My anxiety won't allow me to drive to the drive thru here, only if someone else is driving, because it's lit. But I will say the lines moved quickly. The girl who took our order was friendly. We got milkshakes, a ice cream cone, tenders, Mac n cheese, and a chocolate chip cookie. Their ice cream was creamy and delicious to me. So was the cookie. I put it on the dashboard to warm it, and it was crack!! Lol. They enjoyed the milkshakes, but one was super loose. The tenders were good as always. The Polynesian sauce always hits!! Mmm... This place is literally the best fast food establishment there is, I'm really not sure why this location has only three stars because it's better than other locations in the area that I have been to. Although they did try to charge me for a pup cup one time, but to be honest, I really don't think dogs should be eating whipped cream anyway. But the chicken is always great. It's usually not too crowded. They typically have twice as many employees as other places these days so you get your food fast. Also, I'm sure most of us can agree. 4-15-25 I was greeted in the drive thru by not one but two very personable young men, Anthony and Joshua. I've ordered with Anthony before , he was training Joshua and doing an excellent job, showing him how to enter my out of the ordinary order. Then Joshua didn't hesitate to ask him to go back to show him something he didn't get a chance to ask. Very kind interactions between the two. Well, I ordered my favorite, Cobb Salad with grilled chicken nuggets. And instead of salad dressing, I smother it in Chick-fil-A sauce. You gotta try it! I'm now killing off my mac & cheese, and topping it off with a sweet tea. Mmmmm. Thanks, everybody for getting my order perfect, unlike most places. My only problem was when I went searching on how to submit my first review for them. It seems you have to have a receipt, and you have to enter a serial # to get started. This Chick-Fil-A is located in the Parkway Plaza Shopping Center, which is located just south of Lynnhaven Mall. The place is pretty easy to spot along Lynnhaven Parkway. I have been here several times now, and my most recent visit was on December 26, 2021. On my first visit on December 18, 2021, it was pretty busy. I had ordered everything online through their app, so I didn't have to do any payments there. The biggest thing on the first visit was the line was backed up quite a bit. It was backed up into the main road in the shopping center, so it was blocking traffic that wanted to go elsewhere or were leaving the shopping center (for the record, there were two lines). After spending some time in line, I told the order taker I had an order from the app and found it quickly. With a few taps on his end, that was it. After that, the two lanes end up merging as everyone ends up going through the drive through lane. Once you merge, Kimberly was there to print out the receipt and continued on. Once you get to the window, there were a few out there getting the orders. They ask for your name and if they didn't have it ready, they had you go down to the end until it did come out. For this particular order, I had gotten the Grilled Chicken Club with Pepper Jack Cheese, large fries, and an 8 piece grilled nuggets. The grilled nuggets were for the dog. On this most recent visit, I pre-ordered ahead of time again through the app. This time I ordered the Grilled Chicken Club with Pepper Jack Cheese, large fries, and a chocolate chunk cookie. The cookie was free as a birthday reward on the app. The line this time was not as crazy as the first visit, so it was pretty quick this time. The overall experience was mostly the same as the first one. The only difference is after I got home, I realized they gave me the wrong sauce as I had chosen the Sweet and Spicy Siracha sauce, but got a honey mustard one instead. Overall, I can tell you that the food was really good. I have really come to a liking with the Grilled Chicken Club with Pepper Jack Cheese. I like things with a kick to it, and the Sweet and Spicy Siracha sauce fit the bill when it came to having it with the fries (they gave it to me correctly in the first visit). Things happen. It was the day after Christmas after all. That won't stop me from coming back, and it shouldn't sway anyone else to not come here either. One suggestion though is to maybe not use the drive through when it's extremely busy. Other locations bring it out to you in the line without having to go through the single drive through lane. In the end, I have had some great experiences here overall and will be back. You should check this place out too if you're looking for grilled chicken. read more

If it seems like I've been on a Chick Fil A kick this Summer you're right! My goal was to visit and review everyone in the surrounding area. My kids love the place so I did not think it would be overly challenging. Summer is coming to a close and I can say every Virgina Beach store has got a review and Haygood updated. This store located beside the Lynnhaven Mall in the Parkway Plaza has never been a regular. Not because I dislike them, just because they are not in an area I drive by that often with my kids. Access is off the side street, or Lynnhaven Parkway. I checked them out on a weekday morning to utilize a FREE sandwich reward that owner Brian Burnette loaded on my app with a regular location being rebuilt. The lot is a bit confusing when entering and is on the small side. When exiting the car I found some minor debris around 7 AM. Also the lot smelled of sour milk. The drive thru is a single. I entered to no customers, but a few employees were having breakfast before starting their day. The female cashier took my order and processed the payment. The clerk was straight forward, but polite. I utilized the app for my Reward and got a sausage, egg & cheese with hash browns and vanilla iced coffee. Manager Marcie delivered my breakfast and was very friendly. I found the dining room spotless and an employee was cleaning off what seemed to be already clean tables. That's just plain awesome! It was my first time to try this type of sandwich and I was shocked at how yum! The potatoes seemed a bit off, not sure why. The iced coffee was delicious, but a bit more stirring prior to receiving would have been appreciated, I was able to take my time and relax which is rare. Luckily since I hung out I saw George who was the manager of the Lynnhaven- Princess Anne store that's being rebuilt. He recognized me and we chatted for over 10 minutes. The chicfila at Salem crossing in Virginia Beach has gone downhill. Been coming here for ten years and the last 4 times they've forgotten items in our bag. When I politely told the manager we'll be driving to a chicfila further away bc of bad service, we got a shoulder shrug and sorry. Take your money elsewhere. We stopped going altogether when consistently mistakes were made..food forgotten, sauces forgotten, cold soggy fries, chicken way too salty, chicken nuggets were over fried and dried out... so on and so forth. We've been to this Chick-fil-A location a few times and haven't ever had any problems, but our recent catering experience was not a good one. To make a long story short, my husband had to wait 40 minutes after our scheduled pick-up time before he received the food. The staff said they were waiting on the mac and cheese, but we think they just forgot to make it. Once he finally got the food, it was missing the sauces and plates we requested. Thank goodness he checked! And not to worry, when he asked if the nuggets would be cold, they said they had been sitting under a heat lamp. What can I say, i have yet to go into a chick fil a and have a horrible experience. This location here is close to home. The inside is clean and well put together. I'm normally in the drive thru however. With three little ones I am always on the go. You can typically find a chick fil a associate outside aiding in the drive thru. I love this because there's never usually a long wait for fresh food. The staff is always kind upon pulling up. I find this parking lot to be one of the larger ones I've seen. I go to Chickfila all the time but this is my first time going to this location. The line was super super long but the Chickfila staff managed to get it down and serve me very quickly. The gentleman who took my order was so nice and attentive. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwhich with a medium fry and a sweet tea. This Chickfila knows their way to a Southern girls heart. The sweet tea was perfection and my sandwhich was so juicy and had the right amount of heat. The fries, however, were a little bit salty but it wasn't too extreme. I went to Chick-Fil-a on Lynnhaven Parkway to buy a gallon of tea. I was told they needed to make more and I needed to pull up to curbside delivery and they would bring it out to me. After sitting there for 25 mins watching customers come in go, I finally told one of the young men who was bring food out to people that I'd been waiting a long time for an order of tea. He said he'd go check on it. About 5 mins later the manager came out to my car, making apologies for my lost order and carrying my tea. She gave me a customer service card for a free sandwich. She said she asked everyone to see who dropped the ball, but no one claimed it. She said, "I just said, forget it! And made your tea." Being Chick-Fil-A and their typical gracious service, I knew something was odd, when the guy who took my order seemed very distracted and made the comment, "Our computers are acting ghetto!" and there was a lot of festive shouting and laughing in the background . Oh no... everyone loves chic fil a unfortunately, this is the only location where I physically have to check my order from now on before I leave. I usually do curbside pickup from here but the last couple times they have missed multiple items. First order I redeemed my points for a free medium waffle fry, when I came home the medium waffle fry was not in the bag and my points were used. Tonight, I assumed that everything was complete on my order but my wife's wrap was missing. I had to drive all the way back to get my wrap and I didn't get an apology or anything. Despite all the multiple orders I've made here, I've missed sauces multiple times which is not a big deal. Came here to get breakfast, 80% of the time I'll get the sausage egg cheese discount, but today I got the 4 count chicken minis as a meal with OJ.
