I have very mixed feelings about Power Dry. We originally hired them for water mitigation after our…read morehome flooded, and that specific team did a great job. Based on that, we hired their restoration department to put our home back together. That was a massive mistake. The restoration process was extremely disorganized. We were promised a project manager to oversee everything, but we had a revolving door of different people. We effectively had to act as our own general contractors, communicating constantly just to ensure the work got done. After the work was finished, the refinished floorboards started lifting. Power Dry dragged their feet for months before coming to look at it, and then completely refused to fix it. They blamed the issue on the 'humidity' in our home--an absurd excuse considering we have lived in this house for 14 years without ever having this issue before. Because they refused to stand behind their work, we withheld our final payment until the floor was fixed. Instead of working with us, they placed a lien on our house. We had to hire an entirely different contractor to fix Power Dry's mistakes. We offered to pay Power Dry the remaining balance minus what we paid another contractor to fix the problem. We ultimately had to hire an attorney to get the situation settled and the lien removed from our property. If you have a flood, their mitigation team is fine. But I would strongly advise against ever using their restoration department.

I hired him to do the project a 7'x22' porch with two steps and the start date for the project was late September (awaiting materials) and the actual start date was mid October. After the initial coat the material was wavy and was not a professional job. I sent him pictures and he agreed it has some issues and he would be out to correct it, stating "it will be perfect when I am done and you will be 100% satisfied". After lots of call and messages (him wanting more money to complete the job) Ryan came back out mid December to sand and recoat the porch ( Still has waves after the 3rd coat and demanding the rest of the payment). I didn't pay him the rest because I wanted to see the final outcome still not satisfactory even to the standards he talked about. I have not heard anything back from him sense to see if I was satisfied with the project and it still needs the top coat done (He did leave 2 half gallons of epoxy here). So before you hire this company to do any work for you I would suggest not paying anything upfront and only pay when the job is complete and you are completely satisfied with the work. Pros: Very good talker. Cons: Does not show up on time After payment other clients are more important Asks for more money when he makes costly mistakes Poor communication after job has started doesn't finish the job!

I promptly informed him of the issue, expecting it to be addressed as part of the original installation. On January 22nd, he responded that he could come out to take a look, but mentioned a $75 service fee for the visit. Given that the problem appears to be directly related to the initial installation, I found this unexpected. I replied, asking him to let me know when he would be in the area so he could stop by and assess the issue. It has now been nearly two months, and I have not received any follow-up or resolution. Meanwhile, the shower faucet continues to leak. I would have appreciated more accountability and communication to resolve the problem in a timely manner.

Initially I was ready to auto-schedule them year in and year old, but it didn't quite land perfectly to do so. These guys have good insurance and workman's comp (their words when asked), and are communicative with texts around scheduling. Prices were transparent and fair. We were on the books for 12:30-2:30 pm on a Friday, but ultimately they ended up coming hours later when we had people over and were doing dinner. It's not the end of the world because I don't need to be out there with them, but we had to move our plans inside. In the past, we had a different company who would set up the ladder and scoop everything into a bucket, but our tech (who was friendly) used a leaf blower on everything. It had just recently been raining so we ended up with quite a bit of river birch branches everywhere, and wet leaves and birch seeds plastered to the house. I think that's gonna happen, to some degree. Where I was a bit peeved was the fact that there were a handful of big branches on a little flat part of our roof. The guy just chucked them into the bushes on our patio, didn't bother with removal. I did hear the tech at one point powerwash, so he knocked some off. I was surprised to see the front, eaves, and back still covered when the job was done. I should've said something, but again, we were entertaining and I didn't want to get into it to be honest. I got out there the next day with a leaf blower and knocked some of it away. However, there was so much accumulated on our eaves that it continues to trickle down with the wind, so I'm in a state of constant cleaning now. The company asked for feedback via text and I told them the tech was friendly, but the cleanup wasn't quite up to par IMO. After some back and forth, they offered (emphatically) to come out and powerwash the house. It was a crazy busy weekend so I declined, but I do appreciate them offering. I think their customer service is legit, and that's not always the case. Again, would love to have a company every spring and fall that I could bank on, and was so close here, but they came up a bit short. If I knew it wasn't going to just rain shit down all over my patio, walkway, and driveway (he did clean that part up well to be fair), I would be game. As it is, I'll probabaly look around again but will consider hiring for the fall.
