Wow!!! This museum is a must-see! It was breathtaking and serene and I would go back just to sit and chill in the garden.! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
9/2/26 This is one of the most beautiful displays of glass blown art that I have ever seen. I was only in town for a little over 2 days and this was a bucket list tourist destination. I bought a combined ticket with the space needle included and it was a great deal. It was a little crowded on my visit but it was remarkably quiet inside as everyone including myself seemed in awe of how intricate and colorful all of the glass sculptures were. It was a special visit that I will never forget.
Beautiful Glass Art and Conveniently Located Next to the Space Needle This is a beautiful museum with a prime location directly adjacent to the Space Needle, making it a very convenient and fast stop to add to your Seattle itinerary. While the glass art is stunning, it is a relatively quick walk through, and I find that I do not spend a lot of time here during my visits (which can be good or bad). Tickets are not cheap, and it is not the most engaging option for younger children. That said, our kids did thoroughly enjoy watching the live glass-blowing demonstration, which was a fantastic highlight -- we ordered a pizza (took about 10 min, which was perfect timing for us to wait for the next demo and grab front row seats) and were able to feed them during the show. Overall, it is a worthwhile, beautiful stop if you are already in the area and looking for a quick dose of local culture, though families with very young children may want to weigh the ticket price against the short visit time or alternative options.
A must see in Seattle at least once. Price point is steep but the art is fantastic and so intricate. You can take your time here and move through the rooms slower, or go very fast. I would say an hour is pretty good amount of time. Each room has different styles of glass art and it's just so cool to see all the colors come together and the mirroring displays. On the day we went, it did not feel overly crowded and we booked tickets the day before and there was still plenty of tickets. What's also cool about Chihuly is their live classes and sessions where they demo how the glass art is being made.
OK, my initial version of this review started with two lines of oohs, aahs and wows. Quite appropriate, in my opinion, as this exhibit is one of the most awe-inspiring pieces of eye candy I can recall seeing. Unfortunately, Yelp's AI thought less of the review and blocked it. Hence my edit. All in all, pretty incredible glasswork. A shame that the indoor and garden museum is so short.
This museum is very well organized. Staff are highly trained and very professional. There are also glass blowing demonstrations, talks and guided tours. Displays are very colorful. The artistic displays and the works themselves are an incredible blend of styles and colors. A lot of these works reminds me of visuals from an active sea floor full of life. You can almost see the still life works as if they are in motion. The fluidity and organization make this a must see event that is definitely worth the cost of admission.
Chihuly Gardens and Glass might be one of the most unique exhibits that I've visited. You're automatically welcomed with insanely unique and gorgeous displays of glass sculptures in different shapes, sizes, and colors. I especially loved the garden exhibit and how they incorporated the glass sculptures into the foliage outside. The icing on the cake was seeing the space needle tower over the exhibit while in the garden. Anyone visiting Seattle should definitely add Chihuly to their tourist list.
The short of it - this place is unreal. Unless you've been to another Chihuly exhibit...you've never seen anything like this. And you get to walk right up to all these different glass exhibits. I'll let the pictures do the talking. Absolutely a must see place in Seattle.

We visited the Chihuly garden and glass museum/exhibition in Seattle. It was amazing! I am a huge art glass lover and collector. I have always loved and appreciated Chihuly's large pieces, but never his or anyone's "modern" art glass. After seeing this place, I really understand the abstraction that is happening and appreciate the glass more fully. I loved this experience! Highly recommend!
I never knew glass and the art of creating glass was so fascinating. I did not know how much I would appreciate this whole experience until I visited Chilhuly Garden and Glass. How beautiful it all was! How much I learned here was quite extraordinary. Chilhuly Garden and Glass is both educational and a wonder to behold. I highly recommend paying the price of admission to learn the mystery and the art of glass blowing. I will return here in the future.

His works have been commissioned in different cities around the world. This museum is a showcase of his talents and unrivaled craftsmanship. The glass sculptures are masterpieces---jaw dropping and eye catching, filled with color, radiance and brilliantly conceptualized. They range from different sizes, from colorful reeds to grandiose installations. They are equally stunning in an inside space as they are outdoors in a garden. Every person visiting Seattle should pay a visit.
If you're already visiting the Space Needle, going to Chihuly Garden and Glass is a complete no-brainer. The two attractions are right next to each other, and honestly, I'd have a hard time choosing which one impressed me more. The exhibits are stunning. Everywhere you look, there are massive, colorful glass sculptures that somehow seem both delicate and impossible at the same time. The Glasshouse, with its enormous suspended sculpture beneath the glass ceiling, is especially breathtaking. What many people may not realize is that Dale Chihuly is also the artist behind the famous glass ceiling in the Bellagio in Las Vegas. If you've ever stood in the Bellagio lobby staring up at those colorful glass flowers, you've already experienced one of his most iconic works. Seeing an entire museum dedicated to his art gives you a whole new appreciation for his creativity and craftsmanship. Even if you don't consider yourself an "art museum person," this place is worth visiting. It's visually spectacular, highly photogenic, and unlike anything else you'll see in Seattle. Don't just do the Space Needle. Do both.

Worth every single bucks spent for the ticket. I am neither even artistic, nor huge fan of art but every single art piece there has gotten me in huge awe!! They're just so impressive, how complicated they were, and they just blew my mind on how BIG the efforts put making them into these final displays especially in those gigantic size. Couldn't even believe how someone could invent those solid ideas! The mix of indoor and outdoor sections came in such unexpected nice surprise, including the live demo coming throughout the day. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND TOTALLY WORTH EACH MINUTE SPENT THERE! read more
So glad to finally be able to come appreciate the exquisite glass art pieces here, after hearing about them from several friends who either live in the area or have visited before. All I can say is that photos do not do them justice. They are by far grander, more intricate, and more impressive in person than any picture can portray. Every room in the gallery had a different theme, displaying the gorgeous pieces to full effect on shiny black platforms that reflected the light from the glass sculptures. Just so beautiful! I also really enjoyed watching the mini films about the making of the glass masterpieces in Chihuly's glass blowing workshop as well as the live demonstration just outside the museum! read more

What a beautiful place to visit. The glass work is breathtaking. How they hang it from the ceiling without it falling is surprising. The glasswork is so detailed and displayed nicely. I like that there is indoor and outdoor. A it's really cool to see the space needle from the garden. read more
What a beautiful and informative collection of works by Dale Chihuly. There are also movies, plaques, a café, a garden, gift shop and a live glass blowing demonstration as well as a hands on table to hold the actual glass blowing tools and glass. There are friendly staff members all over and they seem able to answer any questions. We spent just about 3 hours there but I could see spending even more time. read more
This is a stunning museum and exhibition center, located right next to the Space Needle. Our tickets were part of the CityPass and we reserved our entry time few minutes before walking into the building. The check-in process was super quick. The first few halls were displaying artworks made out of glass. There were so many different sizes and shapes of colorful glass sculptures. It was so stunning, each photo seemed like a perfect shot for my phone's wallpaper. The hallway continues to a glass ceiling hall of the building with some more glass artwork. There was a cafe located in this area. Outside the building was a beautiful garden, with walkway all around. They were also doing a demo of making colorful vases from scratch using glass mold from furnace. On the other side was the entrance to the second building that had a theater playing a short movie about creating these glass art pieces. The exit was next to the theater that led to the gift shop. The gift shop was fascinating here. There were so products and artwork representing the glass sculptures inside the center. There were also many other souvenir items like stickers, magnets, apparels, cups, mugs, hats, books, stationery and so many more. We bought couple of magnets from here. Prices were decent. Staff members were really friendly here, both inside the exhibition and at the gift shop. read more
First time to Seattle and did the touristy things in and around the Space Needle. Enjoyed our time at the Chihuly Garden and Glass. Lots of colorful art pieces to see. Watched a demonstration of how the glass is made which was both educational and entertaining. While the experience was amazing, the exhibition is pretty small. Walking through and watching the demo will take 60-90 minutes at the most. read more

Seattle, oh how you surprised me! Every major city I can think of has a landmark I have seen on a show or a movie. Ok so Grey Sloan memorial may be in my head and not a real place but second to none is the space needle. No way could I have come to Seattle and not go to the Space Needle. I live in Los Angeles, so high rises and observation decks I am not a stranger to. I don't want to discourage anyone from going but most observation decks are almost a dime a dozen once you have done a handful. But no matter what the standout special that is sharing the courtyard of the space needle is this lovely glass garden. I have no idea why no one from Grey Sloan has made their way over there (Yeah, yeah, I know it's really filmed mostly in Los Angeles) When people talk about the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden should be mentioned right along with it. It was such a beautiful and refreshing place to visit. The only thing I could ask would be for maybe 3 more exhibits. The glass blowing demonstration was so cool, well it was hot, and visually cool. So when you buy the tickets to the Space Needle and it asks you if you want the combination ticket for Chihuly Garden, you should absolutely click that option. The ticket as an addon or solo is a bit pricey in my opinion for the size of the exhibit, but so is everything else in the world now. I took some cool pics, but I am going to keep them to myself. I don't want to ruin it for you. Really go check it out, it's worth the visit for sure. read more
A must visit in Seattle- Stunning blown glass exhibit! If you'd like a vibrant artsy experience in Seattle, drop by here to see Dale Chihuly's masterpieces. The museum houses his exquisite and intricate blown glass with a myriad of colors and designs. There is also an outdoor exhibit with several blown glass art entwined in the garden and the space needle towering overhead as a nice backdrop for photos. Glass blowing demos are shown, which is pretty interesting to see the soup to nuts creation of a glass blown bottle or vase. The tickets are a little expensive (~ $40) but worth for those who are passionate about the arts! read more

Well done, ease of entry, extraordinary glass from the master. The mini hot shop blow was fun. The gardens are beautiful with music in the background. The IMAX 30-minute movie from the Boathouse Hot Shop with footage of Dale Chihuly was interesting. Even a nice break to get wood-fired pizza and a coke made for a nice day. Monorail downtown made it easy to get back to lodging. read more
A must see at Seattle. The whole exhibition gave me chills. It's such a beautiful display with all the pieces. The glass against the lights; the glass shines against each other; the shapes of glass going all different ways. Look at each piece as a whole and look at it separately. You see so many aspects of it. The colors are so vibrant and lively. In the garden, they have live glass-making sessions throughout the day. Very cool to see how it's done. Highly recommend as a tourist spot. read more

Have been here two times. Definite must see if you're in Seattle. As you go room to room and out to the gardens you are just in awe of the beauty of the glass sculptures. Be sure to take the time to go to the auditorium to see the movie of Dale Chihuly creating the pieces. read more

My very favorite tourist attraction in Seattle. Stunning works of art that are displayed so that you can spend time enjoying them from every angle. The view of the space needle from the glass house is the crown jewel of the exhibits but the delicate glass gardens and seascapes are truly something to behold. read more

We went here during our family trip to Seattle. This is our 2nd time visiting. Very beautiful works of art. The garden was beautiful too. I looked online to see how much these works of art were---in the thousands! Wish I could afford a chandelier. read more
I almost would have visited the Museum of Pop Culture instead of Chihuly Garden and Glass if I hadn't seen a combo deal on tickets. A general admission ticket to the Space Needle costs almost $50, but for $20 more, you could also visit the Chihuly Garden and Glass just next door. While the Museum of Pop Culture looked like it was worth visiting, the photos from Chihuly looked more appealing, especially for someone who can appreciate good art. When you enter the museum, you're met by a employee, Mason on my visit, who will check your ticket and let you in. However, you also have to scan your ticket at a gate before entering the exhibition, and that kind of confused me a bit because I thought Mason would have been the gatekeeper here? I guess maybe he was the first line of defense against visitors trying to sneak inside without a ticket. After scanning your ticket at the gate, you're free to roam the exhibition, which contains the following exhibits: Winter Brilliance Chihuly's Inspirations Sealife Room Persian Ceiling Mille Fiori Ikebana and Float Boats Chandeliers Macchia Forest Glasshouse Garden There are also some drawing walls scattered about the exhibition, though the main attraction is, of course, the abundance of glass sculptures inside and outside the museum! Before you visit, please know that food, drinks, luggage, and large baggage aren't allowed in the exhibition. And most importantly, don't touch the artwork! But do take as many photos as you can, as long as the camera isn't on a tripod :) There is a Curiosity Station between Macchia Forest and Glasshouse, and there's usually a staff member overseeing the objects there that patrons are allowed to touch. Jaylee (sp?) was the one working at the Curiosity Station, and thanks to her, I was able to catch the tail end of a demonstration of glass blowing where two artists were showing how to make a glass sculpture. It just so happened to be the last demonstration of the day, so I appreciate her mentioning it before it ended. I thought it was pretty cool to see the process in person, and it was interesting enough to make me want to try one day! Unfortunately, the demonstrators accidentally broke the glass sculpture at the end of the show, but it made for some good laughs LOL. Besides the Curiosity Station, there aren't really any other interactive displays that could help me understand glass blowing. Watching a video as well as an in-person demonstration was cool, but for someone who would loathe working with glass for fear of breaking it easily, I couldn't really grasp the concept of glass blowing at all besides using a furnace/oven to help shape the glass. Also, the art displays didn't really come with any description, so I had no inkling whatsoever about any of the background info. Like what year the artwork was constructed, who was the artist (if it wasn't Chihuly), and a description of what the art is supposed to depict. That kind of info would be helpful so I'm not muttering to myself, "Okay cool, cool, cool" after looking through each piece of art. If you have all the interest plus the time in the world, there is a QR Code for the Digital Exhibition Guide, which I'm sure would provide a plethora of background information about each sculpture as well as the artist, Dale Chihuly, himself. Unfortunately, I didn't, so as much as I like to caption my photos to inform others what they are seeing, the best caption I could come up with for most of these exhibition photos was "Glass artwork in the ______ exhibit" The gift shop, called The Bookstore, unfortunately paled in comparison to that of the Space Needle. The Space Needle had a myriad of memorabilia that would be worth taking back home if you live out of state. However, the Chihuly gift shop items didn't seem as appealing. I got three gifts at the Space Needle gift shop, but only one from Chihuly, a tumbler with a rather cool color scheme. Also, some of these gifts are just too absurdly priced that I'm sure they're more for display only rather than for sale. Like who would spend $600+ for a vintage AM/FM radio when you could get one on Amazon for ~$20 (per a Yelp friend)?? Granted, there might be some history behind the radio that most others may not be aware of, but I'd much rather spend $600 on a myriad of other gifts instead. Upon entry into the museum, you actually see The Bookstore first, so you don't need to purchase a ticket in order to purchase a gift here. However, if you do change your mind and want to go see the exhibition, there are ticket kiosks just outside the entrance. Overall, it's definitely a must visit, especially if you visit the next door Space Needle as well! I can understand why most of my Yelp friends gave it 5 stars, but I felt there were enough drawbacks for me to drop one star in my rating. I wouldn't recommend visiting the museum on its own, but I certainly would if you also plan to visit the Space Needle. read more

Ever since I saw Chihuly's Fiori di Como in Las Vegas years ago at the Bellagio, I fell in love!!! The most bright, beautiful, massive blown glass floral installation I've ever seen, I was in complete awe! I could honestly stare at it all day long. One of my favorite artists. This museum showcases many different styles of blown glass. So delicate, so colorful, beautiful and massive. Each piece is so detailed, unique and individualized. Light brings the beauty of each piece to life! Located in the Seattle Center, the arts and entertainment hub built for the World's Fair. You can also visit the Space needle and International fountain. Visiting the museum was sheer delight! They are open daily and regular ticket pieces start at $35 for adults and children starting at $30. Admission to the museum and Space needle are $69 adults for the combo package - we opted for the combo deal. I completely recommend anyone visiting the Seattle area, make the trip! Simply the best! The exhibit here displays numerous artwork made entirely by glass. The artist is Dale Chihuly, and this is where the name was adopted for what is now known as " Chihuly Garden and Glass" exhibit. His work also includes drawings, personal collections and architectural installations. It is such an honor to walk through each exhibit in person and experience the iconic glass creations by Chihuly. Vibrant colors, beautiful glass manipulated into all sorts of forms, shapes, etc. My favorite included: Persian Ceiling, Glasshouse, Ikebana and float boats, Chandeliers, The Garden and Mille Fiori. Pro tip: Take your time as you stroll each exhibit so you can absorb all the beautiful colors and glass art. The garden outside also has beautiful displays as well and vibrant flowers. I got the citipass which also included a visit to the Chihuly Garden and Glass. Worth it and it is next to the space needle so you can plan accordingly. Right outside the glasshouse, there was a small RV where they were showing people how the glass is created and blown into shape. Super cool. Lastly, visit their cool "the bar" the ceiling has all sorts of accordions hanging up top and it was super cool to look at as you walked by. read more

Cool museum that features some very cool artwork. The area this museum is at is pretty close to other attractions, so it's very easy to visit. We spent about an hour here. I could see spending longer, but overall it is a very interesting, but short experience. Would still recommend checking this out though. It's right by the space needle, and it really is beautiful. read more
Loved this excursion! Great place to spend some time especially on an overcast day. Watching the artists in the hot shop was mesmerizing. They did everything with such ease. True talent. There is an area that explains the history of glass and a beautiful museum with such pieces as Lalique. Well worth the price of admission if you like art and glass. read more
Chihuly Garden is a must see attraction in Seattle! This unique and timeless glass garden is definitely a sight to see. It is located right next to the Space Needle where there are options for garage or street parking. I would say to allot at least 1-2 hours to see everything. yes there is. There's a sitdown restaurant that offers food. They also have drinks. There's an outdoor area that serves pizza sometimes as well.

There is no museum at the restaurant
When booking ticket, they ask for a time frame. Is it really only 15mins? I can't stay for an hour?
That's just the entry window, once you are in you can stay as long as you want. When I was there they had glass blowing demos and folks stayed to wait for the showings.
Can you buy tickets day of/walk up?
Yes, sir/ma'am, we did exactly that just a few weeks ago. If you pair your visit with a ride up to the Space Needle™ then you can save $10!
How much does it cost to get married here?
Don't think they allow marriages there, unless you are willing to get married in the middle of the night. If they allow it, you have to pay for security staff. Please call them and ask. Their customer service is outstanding!

When is the best time of day to visit this attraction?
I highly suggest going in the later afternoon as it turns into evening. There are several exhibits that you will want to see in the light of day in the garden but they illuminate come dusk!

No there isn't. It is just an art exhibition mainly.

You can get in and out around an hour and a half, maybe 2 if you stay for the free outdoor shows (recommended)!

Yes they have shows a few times a day showing you how the glass is made and how's it colored . It's really interesting and takes about 20 min
