I was meant to order a salad (to be healthier of course,) but I misread the combo as veggies + salad, not one or the other. Ended up getting potatoes+ham, mushrooms, and a cheesy cauliflower. This was enough to bring home and have another meal. The BBQ items were still hot, and the marinade was just right. The crispy pork belly was dripping. The sauce was creamy, and the vinegar flavor kills the fattiness taste just fine. That was a big plus. We inhaled half and the chicken and half the pork belly portion pretty quickly. We ordered the surf n turf, thinking it would offer us a nice combo of what they had to offer. We also ordered a sausage on the side. When we asked how the surf n turf was prepared, they did not mention that our entire meal would come stacked in a pile, doused in the most awful garlic butter sauce that tasted like curdled milk with no other flavor. I understand that the prawns are cooked in this sauce, but I didn't realize my entire meal would be covered in it. This completely ruined the fries, steak, salad, and side sausage that we ordered. It's as though they were trying to hide how flavorless and poorly cooked their steaks are by drenching them in spoiled milk. In addition to how revolting our meal tasted, the customer service was even worse. We let the waitress know that we were not expecting our meal to come out as it did and that there was a dairy allergy at the table - she gaslit us into thinking she warned us about the spoiled milk sauce that would drown every other item on the plate. She said that we could scrape off the sauce, but she wouldn't ask them to redo our order. Truly terrible customer service and food. The vibes were not it. Please go literally anywhere else in Bondi for lunch. The McDonald's next door hit - 10/10 recommend going there for a much better and more reasonably priced meal, with nicer people.
