The Dental Hygienist was very gentle, explaining every tool she was using and even let my daughter touch them before placing them in her mouth. We are only here for the summer since we are expats and going back to another country and overall from making an appt to be seen up to being treated would have been a total of 3 months?? What if my daughter's cavities were hurting? We were also quoted a total of 1200 dollars for the fillings. After having no choice but to reschedule at a different dentist, we were seen in less than a week for a new patient visit and able to make an appointment for fillings for the following week. They also quoted us under 400 dollars for the treatment plan. It's a shame that the staff is so nice here but I would not recommend going here.

The first 2 times she saw Dr. Blackburn were amazing experiences. Although, my daughter was younger then so she did scream which was to be expected- Dr. Blackburn and the staff did everything they could to gain her trust and make her comfortable! Her most recent appointment she even hopped into the big girl chair WILLINGLY and let them do a full cleaning for the very first time. They also give your child a machine token for a prize, a balloon, and goody bag after their appointment. Not to mention, their office is SO kid friendly! Amazing game room, toys everywhere (they practice positive reinforcement), and tv's both in front of the dental chairs as well as on the ceiling. Our insurance isn't accepted here, but we love this dentist so much that we happily pay out of pocket!

Glad we stuck with that decision. The techs are also very sweet. Always have great convo with them while they are attending to my daughter. That's something I value deeply--I want my kids to grow up without fear of the dentist. From the start, we noticed how much Dr. Tab stood out. We originally met him when he was a partner in the practice, and my kids instantly felt at ease with his kind demeanor and patient approach. He takes the time to explain procedures thoroughly, ensuring both parents and children understand every step. His ability to connect with kids, combined with his expertise, made it an easy choice for us to stay--even when our insurance became out of network. There are countless dental practices out there, but few provide the level of care, attention, and trust that we've experienced here. As soon as I arrived, a staff member (I don't remember his name) handed me paperwork for a tooth extraction. I was surprised because my appointment was for an emergency visit, not an extraction. When I explained that my appointment was for an emergency, he insisted that it was for an extraction and didn't seem interested in listening or discussing the situation. I felt dismissed and that my concerns didn't matter. My impression is that this office cares more about doing business than providing quality patient care. Because of this experience, I would never recommend Serenity Dental to anyone, not even my own family. I would encourage others to choose a dental office with better customer service, better communication, and a higher standard of care. I hope the Magnolia location takes steps to improve its service, starting with better staff training and treating patients with more respect and understanding.
