Tucked away in chandlers ford is this neat little driving range…read more They have some clubs for use if you don't have any of your own, even left handers like myself can find something to swing It's tees are undercover and the standard distance markers are present along with a could of greens with flags to aim at as well but the best part I found was the old car parked smack bang in the middle of the range. I've done my fair share of mini golf in the past but never properly swung a golf club so that my excuse for firing 100 balls and missing at the car. I did have my last shot sail right over the top of it, in line too so that was my win for actually hitting in the direction I wanted! However, that can make it a little trickier to get to, and bear in mind any taxi rides if you are tempted by the decent value green fees. I often use a course in Balham which is more easily accessible, but the quality of this course means i will probably be back again. There is also a small food/drinks area which serves an essential cold beer from the tap : )

Plenty of parking but once parked up it took a bit of searching to find the clubhouse. I had booked online but the guy on the till had no record of this, luckily it wasn't busy and we were given the balls and allowed straight out onto the 1st tee. The course isn't too tricky and well kept. It's easy to find your way around and we had a really enjoyable "round". I can definitely recommend this game to all with a slight interest in either sport. I was with the family on this visit and they all had a great time too, 9 holes was definitely enough for them but if I return with my mates we would probably do 18.

Although not as cheap as some others in the area(£23.50 for a weekend round) it represents good value for money. The course is in the parkland style with very little thick rough but a lot of trees. The fairways are good and I'd imagine the greens are great in the dry. Unfortunately, we played after a period of heavy rain and there was a lot of standing water. A few factors meant that I have not given it the highest score possible. Firstly, it is not clear where you have to pay as the pro shop and clubhouse are about 300m apart and there did not seem to be any clear direction on the way in. Secondly, we were not offered a course map and there is not one printed on the scorecard which meant we did not know the layout of the course including dog-legs and water features (watch out for the very large water filled ditch in front of the green on the 8th). This slowed our play at the start and did not help with shot selection on some holes. The proshop and clubhouse are good - offfering value for money food/drink at the 19th. The clubhouse is currently covered in scaffold but there appeared to be great views out over towards Southampton.

Great facilities and an American Gol Shop attached as well who give great (free) advice about…read moreplayin and equipment. They also have a video analysis bay that is great to watch yourself swinging and working out how to improve your swing.

You realize right away when you enter that this isn't a normal mini-golf course! From the dressed up people, the drinks flowing and the fun and creative course - you are in for a good time! Food is available from lots of little kiosks but be prepared for a decent wait for that or your drinks even with their mobile order system. You can take your drinks on the course (and get refills!) which is fun - but it also means that drink glasses are all over if the staff is behind in picking them up. The biggest negatives are feeling herded through the course quickly and very loud drunk people. But overall it's worth the visit!

Overall a cool place to enjoy an activity or just hang with friends.

I could not find much information prior to playing so booked on recommendation by golfbreaks…read more(booked as a package so our group played both courses). Overall, we really enjoyed both courses with our preference for the Greenwood (like most others I think). I suggest they should market themselves more and bring their website up to date with the branding found on their scorecards. Caveat: our group ranged from twice a year players to those playing off 15 so overall I would class us as keen amateurs rather than established golf club members. Hence, our idea of excellent might not be the same as someone who belongs to a club & plays twice a week. It had been very wet all week and the first hole on the Greenwood course was still very damp underfoot but after turning the corner on the dog leg second the course was in excellent condition. The course is great and challenging enough. It is all quite open with lots of new saplings. Memorable holes include the par 3 6th with a blind shot to the green, the drive from the 7th drive, the long drive down the hill to the 15th and of course the signature hole (17th par 3 over the lake). Overall, we enjoyed every hole as they are all quite different. We played the Parkland on the second day and the first 14 holes are flat but there are ditches on most holes which came into play due to the north-easterly head wind. On paper it looks easy but we found it as challenging as the Greenwood with oak trees in the right places that often came into play. They have put in a lot of drainage channels on the fairways and sand is evident on the greens so we assume they've had problems in the past. But we found no problems at all and the course was in great condition. The last 4 holes are more akin to the Greenwood course as you head up the hill and down again. The bar was good value offering sandwiches, panninis, burgers, etc - shame the vines cover the view of the 18th. We can't comment on the price but they were advertising £15 for twilight rounds (from midday on Parkland and 3pm on Greenwood) which looks like good value to me.
