My issue is with the front office. I have 6 year old triplets. Anytime, I have had to cancel appointments due to sickness, including Covid. I was apparently breaking an attendance policy, even though I would have my son do teletherapy, when it was possible. All of my absences were excused. Or 24 hour wait notice was given. I feel like there is no flexibility if you have scheduled changes to the set appointment time. We were given notice the afternoon before my son's next appointment that we could no longer come to the center because we broke the attendance policy.

I called and paid immediately but complained that I don't like getting threats of collection when I have heard nothing from them. Melissa's response was that it's "not a threat of collection", it's just her "trying to assist me". Then she said she had left me a voicemail that morning (which she had not) and hung up the phone on me. No business, no experience, nothing, is worth a risk of referral to collections. Melissa's response only focused on herself when I was is the one in jeopardy due to the office's mishandling of the billing. The manager but I would obviously never deal with this place again.

My experience working with them ended abruptly and unprofessionally after moving across the country to take this position. I received a cold termination email with no prior conversation or warning--despite being told they had attempted to speak with me in person, which was absolutely not true. That email also casually informed me that my healthcare coverage would expire at the end of the month. How cruel and unprofessional. The lack of communication, transparency, and basic courtesy throughout the process was deeply disappointing. As someone who cares deeply about the work I do and the clients I serve, this experience made it clear that therapist well-being was not a priority. Companies that serve vulnerable populations should hold themselves to a higher standard--especially in how they treat the professionals doing the work on the ground. With frequent therapist turnover client relationships are surely to be impacted.
