Great pediatric doctors, PA's and NP's. Easy to work with and very knowledgeable. Easy to make an appointment whether sick or healthy.

We've had nothing but problems with this location. The billing staff is impossible to deal with. We use CHAMPVA because I am a veteran, and every other provider we've seen accepts it as secondary insurance--yet this office acted like they had never even heard of it. When my wife mentioned that we would likely stop coming here, the billing person coldly replied, "That's okay, we have 1,200 other patients." Who says that to a family trying to get care for their child? On top of that, last year we brought our daughter in for a cough and had our 4-year-old with us. The doctor only examined our sick child but still billed us for both children--even though absolutely nothing was done for our 4-year-old. Completely unacceptable. Between the unprofessional attitude and shady billing practices, I strongly recommend staying away from this place. Families deserve better care and respect. read more

Absolutely terrible caused my daughter to have a feeding aversion since they wouldn't listen to a word I had to say just dismissed all my concerns . I mentioned to them multiple times what I thought it was and they refused to listen and just dismissed me. The second I changed pediatricians she got the help she needed instantly. It ended up being exactly what I thought it was that they refused to listen to . I never would recommend this place to anyone absolutely terrible! Terrible Pediatrician. Do not bring your child here. Especially if they have any special needs. The doctor doesn't know how to handle any medical complexities. The office staff are rude. Prescriptions do not get refilled despite multiple calls to office. Medical forms are lost or not filled out timely. They are no help in an emergency during office hours. She cannot hold onto staff. There have been several other pediatricians who have worked here and left because of Dr. DeNicola's toxic office. Just go somewhere else.... read more

We have recently changed pediatricians and after positive reviews tried this practice. We've had several interactions with front office staff who were abrupt and rude (including being hung up on 2x). When sitting and waiting for doctor(s) have overheard front staff discussing patients and Making judgments about patients calling in - very unprofessional and a complete violation of patients privacy. Had one positive nurse experience and one negative one. Negative one was overly assertive and showed very little compassion towards my little who is terrified of docs. Docs were better at bedside manner but abrupt in time spent during appointments and did not respond to all our questions. Felt dismissed several times both in person and by phone. Will definitely not be returning. read more

Dr Nancy DeNicola, and all the staff at The Children's Health Center are an amazing team of professionals. Dr DeNicola has cared for my three children for many years, and her office always accommodates us quickly for appointments; especially if my children are sick. I always get an appointment same day within a few short hours of calling!! The office is a modern and clean facility with a large waiting room that is a friendly environment if your children are younger; including a large tropical fish tank, and a real train that moves above you around the ceiling!! The doctors in the back are very nice and professional, however the 3 bosses at the front desk that you need to face before making it back there are NOT worth it. Try and call this place for an appointment and you will see how impossible it is. I called to get an appointment for my son and was on hold for 16 minutes after calling multiple times. When I finally get an appointment I'm told to call when I am outside. I am sitting in my car with the phone ringing for minutes on end with the 3 women at the front desk just sitting there. I chose to walk in with the phone on speaker and told them I've been on hold forever (as I hear the phone ringing in front of me) she ignores what I said and asks "do you have an appointment". Shortly after I am sitting in the waiting room and someone else comes in with the same issue, saying no one answered the phone while I watched them sit there and let the phone ring. I chose to give this place another try since the doctors were very loving and called for an appointment for my newborn and OF COURSE no answer. I called another clinic in the area and they picked up on the first ring and were very accommodating. read more

I am a working mom and to find an appointment anywhere after I get home is nearly impossible. CHC has late hours that accommodate my schedule. So I am able to bring my son in whenever he is sick and not worry about not being able to make it. This office saves working moms like me with children! read more

I would NOT recommend this practice. As a first time Mom, of a preemie baby, I did not feel that any well visit or sick visit was ever thorough. Dr. DeNicola does not take the time to listen to your concerns or really examine your child. We did like the few appointments we had with Dr. Burstiner, he seems more thorough and actually asks questions and walks you through what you should be looking out for in infants as they develop. He's not in the office very often, however. Every time we waited over 30 minutes to be seen and then the appointments were rushed, I always left feeling like my questions went unanswered and my concerns were not addressed. Several times they misdiagnosed what was wrong or weren't thorough enough to catch the signs (diaper rash that was actually a yeast infection, torticollis, MTHFR mutation, sinus infection that was actually croup, etc.). Every time i've needed a sick appointment, they were never able to see us within a reasonable time from when I called. They also don't separate the sick children from the healthy, so you're sometimes waiting over 30 minutes with sick children around your healthy child. The front office staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. They sit back there like a sorority and act like you are disrupting their time if you need to chat with them. The final was straw that made me leave the practice after 8 months was an emergency where they left me on hold for over 10 minutes, after hanging up and heading to the emergency room, I never received a call back or even a check in to see if my baby was ok. They then tried to deny me my rights of retaining my childs medical records, stating they needed approval by Dr. DeNicola and they wanted to know where I was going before releasing them. Well this Physician Assistant called Cps 2 days after my Physician Assistant visit which if I knew she was not a M.D I would have thought differently about seeing her that day because I took my very sick son there for a visit after being told that he looked too sick to go into his daycare. I went to my sons primary Dr expecting to see a Dr by the way. This Phyician Assistant treated me and my son absolutely horrible. Well I asked for a note for myself after my sons visit the one I was given that day dod not have specific dates to excuse me properly, well because I called to get a note with specific dates 2 days later to have me out of my volunteer program which is government mandated to get my child support money, I only get a certain amount a month and they would cut my benefits in half. I calledthe Dr. Office after to speaking to my social worker that handles my government situation at this time for missing my program because my son had been so sick with a double earache, wheezing really bad, runny nose, bad cough, sneezing, vomiting and diarhea not including his eczema which looked bad. I asked if they can just excuse me for a few days I bought him in on Wednsday to return on the Monday because the note they had given me was not specific enough for my program. Well the front desk receptionist at the Dr. Office said she would have to speak to the Dr. Regarding this. Well she called back and said no only the date I had bought the baby in. I am a single mom I had no one to watch my sick son so I just said ok and just hung up upset that this P.A was so nasty she knew he was so sick. Well after that phone call child protective services was called because I had my son in a pick up truck which I never drive, it was just the circumstances I never have to ever take my fathers truck with my son since he had been born and he is going to be 23 months my car was getting fixed at the time and I didnt have my sister or mom to help me that day so my father let me use his truck while he was at work. Well she said to cps that I was under the influence and I had my son facing forward if they knew better the seat belt couldnt reach around his carseat backward. Well this Dr. Office had done alot of stuff that i didnt like. I can make lists on and on about the unfriendliness of the staff everyone except Dr. bersinger and nazarian whom are no longer there btw. I should have left a long time ago I was just asking for recommendations about Pediatricians that were good in my area on my facebook page to change drs too and the baby gets sick again before doing so. Well just to let you all know make sure you look like you have money and they dont judge you due to cars, medical insurance the way you dress and make sure you look great cause they will accuse you of being under the influence 2 days later. I just want everyone to know I was sober and wish she would have called the cops on me immediatly. None of them do their work right Ive worked in a medical office for 10 years and never neglected any patient nor have we called child protective services on anyone that wasnt supposed to be called on. Oh well im good I know im sober. Just made me feel sad as a mom cause Im so good to my son and she made me feel so embarrassed of how I look to people now im just shocked!!! On top of it all this physician assistant was working with no medical doctor present as well this office is horrendous do not go there. Ive seen alot of stuff working in a emergency office myself and this Dr office is run by people that dont have a clue to work with children nor do they have any toys or lollipops there as well none of the workers are kid friendly. My son is hyper and all the Dr.s were like so rushed there to get in and out as quick as possible and btw I asked the PA if my baby had a Pneumonia she just stormed out of the room because she didnt like that I knew how to answer her inappropraite questions and stupidity and snobbiness thinking she knows what my life is like lady get a clue. This office will be closed down they are that bad in my eyes my babies dentist was better then his Pediatrician and that is sad. Im also so upset that this pa did not call the police if she thought I was under the influence that she would let me take my 1 yr old home like that and also endanger other peoe's lives. This woman is absolutly nuts. It was all over a note 2 days later even the cps lady said the same thing. Pathetic. I would not have even left a one star btw. Just so its known my baby was never there for an injury nor anywhere. Ive never even put my hands on my baby or put him in harms way as far as I knew.
