The concern that my son needed surgery was a very real possibility, but was avoided. Within a year and a half the same son had a S-curve break in his wrist and a broken bone in the other hand from two unrelated accidents. I knew who to go to! I brought both of my daughters to Children's Bone & Spine for checkups, and we had a great experience from start to finish. My teenager was seen for pain in her hand, and my youngest for walking on her tiptoes. We saw two different doctors, and both were wonderful--professional, knowledgeable, and patient. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit, and the office was clean, kid-friendly, and not well-organized the day we came in for our initial visit. As their system was down and referrals were hand written. However, I really appreciated how both doctors took the time to explain everything clearly, answer all of our questions, and help us understand the next steps. It's not easy finding pediatric specialists who truly listen and care, but we felt very comfortable here. Highly recommend this place for anyone needing pediatric orthopedic care! read more

Worst experience ever. Dr kitchen was rude , thinks kids need to be on pills for mental heath, talks unprofessionally to patients and blames them for him not being home in 4 days with his family. I didn't pick your profession. He says How rough it is being the only kids spine surgeon in vegas. Talks Down to women and says we are full of excuses when we don't want pills to fix injury we want help to find the problem and a solution. Mental health therapy will not fix a back injury Doc! Pills won't fix an injury, finding the problem and a solution will. We will never be back to this Dr again. The other doctors and offices are great. The assistant helping with my daughter's cast did not read the room! Her and I were in no mood to talk about the carpool line out the window, or the jokes that were made. He told my very upset daughter she needed to calm down before she said anything she regretted. It was not a good experience for either of us! read more

4/5/22- My son had his year check up from his surgery to straighten the curvature of his spine due to scoliosis. Once again we had a great visit with Dr. Karen Myung. We were amazed at how straight his back has gotten since his surgery last April, nothing short of amazing and I'm so happy we were able to have Dr. Myung as my son's surgeon, love her, she's just really a great person and I can't say enough about her. The picture is the actual X-ray of my sons spine before (back in January of 2021) and after (4/5/22). My son has been thrilled with the results as he has gained a few inches, in height due to the successful surgery and no longer has a deformity that made him a bit insecure. Unfortunately she will soon be leaving this practice, but she will be at Dignity Health and will still be available to her previous and current patients. We wish her all the best! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Children's Bone and Spine Surgery and Dr. Jason Nielson. My 14-year-old son broke his tibia on Labor Day and we were quickly fit into the schedule to see Dr. Nielson as soon as possible. Dr. Nielson was caring and kind and very thorough in explaining everything to us- the injury, the treatment plan, and what to expect afterward. He took the time to comfort my son and me and asked several times if we had questions- no rushing or making you feel like a number. That genuine care and amazing bedside manner continued post-surgery and the follow-up appointments. I never once worried about my son in Dr. Nielson's care. The nurses and front desk staff all extend the same care. I would not hesitate to recommend Children's Bone and Spine Surgery and Dr. Nielson to anyone and everyone who needs their services- you will not find better. 5 stars read more

My 8 year old had a playground accident which she ended up breaking her right wrist. This was my first experience with one of my kids. I was kinda a nervous wreck. We ended up at the ER which they referred me to this place. The place is clean and well kept. The quality of care was excellent. They explained everything to me as much as possible from getting the cast put on to removal of it when it healed it was approximately 4 weeks but they asked to reschedule but our schedules were conflicting so she went 5 weeks with it on. Dr. NEILSON and Karisa (PT) are absolutely amazing. They have been working with my son for over 7 months and helped him recover from an ACL, MCL, knee cap and hamstring surgeries. Karisa takes the time to really make sure her patients are well taken care of. My son injured his foot and we were left with having to wait weeks for the urgent care to call us with a referral form in order to see an orthopedic doctor, all while he didn't have crutches or any aides to help him and not allowed to put wait on his foot. I called around trying to find a same day appointment and scheduling was so helpful and quick to get it arranged for me asap even went above and beyond to pre-auth my insurance to make sure they could see me without the specific referral I was waiting on. When we arrived my son was literally having to hop on one foot because the urgent care could only put him in a split and no nearby medical supply companies had something small enough for him (hes 8). Then being 7 months pregnant I couldn't carry him to and from places. A doctor came in the entrance behind us and carried my son into reception! So amazing. Then when we were seen the doctor was quick to review everything, easy to talk to and shared information that was easy to process for me and my son without a bunch of fluff all the information provided was relevant and helpful. Really appreciated it! Every staff member was exceptional and so willing to help. I appreciated you guys taking me in same day and going above and beyond to help me and my son. This place was referred by the urgent care I took my son to after he slipped and landed on his shoulder resulting in a fractured clavicle. Setting up appointment was very fast and easy. Front office staff were really nice. The specialist that helped us was attentive and helpful. They provided my son with a clavicle splint and it made all the difference. read more

My son broke his arm during a football game and they were able to see him right away. Got him casted and healed up quickly! Everyone we came in contact with was extremely helpful, informative and polite. The few appointments that we had, waiting rooms were full to the brim each time. They have lots of over flow chairs in the hallway and small lobby. We always had a bit of a wait past our appointment time, but it's clear to see it's because they're busy helping other kiddos get fixed up! read more

Who knew a tiny cheerleader could break her fingers so often?!?! Our pediatrician referred us to Dr Hoer and he was great. Spoke directly to my 11yr old daughter, which I always appreciate. Informative while being kind and human. He made bad news sound positive. The entire staff there was super friendly and efficient. My son broke his arm right at the beginning of summer break. We couldn't have been referred to a better place. Everyone here is SO friendly. My son's doctors were Jeff & Bri, he loved them & talked about them a lot. They explained everything they were doing/going to do & told why they needed to do them. They gave very thorough instructions on how to care for him with his cast & again after it was removed. Also, their office is gorgeous. Each room has a theme (baseball, bugs, vehicles, etc.), & they're done so well. I wanted to take some of their art home! Lol. I hope we never have to go back here, lol. But I'm thankful to know that my kids are in good hands should we happen to have another broken bone. read more

Beautiful office. Staff is generally friendly. My complaint is the wait. Last appointment was set for 3:30 at 4:45, I saw staff leaving. When I asked if we were going to be seen I was told that the Dr. would be right in. She was and apologized for the wait, which I do appreciate. Long wait times were normal for the four visits we had. My other complaint was the amount of money I paid for a sling. Partly my fault- should have done research but I didn't and trusted that my son needed the sling. Amazon sells a similar product for about $50 and I was charged $200. On the plus side, I was able to get an appointment within a day of my son getting injured. read more

This review is for their appointment policies and the staff who conducts them. I had an appointment for my child for scoliosis. They don't have any hours outside of normal work hours. No am a legal professional and had to reschedule twice on the day of. I called as soon as I knew I couldn't get out of work in Summerlin, over to Henderson to get the kid and then to the office. The first time the staff was rude. The second time the staff told me they would talk to the Dr. about rescheduling and never called me back. Then, they had the nerve to tell my primary that I no called no showed and that they wouldn't ever see us. They happen to be the only place that takes my insurance so now there is no specialist I can go to. read more

Unfortunately the athletic director for my son was extremely picky and wanted her sports release form filled out instead of the Dr's. Form. I went back Cheyenne location and unfortunately the Dr wasn't there he was at the Henderson location. Completely my fault should've called ahead instead of showing up. Drove to the Henderson location and was greated by a sweet receptionist who was extremely helpful. I informed her I needed Dr. Kitchen to fill out the form the director wanted. She said, "no problem, I'll have him fill it out if you'd like to have a seat" other offices would've made excuses or said it'll be a day or two. I will happily wait whatever time needed to have that release filled out. Dr. Kitchen is amazing his staff is amazing the office is great! The treatment and care is great!!! We saw them to put my daughters cast on today. The doctor was great but what really made the whole day great was the medical assistant William Cooper. He did such a great job making my 4 year old comfortable and happy with her pretty pink and purple cast. He understand how freaked out I was but how crazy and bouncy she was lol. I've had to come to Dr Stewart two separate instances. The 1st was when my then 7 year old broke her shoulder. He did have to push it into place which made her scream/cry but 2 mins later she was fine and normal and happy. She also healed from that not only perfectly but also ahead of normal schedule. Currently the same kid has broken both bones in her lower leg. Bill was the one who wrapped her leg & not only did he do it with an expert's precision but also was able to distract her through the pain but also kept me distracted from seeing my girl in pain. The girl who helped him holding her leg was also just as great although her name slips my memory. I don't trust many doctors but I really trust Dr Stewart and his team for their extensive knowledge & experience as well as for their ability to make a mom & daughter forget the pain in the moment. If your looking for the best, this is it. If your looking for the cheapest, the best is never the cheapest. My son 7, broke his leg at the trampoline park (good for the bone doc business) Dr Neilson did an excellent job of answering all my questions, and his staff was excellent. Brandy kept my son calm by asking him basic food questions, while Jerry put the cast in place. Dr Neilson come back in to set the bone while the cast dried. The bone was perfectly realigned, yes it hurt, but doing it right, one time is the most important part of this process. They have a first class x-ray machine onsite so no need togo else where for x-rays. I highly recommend this office, best in Nevada read more

He is experienced and knowledgeable I was sent to him by my pediatrician for torticollis and Dr Camp took one look at my 8 month old and said his neck is perfectly fine which I didn't believe .... it took time to figure it out but he was right my son has head tilt due to vision not skeletal or muscular issue. read more

Dr. Stewart did surgery on my son went back cause he was still in pain. He said "There is nothing more I can do." But he is the one who told us what was needed. But gave up on my son. We than went to Dr. Camp and we missed 1 appointment with him because the front desk booked without me knowing and of course they blamed it on me. But I have a witness who is my son's nurse that clearly heard me tell the scheduler I will call to book after I see the bone specialist.. Now I go through Shriner's to see an Orthopedic and travel to LA cause these money hungry Doctors can't fix or finished what they started.. As good as they are too bad they have no compassion for what they do for my special needs child. read more
