I've been a loyal Chicos customer for almost 25 years. today I was treated so poorly by a "manager" in this store that I can no longer shop there. Harriet was rude, condescending and inefficient. I waited 20 minutes to return a set with a seam that was not closed. the pants were ordered online the same day I purchased the top in person. I had the tags but had worn the item once, noticed the open seam the washed the item to return it. the abuse I received from the clerk -who stated she wouldn't give me a district or store manager's contact info-had me nearly in tears. she refused to return the top and most grudgingLt conceded to return the defective pants. I now have a top and no coordinating bottom. Avoid this store at all costs. read more

Initially entered and a lively young gal was kind, welcoming and helpful. Browsed the shop and found a few items I asked the older woman for assistance and she looked at me like I was not human. Was unprofessional then went to someone elyse who she identified with. I was hurt. I just wanted to understand the clothes. I was here to support local small. Business and felt like .. awful after that happened if I read reviews beforehand I wouldn't have come bc Woodbury village shopping with lots of women's boutiques is a mile away westward. Clothing pretty, sales galore, jewelry plentiful, vacation wear available. Sales person needs to be welcoming to all who are shopping here. Weird!!! read more

Amid some nice dress shops and boutiques, are a few chains like black & white, and banana republic in Woodbury Commons, tucked back off Jericho Tpk. This place has made it's name with colorful casual sportswear. Think odd zig zag prints here and there, rusts, cranberries, etc. And of course plenty of southwest inspired accessories. They have 3 sizes here. 1, 2 and 3. You know your size. And from that you can guess nothing is all too tailored and everything is about casual clothes. Do I buy here? no. Well yes, but for mom. I usually order from Chico's on line and am happy with the clothing I buy. So I ordered a pair of printed jeans that did nothing for me, I could send them back or return them to a store. So I went to the Woodbury store. The first thing the saleslady says to me is "These are OLD!" I replied, "I just got them yesterday, they had never been worn, I have the receipt to prove it." She says "They are from an old catalog" I said "They are on the website now" She said "We don't carry them anymore" I said "So I can't return them?" She says "You can return them but I don't know what I'm going to do with them" Customer service is NOT about making a customer feel bad. I now shop in the Commack store or at the Outlet store in Deer Park. read more

The boutique will not honor your coupons! Buyers be ware. If they decide something is on a special sale, then the coupons that they mailed you at home, will no longer apply. That has never been the case. So, even though you maybe spending more that a 100 dollars to meet the minimum to use your coupon - that may not be sufficient. Go in with your eyes open! read more

I have tried everything in my power to get someone at Chico's to pay attention to my concern, to no avail, so I am now writing negative reviews hoping someone in their corporate dept will correct the issue. I have called customer service several times, spoken to supervisors and managers. I also sent email that were NEVER answered. This situation is so unacceptable for no one cares about customer concerns. I shop on on-line and usually return to the store. I have been a good customer (shopping at least once a month) for years. Most times, when I rarely make a return to the Woodbury store, I leave so upset that I don't know to do. The problem is that the return date stated on the packing slip DOES NOT correspond with the actual return date when returning to the store. Although I brought back a sweater over one week before the date stated on the slip, I was informed that I just made it! I questioned the salesperson by saying but the date on slip is one week from now. I was informed that that refers to mail in returns. When I returned home, I called customer service. I spoke to both a representative and supervisor who were quite sympatric but gave me no satisfaction. In the past, when I questioned the return date I was told to just use two months....which does not work. I was told by a manager to go to an app which will calculate 60 days for me...IS THIS MY JOB AS A CUSTOMER????? I can't seem to have anyone address this issue! I tried sending two email which I have yet to receive any kind of reply! At one point, I loved Chico's customer service but now, because of their failure to deal with my problem, I have decided to stop shopping there even though I received gift cards for Christmas. I am NOT asking them to change their policy only to indicate the correct return date on the packing slip. Any IT department can make this simple change. They seemed to have no problem removing prices from their packing slips because of customer privacy issues. I could return the items via mail, but why would I when they charge you for such returns no matter how much you buy from them and why would I want to deal with packing and bringing the package to the post office????? I suggest that NO ONE purchase from Chico's until they greatly improve their customer service and listen to their customer's concerns. I will shop at Lord and Taylor where any concerns are addressed and in a timely manner. I will continue to NOT shop at Chico's and NEVER recommend them again. SHAME ON CHICO's you just lost a very good customer for you were too incompetent to deal with a customer's concern!!!!! read more

the cougar-worthy animal print merchandise isn't really for me, but upon browsing i did find a neutral shirt on sale that will be nice for the summer. i was fine with the store in general until i got to the register to ring out. did i want to give my email address? no, thank you. why not? i just don't. but why? i don't shop here all that much. how about your mom or sister? really, no thanks. (saleswoman roll of eyes) please just give me your email address for the list. um, NO, thank you. really. pleeeeeeeasee. can we please move on? just as soon as you give me your email address.... I am a Chico's customer for many years. I have bought items in stores in Florida as well as Nassau County, Long Island, NY where I live. I have even ordered on line. I may have returned an item or two immediately on deciding not to keep it. Now I have a shirt that I bought over 1 year ago that I haven't worn because of the indigo dye. I am afraid it will ruin my clothes besides getting all over my hands. I washed it and wore it. It was a disaster so I called Customer Service and the only thing they could tell me is that they don't take returns after 30 days. I explained that I think this is a problem with the dye and I am a long-time customer but they were not interested. So here I am very disappointed in Chicos. I don't feel like shopping there anymore. They don't stand behind their merchandise. I know Macy's, Nordstroms and all the department stores would look at this differently. read more
