Her experience was so positive, I knew I had to reach out. I don't think ASAP does carpet cleaning in the Columbus area, but they do come to Columbus for HVAC cleaning - yay!! Not only was Martha kind and prompt throughout the scheduling process, she thought of everything -- including looking at my house/street parking situation. I had never had HVAC cleaning before so I never thought about needing parking permits since they worked for probably 5 hours. I worked with the city and paid for the right-of-way parking we needed in advance. Her consideration helped us avoid a huge issue! We didn't have to wait too long for our appointment. They arrived on time, worked quickly and thoroughly. I knew our HVAC was dirty, but man the before/after photos they took were unreal! No wonder I couldn't keep the dust down! My favorite part - and this really sets them apart: they use a thyme-based disinfectant in the ducts that smells SO good! It doesn't last long, but everything smells fresh when they're finished. Poor communication, mediocre methods…read more My husband and I hired Jim (no contract, cash exchange) to take care of some duct work in our kitchen. We started a major remodel in the beginning of December. Jim was referred to us by a plumber. We checked out his reviews on Homeadvisor and Facebook, and decided he was it. Jim's work was sloppy when he did actually show. A job that he said would take a few days took 4 weeks because each time he did show up he "forgot" material, or said there was a miscommunication about what we asked him to do. He would plan to show up for work and then not show up - when we would call him to check on his status he claimed to be out on emergency. A personal emergency pulled him away from work for over a week, but we did understand this. However when he returned his work was poorly completed and not at all worth what we paid. His last day in our kitchen I called him after inspecting his work to tell him something felt off and asked him to call me back. He never did. I've reported him and his company to the Better Business Bureau.

I searched online and found that Keyser Mechanical was nearby and had strong reviews. I called and Jim answered on the first ring. He said he could be right over and he arrived within 90 minutess. Our 15+ year old coil had failed and he gave us two options, repair and recharge with the expensive R-22 refridgerant or spend a bit more and replace the compressor too. He made it very clear and did not pressure us in one direction but the decision was easy, replace the system. He was booked up for the next several days but offered to come on the following Sunday morning at 9:00am to replace our units. I shared what my budget was and he recommended a solid unit that met our needs and he had lots of experience with. Hot days were on the way before he could do the install, so get this, he refilled our old system with R-22 to tide us over until Sunday, at no extra charge! He contacted us the day before the install date and arrived right on time Sunday at 9:00am. He said it would take 2 hours, and it did. He was friendly, professional and didn't mind me standing over him asking questions as I am a curious sort of person. The system has been in for about a month and is wonderful. No issues, no problems, highly recommended! I wish all contractors were this reliable and professional. Call Jim!!!

They replaced all holes with new roof sheathing and widened the ridge vent for proper ventilation! So happy to find a company who values doing it right over doing it quick and cheap!
