You can get all the common dishes here but you can also get some unusual dishes that are very authentic. My grandson once ordered jelly fish. You can't get that at very many local restaurants. Another thing I like is that they have a couple of large round tables with lazy Susans. Our extended family sat at one of those tables once. It was fun putting the things we wanted to share on the lazy Susan and being able to spin it around and try what we wanted. It made for fun conversation talking about the different dishes. That was when our grandson ordered jellyfish. The restaurant is fairly small but the large tables make the restaurant good for groups. I think this would be an excellent place for a Yelp event. They have a lunch menu but you have to ask for it. It includes some of the popular Asian dishes for $9:95. They have smaller portions that come with a choice of soup or egg roll. Danny and I asked to see the lunch menu, but decided to order off the main menu. We split Crispy Tofu with garlic sauce and egg rolls. I liked the presentation of the egg rolls. They were cut diagonally and arranged nicely on the plate. The tofu dish was quite tasty. Next time, I plan to get Mei Fun. I have had it here before and loved the variety of flavors. The service wasn't terrible but it wasn't wonderful. We got our food in a timely manner, but we felt rushed to order and she didn't check to see if we needed anything or refill our water glasses. Service here has been excellent in the past. I am glad we came back to Chengdu and were reminded of how much we like it. We will be back soon.

I have had the opportunity to eat at some of the finest Chinese restaurants throughout San Francisco and have eaten at some of the best Chinese restaurants in Baja Mexico (I realize this may sound ridiculous, but Mexico has some of the best Asian restaurants). It may surprise you but the Chinese influence and culture is very rich in Baja. And, I like some heat! I am also somewhat familiar with the Schahuan region style of cooking recognized for being spicy and hot! I was visiting from Texas, my cousin and kinda fell upon this restaurant accidentally! Truly I forgot what all we ordered but I know I had the Green Beans and Chicken Lo Mein. This is one of the top three Chinese restaurants I have ever eaten at! The food was so authentic, just enough heat and delicious! I would love to return.

The restaurant itself is pretty sizable, so there are booths as well as tables to sit at. The hostess is friendly and remembers your face when you come in. (That's a big deal to me) When we went in my younger son wasn't with us, and she noticed and asked after him. So, it means she pays attention! They do offer soda, but I can't remember if it's included with the cost for the buffet. They do have an adult price, and a child's price. We don't go there a ton, but the customer service is always great. They ensure your drinks are filled and they clear your dirty plates pretty quick as well. So, check it out. I think it's better than the Chinese place that's in Stillwater! No I'm not talking about Golden Dragon, or the place that's in the old red lobster.
