The property is gorgeous and conveniently close to the main visitor center at Lassen Volcano National Park. The staff were friendly and professional. It was quiet and family friendly; there was even a family movie night in the meadow. Everyone has different expectations around cabins, so keep in mind that there is no Internet, not much cell service, no TV, and no microwave in the cabins. You'll want to download maps before you leave home. There aren't a lot of nearby general stores and what they have is limited, so be sure to bring all the food and supplies you'll need. There are plenty of pans and utensils in the cabin, though, as well as a grill and grilling utensils. From what I recall, pets are permitted but you can be charged for any pet hair left on the bed/furniture (bearing in mind that service animals are not considered pets under federal or California law).

The hot spot was in the mercantile not too far from the room, but there was no heater in that restaurant, so you are outside working on the wifi and it was cold. The server mentioned the heaters were out of gas. I still recommend this hotel because it was a lovely hotel, just be warned that there is no internet connection inside the room.

They had great attitudes very friendly and respectable. Very family oriented couple. Alot of people liked them here. We have never had as good managers as them.

They make sure all of the residents feel welcomed and they even go out of their way if needed. They have added a sense of community bringing residents together for events and contests.
