Ease of Contact Initiation: Met Expectations NOTE: Solo businessman so you will need to leave a message if he is climbing on roofs, but he calls back in a timely manner, within 1 day. Consultation Meeting: Met Expectations -Arrived on exact day & on time. NOTE: Again, keep in mind that a solo business can only accept so many projects at the same time & be proficient. Quote/Estimate: Met Expectations -Was very clear & included multiple photos/videos. -Was reasonably priced. -Was willing to use pre-existing parts that were still in very good condition. -Offered optional decorative accessory, but was not upset that we elected not to pursue that at this time. -Excellent value. Ease of Ongoing Communication: Met Expectations -Very easy to text him about anything. Execution of Project: Met Expectations -Started on time. -Completed in 1 day as quoted. -Again, extensive photos provided & work performed looked professional as expected. -Finished on time. NOTE: Since this is mostly working on the roof, flexibility & understanding are needed re:extensive work not being done when temps are over 90 degrees or during rain/thunder/lightning storms. However, he did place a very secure, temporary tarp over the opening to protect from rain until the actual repair date. Recommendation: Highly Recommended -Would use again if needed. ;-) read more

Hiram and his company are top notch! We originally found him 5 years ago when we moved into a new house that had rats in the attic. He is super honest and easy to work with, and quickly solved our rodent issues and sealed up all the entry points for reasonable cost. We had the attic re-insulated afterwards and haven't had any issues since. We called him back a couple years later to install two fireplace log kits and repair some parts of a broken outdoor fireplace. Today he came out to ease my mind about animal noises I heard that I thought were coming from inside the attic (but apparently were on the roof). There was a couple of weeks before they had an opening in their schedule to help us out with squirrels getting in to the tip top of our chimney, but when Hiram came out to assess things, he got serious about it really quick. He manufactured a custom-fitted new chimney cap in less than a week and then came back to install it--on a Sunday. We were given color choices for the metal finish (which complemented out house very well). The build quality and appearance of the new piece is vastly superior to the original chimney cap. All of the steel mesh is firmly attached on all sides so that squirrels are not going to have access any longer. Thank you Hiram! I wish I had more chimneys he could work on. read more

Needed an inspection and estimate for possible work needed on a chimney and fireplace given an inspection by a non-chimney inspector that gave me concerns. I paid $119 for this work on 6/19 and was promised the inspection by 6/21. I called the company the next week and again they said they'd have it that week. It's July 13 and I never heard back from them. read more

Hiram came out for a scheduled cleaning and inspection. Quickly determined our fireplace was clean. Knowing I had never used a gas fireplace before, he had me sit down in front of the chimney, look up to see the damper, explained all the components and had me turn the gas on and light the fire not once but three times just to make sure I was comfortable. In the spring of 2021 I had my gas logs installed by Hiram. It was before the ice storm. And I was very glad to have it done during the ice storm because I slept in front of this fireplace during that time.. He did much much more than just install my logs he swept out my chimney painted it from the inside installed a new wire mesh curtain in front of the fireplace. He was very fast very cordial pleasant to work with I am very happy that he did this work for me and I would be happy to have him do it again if needed. read more

The timing from first call to scheduling an inspection was within a few days and Hiram was just as fantastic as everyone else has said. Friendly, communicative, very honest and incredibly helpful! I am SO happy with the service on my chimney. Hiram came on time and did a great job. He had some great suggestions for remodeling my fireplace surround in the future. We used C & W Specialists today to inspect and do work on our two chimneys. They did an excellent job to install new burners so we can put the recycled glass inside. He also put new bird guards and leveled out the masonry on the chimney top. They were professional on time and the fireplaces look great. They also do wildlife removal but I did not use them for that. I would not think twice about calling them if I hear critters upstairs! Highly recommend them!!! read more
