Instructors also varied in ethnicity and diversity. All I saw here was a beautiful melting pot of NYC and was impressed with the Saturday morning curriculum to help the motor skills of these children. Bravo!

My son was in Kindergarten in this school for the 2019-2020 school year. I wish I had saved the…read moretuition money and just placed it his college savings instead. When we drive by the school, he still tells me how much he hated it there. He had a teacher who had been teacher 30+ years. She was mean and would compare all of her students to her favorite student and boast about his reading abilities. She asked my son and his classmates, "are you deaf?" When they didn't abide by her strict rules. I talked to the Principal about this and he said, "oh! Come in! We all say stuff like that." Ableism isn't okay and it's cruel to say this to children. As soon as we swapped my son to a public school in a good district they realized he needed glasses. A veteran teacher should've picked up on this instead of attacking what he "couldn't" do. Jokes on her; my son scored 10% of his district and has been recommended to the Gifted and Talented program. He has had wonderful, welcoming teachers in his new school. Don't waste your money on this outdated school (both in physical environment and emotional intelligence). In this case, "private school" does not equal "better." Shoutout, however, to the office staff- who always did their best to make me feel comfortable and who were kind to my son.

My experience with my son at success academy- 1 st grade 2nd grade…read more All Success Academy posting reviews on google are turned OFF Definitely stay away from Sucess academy! They paint a beautiful picture. But behind closed doors our kids are SUFFERING. There is so much more I didn't mention in this post! My son's dad one day for lunch forgot to pack his spoon. So my son during lunch had his hand up to see if he can get up to get one (yes they have them controlled like boot camp during lunch) everyone ignored his raised hand. So my son that day did not eat lunch ‼‼ The scholars complain about SA pointing out every mistake they make. The pressure they have with classwork including being timed on EVERYTHING. Not able to use the restroom causing the students to wet their pants ! From the fear they have towards the staff or NOT allowing the students to go on time. Including MY child back in 1 st grade. It took ME 3 days to get the smell of urine off his FEET! From 11 am when the accident happen all the way till dismissal time he was left with shoes and sock FULL of URINE The parents NOT being notified when the students wet their pants. Causing the students to be left with their shoes full of urine. The students Not able to drink water when they ask to. Several times during dismissal my son begs for me to take him to the rest room before we head out the the building. The students including my scholar fears some teachers due to their tone of voice. The boot camp system the school carries. Students complaining how their legs hurt or fall asleep during rug time. Having to sit crisscross hands on lap during all lessons! The communication with the school is very poor! Especially the experience I had with my sons IEP - speech services. The speech providers leave and the school does NOT notify the parents. My son this year from December - March did not receive speech services and the school never notified me that the speech provider had left. MY SON notified me! For the past two years I've had to fit in my schedule to take my son to a individual speech therapist after a long day of school. To summarize it all my son calls the school a JAIL. The kids are not supported emotionally!
