She seemed to be pretty convinced about the prior diagnosis and was just focused on the computer screen to complete her forms/tasks. We were highly disappointed. Was able to schedule one and had a great experience with the nurses/physician assistants and doctor (Dr.Francis) and was excited to schedule my endoscopy. However I needed to review my work schedule which is often changing to find a day which was suitable and would fit in Dr.Francis' operation schedule. I was assured I could call back and schedule the procedure. Little did I know that I would be at the mercy of the ONE procedure scheduler that the office uses, who is so busy dealing with the phone traffic that they cannot reliably answer the phone. When I asked if there was another way I could schedule the procedure, in person or by some kind of email or patient portal , I was left a very rude message saying that I was sending the scheduler to my voicemail when I was in the middle of various processes at work and had called more than 10 times during the week at different times to try to catch them to schedule the procedure. Not only this but the front desk also had the same track record for answering the phone, as in they never answer. Guess i was lucky to get my initial appointment over the phone in the first place. Will not be returning, heading to another Gastro that actually has adequately and functioning staff. I would not give this office your patronage, they are comfortable knowing they are a much lauded office so they don't take care of patients.

After an office visit, by appointment, they were to contact another doctor to get the OK for my spouse's colonoscopy. They stated they would contact the other doctor and it would only take about 5 days. A week later called back to other doctor and they said they never received anything from Gastro Health. Gastro Health did not follow up. I called back a several months later, finally getting someone to answer my call, and they miraculously received the form from my doctor THAT day while my spouse was on the phone with Gastro Health.. And they still have to submit form to get clearance. Expecting a call back from Gastro health, which never happened. Called back and left messages. The first time the office ever called me back from original appointment in October is in January. 3 MONTHS. It was a MESSAGE to schedule the colonoscopy. Tried to call but NO ANSWER, still don't have an appointment. I had a colonoscopy, 3 years ago and was to have another in 2 years. They told me they would call to set up an appointment. NO CALL. So with the pandemic and all, alongside my own procrastination, I scheduled first colonoscopy about half a decade later than I probably should have. Not so much because of the nature of the procedure itself. I've had much more awkward procedures. (I chose not to review my kidney stone removal.) It was simply my lead feet and resistance in accepting I've reached "that age". That being said, it was all pretty innocuous. The post procedure was easy enough. Drink some (not so terrible tasting) stuff the evening before followed by lots of clear liquids. (I'm purposely skipping some important details here.) Then repeat in the morning. The procedure itself was pretty unmemorable as well, literally and figuratively. The last thing I remember was hoping the anesthesia works and the next thing was someone asking if I wanted a Coke to drink. (Skipping some details of the results . . . . for your benefit, but there was nothing bad, just the usual I guess.) Overall it was a "good \_ 0_/ experience" and I have nothnegative to say about it. I do apologize fore the images I included with the review, although I thought they were hilarious at the time . . . . and the only other photos I have are the ones they gave me of the procedure and I don't think anyone wants to see those.

The lack of care continued with Dr. Cohen, who provided no instructions regarding my blood thinners. She failed to coordinate with my hematologist, and after the procedure, when I had bleeding issues, I still received no guidance on stopping my medication or when to restart my medication. I felt there was a disregard for my physical health. I made it clear before the procedure that I had an Achilles tendon injury that was almost healed. Despite this, I left the procedure with a new complication to that injury, requiring me to wear a boot for at least three weeks. When I expressed my concerns about all of these complications, I felt she completely shrugged them off. I left feeling unheard and disrespected. I would not recommend seeing this physician.

They had almost an entire day to contact my Primary Care office to ask for the referral to be fixed but because of pure laziness they chose to waste my time. What's worse, is after they told me the referral won't be accepted they said "we have a 15 minute grace period..." like I was going to be able to get my Primary Care office on the phone and a new referral sent over in under 15 minutes. This place is an absolute disgrace. I've spent two full…read moremonths trying to get a basic colonoscopy appointment--and I still don't have one. I've gone through two separate primary care doctors just to get the referral--both were approved by my insurance. I've filled out piles of paperwork, completed their long online questionnaires, and submitted every document they asked for. Despite doing everything right, they still won't schedule the appointment. Every time I call to follow up (which I've had to do over and over), they come up with some new excuse to delay or deny my care. First, they said they needed to contact my pulmonologist. What if I didn't even have one? Then they demanded EKG results from the past six months--what if I've never had an EKG? Are they going to deny me care for that too? It's obvious they're inventing hoops for patients to jump through just to cover themselves. I've had major medical procedures in the past that never required this level of documentation or bureaucracy. What they're doing is not just frustrating--it's outright denial of care. I even got my insurance company on a three-way call with them to confirm everything was approved, and the insurance rep told them directly that I was cleared to proceed. They still refused to schedule the appointment. To top it all off, their call center is outsourced to the Philippines, staffed with people who barely speak English, are rude, untrained, and totally incompetent. There is zero follow-up, no accountability, and no one actually trying to help the patient. This is healthcare at its absolute worst. Avoid this office like the plague. If you value your time, your sanity, or your health--go somewhere else.

I replied how far we lived from the Gastro Assoc, and he said well, you can be here a little bit after 9:00 a.m. We started running around trying to be there on time. We walked in at 9:15 a.m., and there were a lot of people, apparently, who had been told to be there early. The receptionist was clearly annoyed. I went back for the procedure and was not seen earlier. I thought a lot of hassle for nothing. I got back there finally, and the nurse anesthetist was annoyed because they did not have the paperwork regarding some heart problems I have had. She was snapping at me. I had never been told to give them notes from my Cardiologist. I did not appreciate that either. I was looking at the number of patients that they have and the staff running around. It seems to me that they are more interested in the number of people they get in rather than taking a true interest in the patient. The staff is cordial, but very busy. Lastly, I am finally back in recovery. I am dressed and waiting to be released. They said the Dr. will be in a few mins. After about 1 hr, He comes in and talks with me for about 3 mins, and tells me to make an appointment with him. It took so long for him to see me; I think he did another surgery.
