Come and enjoy and respect this beautiful gem at Borrego for our children and the community. They have an outdoor fitness system, tennis courts, a basketball court, volleyball field and and an enclosed off-leash dog park and of course a big beautiful playground. You can access the restrooms right behind the sheriff's building. The library is just right across one of the parking lots. Don't litter! Thank you Borrego Springs my children enjoyed it so much.

There is one major street with various merchants like a cafe, art gallery, liquor store, museum/cultural center, parks, palm trees and all kinds of churches. Also visible are some golf courses and tennis courts. No stop lights or street lights. Astronomy is a big deal here hence the darkness. Bit too polluted/windy for a crazy night sky. On other occassions the night sky is killer like in joshua tree. Hot and nasty though. Sorry. No night sky pics with my canon this time around. The 2010 census claims 3500 ish peeps. Locals are super friendly, and will wave, greet or hold the door open. Numerous festivals are held year round like art festivals or walking events. Great spot to visit!!!

Park has public restrooms & an old brick BBQ pit. Good for kids, has a playground, baseball backstop, basketball court, volleyball area with net. Bike racks, bleachers by the baseball diamond with a drinking fountain. Good for dogs, Pet Friendly, but not enclosed with a gate. My dog liked this park. Large open green space with stadium lights for a game of soccer or football. Metal Picnic tables in the shade near trees & playground. Typical small city park.

There's many things available; everything from 2 racetracks, activity fields, a dog park, a playground and the like. The smaller track has six lanes plus it's track is made for have less impact on the feet. The fields are watered and kept up. There's also a concession stand, and the bathrooms are clean and locked up after closing. The parking lots? Acceptable size. Worth looking into with base access!

Kennedy Park has a play area for children, the grass is kept green, the restrooms are kept clean, and it looks like they are under construction adding additional space for kids to have fun. I know it has had a bad rap in the past but folks can go there during the day and have fun! I saw they had a huge area dedicated to horseshoes (a classic outdoor lawn game where two or four players toss horseshoes at stakes placed 40 feet apart) that several older folks were using. Truly, there is something for everyone.
