My son decided to take me to dinner for my birthday so we went to Chilis. We have eaten here quite a few times and it has always been what you would expect. This time we went in and there was a couple ahead of us. The hostess said it would be about 5 minutes as they were clearing a table for us. Another couple came in and started crowding the hostess table and whispering to the wait staff and somehow got seated before us. We left. read more

I've dined here a few times and it's gotten the job done. I like that it's a more modern and updated chilies. Love the modern look they have going on. The staff are pretty nice. My waitress was very sweet and very accommodating! I order chicken crispers and it hit the spot! I just love that honey chipotle sauce. We had a few different meals and everything was perfect. It's not hard to see why Chilis in Effingham has an empty parking lot on Friday afternoon when every other place in town is packed. I walked in at 1:00pm, sat at an empty bar for 5 minutes, then had to search for the bartender, then continue to wait on a beverage and food order, it is now 1:18pm and still no beverage or food order taken. Finally received service at 1:18pm. Received my beverage at 1:19pm, received my food at 1:37pm after another patron who arrived after me received his at 1:25pm. Whomever runs this place should be replaced, they have obviously lost control of their staff or mistreated them in a way that causes them to not care about the patrons that walk in the door. Chef Gordon Ramsey, or Chef Robert Irvine could really help this place! The food was very flavorful, but that and cleanliness are the only positives. read more

We were traveling and decided Chili's had options for our needs, including gf. We were seated and waited about 10 minutes before the server came over to take our drink order. Should have been the first clue. One drink was asked for with no ice. We got ice. One drink was completely wrong. The water was not listening. Coors light is not the same as Corona. And noise was not a factor as they were not busy. Half our food came out, then we waited another 5+minutes for the rest of our party plus my tortillas. My Carne asada was cold and overdone. The steak that was ordered medium was well done. The Ceasar salad with chicken was mostly brown and wilted as well as the chicken being cold. A second alcoholic beverage was ordered and again wrong. Both times the waiter argued, which was not acceptable when our entire party heard the original order. The manager came out and informed us they had been busy all day and we had one of his best waiters. Honestly worst experience we've had at the chain location. read more

This is the Worst experience at a Chili's I've ever had!!! My Long Island was disgusting it looked like and tasted like Mud!!! so then ordered Unsweetened Tea the she gave me a half and half tea. The chicken was dry and dripping in grease. My Ranch sauce was so watery it wouldn't even stick to the chicken. Oh BTW the waitress never Checked back with us. Very DISAPPOINTED!!! read more

It had been a while since we've been here because frankly, the last couple of times we'd been it had been a disappointment. Caillou is the best waitress. She treated me 10x better than any man I have been with in my entire life. Asked me if I needed anything, how I was doing, what I'd like to eat and drink, and did not try to gaslight me at any point. I hadn't eaten all day. Came here starving expecting good food bc of the reviews. I honestly don't think people even know what real food even tastes like anymore. I ordered the crispy chicken tenders to share with my kid. We both took one bite and put it down. They were greasy and soggy and when I picked them up they flopped downward. Also the queso dip was disgusting. It was brown and extremely salty. I literally didn't even eat the food and I'm full because of all the sodium that was in the food. $40 down the drain and I didn't even eat. The service was good and food okay, but there was a guy working, Rodney who was extremely rude to the other staff. Turns out he's a manager there. It seems like he needs some management training or perhaps a demotion. Food was meh. Waitress was meh. It wasn't horrible but given the value for product received I'd go elsewhere.

We were very happy when Chili's came to Effingham, and it has lived up to what we expected! It has become our family's favorite place to eat. The steaks are always great, and the chicken strips are also one of my favorites. It's busy on weekends like anyplace that has good food and service, but it's great that they let you call an hour ahead and get in their virtual line. You can also get in line using the app too. Meh. Nothing special. A bit over priced for what you get. I ordered a couple appetizers to go. Maybe i should have known better than to order nachos to go (although I've had success elsewhere) because these were a soggy mess. They didn't even look like nachos. The Santa Fe egg rolls were fine. The sliders were mediocre. I did like the convenience of ordering online although my order wasn't ready at the specific time provided. I waited another 5 minutes. You must text or call to alert them of your arrival. No one watches for you -even though they provide a time for you to arrive. read more

I came here last week with my fiancé and had a great time. Usually when we eat at a chain restaurant it's not memorable but this time it was. We were seated fast, our server, Darren came over right away and got our drink orders quick. He recommended an app and it was delicious! The rest of our meal came out fast and hot.
