He speaks very condescendingly and tries to glaze over issues. if you order a dress, order it WELL in advance because it likely won't be in on time. I ordered three here for my wedding/reception - one for me, 2 for my mother. Two actually did come in within a month of when he said they would. One of my mother's came in the wrong color. The owner tried to convince me it was the right color, but it wasn't - we wanted red, he gave us gold. It took an almost additional 5 months for him to correct the problem with numerous frustrating phone calls and "promises" of deliveries that didn't happen. Long read but MUST READ ALL This is by far the most unprofessional business I've ever encountered. We ended up walking out with two dresses, but we deeply regret our decision. We spent almost $2,000 on dresses that we won't even be able to wear for our event next week. About three months ago, my mom found a dress priced just over $1,000. I later found the same dress online for a lower price, and the store owner agreed to refund us the difference. When I returned to collect the difference, he told me he would give it to me next time. When we returned, my mom tried on her dress and loved it, but it needed some adjustments to fit her height and body type. The owner then suggested I try on a new dress, which I did. He told me it was $950, but when I looked at the tag, it was only $650. I confronted him about the price discrepancy, and he agreed to sell it to me for that price. We purchased the dress May 3rd. It's now May 24th and we still don't have an estimated time of pick up. I just finished purchasing a sweetheart styled dress from here a few days ago. I plan on using it for a black tie affair wedding. The owner and his sales lady both helped me look for numerous dresses that went with the style I was looking for. David (the owner) had picked out a black sweetheart dress with crystals covering most of it... it was absolutely gorgeous, I instantly fell in love. The price of the dress on the tag was valued at $595 but slashed down to $475. I checked the dress online and it was valued at $550 (not including tax and shipping & handling), anyways we managed to talk it down to $350, not bad right! David was very nice with us and very interested in helping us. I am super happy with my experience there and the patience and attention I received from David and his staff. My future mother-in-law(MIL) and I headed to Chic's Place from the recommendation of my friends. We entered into this establishment and met with the owner and discussed how my MIL needed a gown to wear at my wedding in October of this year. After showing the owner some styles my MIL had tried on he quickly responded that they were "ugly". He then asked us to look through his catalog to find different styles we might like. While I was flipping through the catalog, the owner showed my MIL some gowns. I approached him to show him what styles I found interesting, he quickly demanded that I hand him his catalog because that was the only one he would have for " 2 years". I was baffled that a store could only have one catalog and not afford to replace it if anything happened to it. So my MIL and I looked through the racks to find something that didn't look overly beaded or something a 16 year old would wear. The owner sent his assistant (a woman sales associate) over to assist. I told her we were looking for dresses that were either chiffon or organza material. She quickly responded by saying "organza is for children". I felt inclined to inform this uneducated woman that most wedding dress are made out of organza material and that I was deeply offended by her comment since it was out of line. I do not recommend shopping here because the staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. My experience in this store was horrible. I tried on a few dresses and the one that looked the best didn't convince me because it made me look much older. Though the fit was almost perfect, the detailing on the dress was not my style. Because I wasn't 100 % sure, the owner had the nerve to say I was way to complicated and making their job complicated. My reply to him was "if it is meant to be, I'll be back! Have a nice day!" Another important detail was that the dress was 2 Seasons old and he tried to sell it to me as a 2016 model. I memorized the tag number of the dress which was a "Jovani 7085" and did my own research online.
