolutely any makeup. I am very grateful to this school! And I will come again for new knowledge! I have taken the Airbrush class with professional celebrity makeup artist Fred. This has been a phenomenal experience.He is so nice and has the best techniques and information. You learn everything and beyond to be a success! I highly recommend this school. Also taking the 3 day class with Kim she being a professional bridal and etc makeup teacher. I can't tell you how much I loved my training time with Chic Studios! The only bad part was that it had to come to an end. Amy and Kayti are so knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, and their energy is contagious! I graduated in August and September of 2020! I know incredible?! They were one of the only schools open to teaching with covid policies! Fred my instructor was great! So hands on for a celeb MUA! Plus T and Ashley! They were so attentive! Then you have the girls who work administratively they're so sweet and organized! Plus amy is an amazing, she's the owner plus a fantastic MUA and is very hands on! I wish there was a larger location downtown that's the only thing I can say "negatively" but it's super cozy! I was nervous at first because I never had a facial done before and I didn't know what type of skin i have. When I arrived at the school everyone was friendly and out going. It was a easy check-in. I had my facial done by Chic Studios. she was friendly, outgoing and I felt comfortable right away. She truly made my face and energy feel so rejoice, relaxed, and flawless. she knew my skin type, what type of facial should be done and recommend product that works perfect for my skin.
