Our first time to visit this store and my son and I were impressed and had a wonderful experience. We were greeted right away and the young gentleman who helped was Pablo. He is an example and shows skills of what customer service is all about. He helped my son find the right shoe and for the right price. Really impressed! I was going to order our soccer team uniforms online but saw billboard for Chicago Soccer and saw they had a store on the northwest side. So I drove over after work to check it out. There were some other customers but I was waited on promptly and the guy helping me out was super knowledgeable about uniforms. He really did help me make good decisions that an online store would probably not have been able to. Plus, it was nice to see and feel the uniforms before buying them. Turnaround time was exactly as promised which was great too. Only reason not giving 5 stars...price. I did find same thing cheaper online but it also may have only appeared cheaper since I didn't go through ordering process. Where to start, i was greeted with smiles and great vibes. I came into the store to buy some gear for my boyfriend and was delighted with the help i got. I would like to shine the light on three young men who were a great help. As i walked in i asked for help from a young man by the name of Edwin, although he was just getting off his shift he was kind enough to point me to a great staff member named Tony. Tony was exeptional, he answered all my questions about the soccer team my boyfriend liked and told me about the sales they were having. Thanks to him i bought what i needed and then some. I love this place, it has everything I need for my football related needs. Not only do they have my favorite teams jerseys but they have my most hated teams jerseys as well. I really became a bigger fan recently when I went to them to purchase Gold Cup tickets. I had made a mistake in purchasing only three tickets when I actually needed four. I didn't realize my mistake until I got home and it was too late to go back and fix that. So I went to the store the next morning, as soon as they were opened, and told them about my situation. Not only where they understanding they gave me a whole new set of tickets in trade for the three tickets i had purchased the night before. I don't think too many places would do this for me. This store sells shoes, they don't make the shoes. One smart person actually called the manufacturer, which was good, but the others, come on people. you go in there, get what you want and get out. My son will start playing soccer with the AYSO next month. We stopped here to buy his gear. One stop shopping! We found cleats, shin guards, socks, and a ball. Good thing he tried on the shin guards- the pack we grabbed had two left leg shin guards in it; I'm glad we realized this in the store rather than right before his first game. I was shopping for an FC Barcelona Messi jersey for my boyfriends birthday gift and placed a special order with Leslie. Store policy requires you to come in to purchase the jersey and then place the order for the players authentic name and number. Traveling to the store twice was going to be impossible for me. Purchased cleats there that went bad after few practices.Contacted the store and was told to bring an original receipt.After going there was told that they cant take it back because they were worn already in the game.Not sure if product was original soooo placed call to Nike that accepted my return without receipt.Overall who would think Nike cleats will go bad in 10 days??? Horrible customer service!!! Shop somewhere else! We bought a top of the line pair of Nike shoes that promptly fell apart in 4 weeks. Yes, I know that's not the store's fault but the manager refused to help me resolve it. She said it looked like "normal wear and tear" and blamed us for not taking care of them. Believe me, we took good care of these expensive shoes which were only worn on the pitch. The cleat base had peeled off the leather on both shoes and required copious amounts of duct tape to hold together. She said because we came back 11 days past the 30-day return policy, she was not willing to help beyond directing me to deal with Nike on my own. I won't be going back!!!! read more

My rugby team need to get numbers printed on new jerseys. After several calls to actual printing stores I was left in disbelief that several wouldn't print on items if the customer brings them in, are way more expensive than I expected. Finally one store referred me to Chicago Soccer. Called them up told them what I needed and when I needed it done by (about 3 days). Their price was about half and done quicker than what I had been quoted by competitors. Results we better than expected and had our jerseys back in time for our first game. When I picked up the jerseys (near closing time) I asked about getting a logo printed on the jerseys as well. Left my info an got an email back the next morning. I was quoted an amazing price for a 4 colored logo, and will be dropping off the jerseys today to get the logos printed on them. read more

A pretty good selection of boots, especially if you are looking for just released nike shoes. Now that my foot has stopped growing and I know what size to get for each model, I generally buy my boots online (its cheaper) but try on new ones whenever the makers make significant changes to the boot at Chicago Soccer. The employees (all I've talked to play soccer themselves) understand that and are totally okay with it. That said, they sometimes offer great deals on older boots which I've taken advantage of. About eight months after the 4th modle of the adipure came out I bought the 3rd modle for sixty bucks. Thats more than half off the same pair of boots professional athletes wore 8 months ago! Only downside is that because it is Chicago's best soccer store it is pretty popular and if you have a common shoe size, they WILL sell out quickly. On multiple occasions I've asked to try a pair of shoes and have been told they are out and won't get another shipment for a week or so. Still, I have yet to find a better collection of all things soccer in one location in the city itself. read more

My experience with Chicago Soccer was horrible. I am not a new customer, so my experience was beyond disappointing. Customer service was awful. The store made a mistake on my paid order. Instead of trying to fix the problem immediately I was transferred from person to person for a week on the phone. I was told we will call you back several times. I drove 30 mins to the store only to get there to be told I could not be helped for another 4 days. I ordered my items 6 weeks before I needed them mostly because I knew the order would be incorrect. The efficiency is horrible. Professional associations do not exist at this location. I do not recommend this store to any parents with children that play club soccer. The store manager was very un-professional with little managment experience, or experience with corporate vendors more specifically. Fantastic customer service online. My college intramural soccer team wanted jerseys for our senior year, and this place was perfect for that. After the order was placed, we had several problems with supply (didn't have the right jersey color in sizes we wanted) as well as the logo we had submitted, but the staff was very polite and more than willing to help us get our jerseys as soon as possible. Mistakes rectified (they even gave us more expensive jerseys for the same price), the jerseys were sent out almost immediately. Outfitting my 10 year old for his first one week AYSO camp - figured the staff at Chicago Soccer would help me out. I didn't have a lot of money to spend, and certainly not on a sport that my kid was trying for the first time as a trial run, and I told the staff member this. He immediately showed me a pair of cleats that were $110 - the most expensive kids shoe they carry. I asked for the least expensive they had and he showed me a $45 shoe - so I just looked at them all myself and saw several for $17.50 and $25. I asked for them in his size and he said most of those did not come in his size. I chose a specific pair and asked again, of course they had them in his size but I practically had to beg and he seemed really annoyed - he was so desperate to sell me the expensive shoe. He had no knowledge about the shoes or how they should fit. Then - shin guards. The other staff member had no idea which were the kids and how they were sized. She really tried to get me to buy the more expensive kind without a strap or ankle guard. She didn't even know if they were right/left designated. Finally a customer who was clearly well versed in soccer stepped in and gave me some advice. The staff member also did not know where the kids socks were or how they were sized. All they did was up-sell and had absolutely no knowledge of their merchandise. It was really frustrating. read more
