Wanted to give this place a try driving through because it has good reviews. Walked in and it seems like your normal run of the meal fast casual spot that is trying to be like a chipotle. A little dirty but figured why not? Food was ok, nothing great, I honestly didn't finish my whole burrito bowl my stomach was telling me not to. Unfortunately by the time we got home and tried to make dinner I was feeling pretty nauseous and was only able to eat a little. My two little then proceeded to profusely vomit and my husband and I got diarrhea. Definitely will not eat here again :( read more

I grabbed take out here after a twelve hour car ride from North Idaho. The barbacoa was better than Chipotle's and the tomatillo salsa packed some solid heat. My wife enjoyed her tostada type thing (it was called something else but I'm too lazy to revisit the menu right now). Furthermore, their chicken and rice is now the Gold Standard for my son who is something of an expert in these matters. He ate every last grain and mentioned the meal often in the ensuing fortnight of our camping vacation in California. If you're dining in, this place appears to roll the Chipotle/Subway/Pieology assembly line process. There was a lot of background noise when I called in my order, which I think was the reason my wife received neither the sour cream nor the lettuce she'd asked for on her tostada thing. Finding the restaurant was a bit difficult when I went in for pickup. Because of how traffic is managed on the nearest cross street, I was directed behind the restaurant through a residential neighborhood and then back the opposite direction down the street I came in on so that I could make a right turn into the parking lot. However, once I was on the right track the place was not at all difficult to spot. Overall, I was very impressed with my burrito. Very good portion size. So much so, I wasn't able to finish the whole thing. Also of note, the prices shown here in the photos have changed somewhat significantly. $7 burritos are actually $10 or thereabouts. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but something to be aware of. Overall, very satisfied with our food and experience here. It hit the spot after a very long day in the car, and so the lettuce and sour cream omissions will receive a subtracted star omission of my own. TL;DR Version: Big portions, very tasty. Excellent chicken & rice per my 8 year old son. Parking lot a little convoluted and prices in photos may be inaccurate. Get you some. read more

Went in and ordered nachos, but "deconstructed" because I didn't want the nachos to get all soggy with all of the fixings on it. I think that is rather understandable, and attitude was served since walking through the door. Should've turned around, and walked out. Not that many chips as opposed to the fixings that were received. Plate is all sloppy, thank goodness I got other chips laying around I guess. Will not return, absolutely lousy service today. read more

My prayers were answered tonight...September 6th, 2019. I found this place on YELP and stumbled in hoping for the best. The staff could not have been nicer. I asked to taste two things...Chile Verde and Carnitas. I went for the Chili Verde cause it tasted very good. They made the burrito precisely how I asked for it. Chile Verde, Sauce and guac. Perfection on a plate. Bonus points when I left I asked to buy a cup of Carne Asada for my dog and the guy behind the counter got it for me but would not charge me. i put three dollars in the tip jar and am writing this review from my hotel here in Klamath. Chilitos is one of best burrito places i have ever been to. It's very reminiscent of Chipotle, but better by a long shot! The prices are awesome and the burritos are HUGE! Stopped by Chilitos for lunch and was a big fan of the food! They have a setup similar to a Subway/Chipotle where you say what you want, select your meat, then all the toppings/sides to go along with it. The Carne Asada and Barbacoa were definitely the best on the list, but I didn't try them all. One point of improvement on the tacos would be to cut the tortillas from 2 to 1 if the bigger corn ones are used or opt for the smaller street-taco style tortillas to double up. Adding a basic taco plate would also be good if you don't want the side of rice and beans to go along with it. They do have a drive-thru window as well so if you're in a hurry, it could be a good option for you. They also offer Horchata which was pretty good, or bottled Mexican sodas if you prefer. The space is simple, nothing flashy but that's not necessary for a simple place. I did think this was more of a sit down place and was surprised by it being a fast-food spot but the quality was what mattered. I'll definitely come back here for a taco fix or try their burritos next time. read more

Best burritos in town hands down. Its kinda like a Chipotle if your familiar with them. The burritos are huge and their meats are delicious. The employees are super nice. The only bad thing I can think of is that some of the meat like the shred chicken and beef are very wet and make the burrito soggy which can lead to a bit of a mess. read more

Next time I'll ask for the Duran special when going into Chilitos Mexican Grill. I see they are a little hit or miss when it comes to portions, and this appears to be on the "missed" size of things. I ordered the burrito bowl. The salsa tasted crisp and fresh, had great flavor. The rest of the ingredients were mediocre at best. The carnitas meat wasn't dry but it was very bland, as was the rice. The service was so so, maybe we'll give it another try later on in the season when they get the kinks worked out. read more

My wife and I were just passing through town and wanted a lunch that didn't come from a burger place so we came here. The inside was clean and inviting, and the staff were kind and pleasant. While we were staring awkwardly at the menu, an employee took it upon himself to explain some things about their menu, which was nice. I got a chicken burrito with rice, beans, lettuce and some guac and salsa. It was pretty darn good and hit the spot. Good flavors and a good tortilla. My wife just got some chips and guac to snack on. My main comment is that the guac was extremely chunky and not very creamy. Tons of onion and other things in it. It didn't bother me much but it wasn't doing it for my wife. No biggie, everyone has different tastes. Also would have liked a non-meat option for the burrito, but also no big deal. These are very yummy burritos!! I'm a vegetarian and I was a little disappointed that they didn't have a veggie option, but as most veggie heads know you can make it work! The thing I was most blown away by was the girl at the window. I didn't catch her name, but she was so nice and extremely helpful. It was my first time at this restaurant and when i told her that she went out of her way to make sure i understood how their menu/ordering system worked. I've been here 4 times now, each time leaving with a full stomach and no complaints. The one time I ordered a burrito bowl with the salsa Verde in it and asked for extra meat, the employee added 3 more spoonfuls of meat. My son and I usually eat here for under 15 bucks and he absolutely loves it too. Their nachos are intense and the quality of the meat is decent as well. My only wish was that they served pickled jalapeños and carrots with their stuff or had a salsa bar. Heading that way for dinner now. =) read more

Portions were large and everything was very fresh. The price for a extra taco was $3 which is a little pricey. Service was fast and the staff was great at explaining and showing all of our options since it was our first time. The salsa could be more spicy, the spicest one was hardly spicy. Another place that used to be great. The portions are half of what they used to and they increased the price. If it would have been an increase and the same portions it would've been no problem.
