Our experience with Childtime on Floyd has been fantastic! Choosing a child care facility was very stressful. I feel in love with the way this facility focused on child learning based on appropriate development. They have an app and consistently update what fun activities they are working on AND how those activities relate to the development of child. My child will be in Kindergarten this fall and can read and write and I am so proud to say that Childtime on Floyd helped encourage and nourish what we worked on at home and I can see what a difference his teachers have made. This Location of Childtime is truly a blessing. My Daughter has been going here since she was under two. She will be five in December and I couldn't ask for a better program for her. She is constantly learning new social and academic skills. There is no other center that offers the love and quality of care as this location. This center is very inconsistent. Even though they already have a computer login system, parents are still required to manually sign in and out -- and now there are fines if you forget. Their focus seems to be more on revenue than on the well-being of the children. Unfortunately, I can't remove my child right now, but after two years with treehouse #2 (where the kids truly came first), I can say the difference is night and day. I highly recommend this child care, my family has been at this school since August 2020, my oldest daughter entered the preschool room because she was 3 years old and the little one was 1 year 8 months old, so she was in the nursery room. Currently, my older girl attends kindergarten and in her current school they have congratulated her because she entered with great knowledge in letters and mathematics. the days that she is on vacation or they don't have class, it's her school, I take her to Childtime because it's our safe place. my little girl is in pre-kindergarten class and all her teachers have been very understanding and loving to her. We feel very happy and blessed that all the staff treat our daughters and me as part of their family. This facility was a danger to my child. My infant was fed the wrong breastmilk. The director told me she was just glad it was "just" breastmilk because she'd be worried if it was formula because of the allergies. Had to get my infant tested to make sure he wasn't exposed to pathogens. Additionally, I witnessed a staff member forcing 2 older toddlers to sleep on their nap mat by pushing them into the mat by the back of their heads. The director assured me that her staff would never do that. And would only check the video recording "if I was sure that's what I wanted". Sure enough I was correct. I later learned that the incident was not properly reported. I don't even know if the other parents were told. When they were finally investigated. I was told that the staff was cagey and not cooperative or forthcoming. I've written a review on yelp two times and Childtime (I suspect) reported it had it removed within an hour because i recived an email that said the way the review was worded "didn't make it clear that this was my experience". Previously I left out details and quoted the report, just so the information would be out there. I have no doubt they are likely on here trying to report any negative reviews. I am currently looking for daycare for my second baby and this facility came up which brought up bad memories...I would never recommend this daycare center especially if you care about the quality of care your child/children will receive. My daughter attended this facility for less than a year and one day I walked in to pick my daughter up and kids were circled around her throwing a bunch of stuff at my baby and not a single teacher was around watching! I called the manager and had her meet me right then and there and I took my daughter out of that daycare as soon as our meeting was over! I also reported them for them for this. I honestly hope they get shut down one day because from the reviews it doesn't look like much has changed and no one should have to worry about the safety of their children while they are trying to provide a living for their family. read more

My kids are on a drop in basis however the times my son has been there I've heard great feedback about my child's behavior. They are very communicative and informative they have offered to give me phone calls to see how my child is doing throughout the day. I love how they have cameras in every room making it easier to monitor them. I have no complaints read more

This is copied from a letter I wrote to the District Manager regarding my concerns of the staff's ability to properly care for children, uphold licensing regulations and support families. Ultimately, the response I got was as poor as the staff concern for my child: the DM only said that he would "look into it" and "increase unannounced visits to the center". Seems that after 2 Type A licensing violations, they would have already put plans in motion to do that! DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!! Over the course of our enrollment (fewer than 18 months), there were 2 Type A licensing violations that were cited - both of which involved my child. 1. The center was cited because a teacher left me and my husband alone with our son and 3 other children in the classroom. After the citation, the center agreed to get walkie talkies to ensure that teachers could communicate with others around the building and not have to leave the classroom to get their needs met. a. I have never seen the walkie talkies. My husband has observed them - but never saw anyone use them. When administration was questioned about their implementation, we were told "they pick up weird signals' which makes them hard to use. Given that this was the ONLY solution provided to resolve the issue and avoid future citations -I would expect that these be in working order and regularly accessible to children. b. Multiple times after the citation, I was still asked to please alert other staff when the class was out of ratio when I was leaving. 2. The center was also cited after an incident that resulted in my son losing his 2 front teeth. a. We were initially told that "it all happened so quickly, we didn't have time to help him!". We were accepting of this response and agreed that it was a horrible accident that could have happened anywhere. b. When the licensing violation was finally posted, it was reported (on the notice) that teachers did IN FACT see him - and told him to stop climbing, but then continued on with what they were doing. This changed the incident from accident to negligence for us and, ultimately, was the reason we immediately disenrolled our son. c. Toddlers need help. They need reminders. They need attention. Focusing on cleaning up the classroom while my son climbs an unsafe object suggests that priorities are completely out of whack at this center. d. Upon returning to this center and accepting the initial story we were told that the incident was an accident - we provided straps to the Director to strap down any loose furniture and highlighted one piece in particular that seemed to be a risk. IT WOULD TAKE 3 WEEKS FOR THAT PIECE OF FURNITURE TO BE REMOVED. We were provided with various reasons: "The maintenance guy doesn't come until XXX day", "The maintenance guy will come back on XXX day", etc. - If even after a serious safety issue happens I can't trust this center to respond promptly, then what would give me any faith in them that they do the right thing at other times of the day? e. We were told that the tall high chairs couldn't be replaced because "there was not enough money on the purchasing card". At more than $1000/month in fees, I'd like to know how this comment is justified? Moreover, after the loss of 2 infant teeth, I'd like to know how this comment is justified? This company DOES NOT care about children. Avoid paying top dollar ... you do NOT get what you pay for!!!! read more

Do not take your children here. If you are on the edge about leaving your kids at daycare because you feel like you need to work to make a couple extra hundred dollars a month then you should know it's not worth it. ESPECIALLY NOT HERE! My 2 year old daughter was here for a few months until we witnessed too much for us. My daughter had a hard time adjusting because she was shown a lot of extra love from my family and I didn't have the heart to keep leaving her. Me and my family watched many times on the camera our child being treated like she's nothing. I walked in today to one of the Teachers frustrated with my daughter because she was crying. For the amount of money we have to pay for daycare they should be treated better. I also don't like they way they just pick the kids up and stand them up after nap time. That doesn't seem right to me. Not sure if any of the teacher would like that being done to them. I'm taking my daughter out immediately. Stay away from this place. read more

My daughter started coming here sometime in November of 2018 and I loved it! They use an app called Brightwheel where they send you updates like if your child uses the bathroom and if they went 1 or 2, what they had for breakfast or lunch and how much your child ate (some, most, all), and sometimes pictures! They have a locked door that leads into the building that you need a code for to get in which is comforting. They have cameras around the entire building and in the classrooms and the screens are displayed in the front office (the only downside would be that there is "no recordings available" from the cameras so if anything happened they wouldn't have footage). I have noticed "yelling" or raised voices from some of the teachers but like come on now, children don't listen and sometimes a stern voice gets them to do what they need to. The teachers and staff are amazing though, they just changed directors but everyone is on such a personal level and so welcoming. It is expensive (about $1000 a month, $260 a week for full days) but for how much security and relief (through details and updates on the app) they provide I'd say it's worth it. read more

My oldest started attending this school in 2010, after I had visited and researched several other facilities in the area. They were by far the most open, honest and capable staff I met with. After 4 years of great education, communication and a wonderful experience for my child and myself, I was happy to be able to enroll my baby as well and begin again. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! I was honestly very hesitant on starting my son at a daycare because of all of the crazy things Ive seen on the internet about nannys or facilities. But after going in and meeting the staff and seeing how the daycare was ran I felt more at ease. All the staff are very friendly! They are amazing!! They've helped potty train my oldest when he first started there. He loves going to "school" and playing with his friends and his favorite teacher is Stacy. She is so amazing as well! There have been early mornings where my son was being a grouch and she helped put him at ease and calmed him down. The staff take the time to get to know your child(ren). My youngest is in the infant room and they are all amazing with him as well!! Julie, Sheila, and Sonia have been so wonderful as well! Things have come up unexpected financially and they have been so great with working with me and trying to figure out something so my boys could still attend there. My oldest has been there for about almost 3 years and my youngest has been there for 1 year. I honestly cannot believe the first review because everyone there is soooo amazing and I've NEVER had one problem with them!!! I agree with the second review, it sounds more like a personal grudge than anything. I have and will continue to recommend this daycare to any parent out there! As I said before, they are amazing, friendly, and get to know your child(ren) personally. Parents Beware, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These people are truly the devil. Julie, Stacy and Shelia and the rest of the minions whom work there. When I first came there I got a weird vibe from everyone, Stacy was sitting (as she forever do) and looking very mean, She frighten my child and I'm sure as well as your child. Julie is very rude, she shouldn't even be in the front office she has no people skills, and Shelia as the director she be reported. If you can removed your child, DO SO it is not worth it. I removed my child from this kid prison because I walked in on teachers yelling at the kids on different occasion, then when they saw me they changed the tone of their voices. People need to wake up and not be in denial they are harming your kids. My child would always come home scared and frighten to go to this place and I now see why. They would smile in your face and treat your child like cramp when you leave. On top of this, the food that is giving to the kids is not okay and not healthy. When picking up my child one day, I notice them putting out a slice of American cheese and a un-cook tortilla on a coffee platter for a plate, with a half of cup of water. All the money these people receive and they cannot feed your child a proper meal. I wouldn't recommend a lost puppy to this childcare. If your are as caring of a parent as I am, you would beware and take your child to a safer environment. read more
