Chicken cutlet special w/glazed carrots, mash potatoes, and a roll
    Roxanne H.

Was in Okmulgee and decided to stop in to Kirby's for lunch. My husband got his side salad out and they accidentally made an extra and let us have an extra salad which was perfect size for me as I don't eat much. I ordered the cup of broccoli soup and it was not bad. Not the creamiest but for $4 definitely worth it. The sweet tea was delicious tho. My husband said his chicken was good and the portion was good for him. Our waiter was very nice and definitely made the experience great especially with the awful service we have gotten here recently at different establishments it was nice for someone to be nice as we are as customers. Our total was $15.60 two people and a drink what a damn deal! Will definitely be back next time we're in town!

What a Great place to grab lunch !! Kirby's is just that, small, neat, clean, great atmosphere and good food. This was my first time, so how can you go wrong with the "Daily Special "? I had the chicken and dumplings with fried okra and a green garden salad. The special also comes with a homemade hot roll! It was all berry good. Tasted great and I definitely would get it again. The waitress was very helpful and there anytime you needed her. When in Okmulgee, Oklahoma go give Kirby's a try. Go get Full

Cup of potato soup & side of green beans

The positives; It wasn't too loud, no horrible music, and lots of seating. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food came out relatively quick. The negatives; Not a single staff member wearing masks. The cook came out and she wasn't wearing one either. Really unsettling but they did clean off the booths people sat in after they left The food: I got the potato soup. It was delicious and really flavorful. 10/10. The green beans were good. The peach cobbler just tasted like cake with peaches, not worth the calories. The cheesecakes comes in a box, not made in house. A bunch of the other pies appeared to be in a box and not homemade so I'd probably skip dessert here and get it elsewhere

The food was plain boring. The service and setting average. Only ate there because Coleman's was closed. Will not make that mistake again.

I normally treat myself to a late breakfast or an early lunch, something those hip young people refer to as brunch, after a successful morning of court. Located on the west side of I-75, hard to miss. The building doesn't look in the best shape, interior could use some work too but that's part of the charm. The place is clean, with not much decorations. The menu and tables are plastered with local advertisements. They offer everything from your typical breakfast staples, to sandwiches, steaks and weekly comforting specials. My typical order is the ham steak breakfast. $13.99 gets you a meal that leaves you full for the next day and half. They give you a slice of ham, topped with a grilled pineapple, that takes up a whole plate by itself. Eggs cooked to order and the compliments of your choosing whether it be grits (my personal favorite), pancake, or homemade biscuit and gravy (also good, but easily makes this meal cross the line of excessive) and toast or an english muffin. The eggs are really cooked to order and in butter. Never had a bad experience there. Staff is friendly. Probably the only restaurant I know in existence that still has a smoking section, that seems as big or bigger than the non-smoking area.

Ive seen this place plenty of times driving into town but had never eaten there. The two guys I was with are regulars and you could tell by how we were greeted at the door. As an aside, I think this must be one of the only places left in the state that still has a smoking section. Anyway we were greeted and sat down and somebody came right over and took our drink orders. So far so good. Girl came back and took our orders. One guy got an omelet, the other just some bacon and scrambled eggs. One of the specials was a breakfast ribeye so I opted for that. Big mistake on my part. Ordered the steak, medium, the eggs over medium, and tomato slices instead of hashbrowns. Food comes out and the other guys stuff looks good. Mine looks like a wreck. The "steak" was just a piece of grey meat with no fat, it looked like a boiled piece of chuck. Grey color all the way thru. Definitely NOT medium. The eggs were extra runny, definitely not over medium. Even the tomato slices were a disappointment. They used cheap Roma tomatoes. Literally just down the street, there is a farmers market with folks selling beautiful garden ripe tomatoes and they served tasteless Roma tomatoes. My food was a complete wash. Can't recommend this place at all. Service was good, food was horrible.

Brisket Pulled Pork Smoked Turkey Pork Ribs Hot Links and finally... Smoked Baloney. Potato Salad, White Mac and Cheese, Texas Toast, Pickle and Onion. Everything was smoked perfectly - even the baloney, which surprised both of us eating there - and absolutely tender. The meats aren't dripping in sauce which is often used to moisten a bad cook or to disguise poor flavors. Nope. If you want a saucy meal, it's a "self-inflicted wound" in my books, because you're missing out on some great well cooked meat. We didn't go there for side options, so reviewing them isn't the point. I did not see either a Corn Bread or a Biscuit choice which I would have chosen, but took the usual's just to see how they're done at Rustlers. I'm not a banana for dessert fan, that is, until my dinner guest forced me to have some of Rustlers Banana Pudding. I am now a rabid fan of banana's for dessert. Yes, it's that good. Don't keep whistling down the highway at 80+MPH trying to get somewhere faster than you should. Slow down, stop in, and get some well made BBQ. Sure, you're going to have the "meat sweats" once you've had your fill, but it's all well worth it in the end.

They are known for offering gluten-free food but I am not sure if their whole menu is gluten-free. This was a perfect opportunity to try it out since it was a week day. We arrived for an early dinner so it was not busy at all. It was really quiet inside since it wasn't busy but I can only imagine how fun it is during their busy times. They are not open Saturday and Sunday. It is a small location but easy to find. As we stepped inside we were a little lost as to what to do first, wait for a hostess, find a table and wait to order or walk up to the small counter area to order. My husband asked and we were instructed to order then find a table to sit. I love a good Chicken Fried Steak so I already knew what I was going to order. It came with mashed potatoes and of course, gravy, plus a roll. It would be nice if another veggie was offered to off-set a carb heavy meal. My husband ordered the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes, green beans and roll. He later noticed a very tiny sign next to the register advertising pot roast and was a little disappointed he didn't see that first. Pot roast is his favorite. For dessert, he thought he saw coconut creme pie in the cooler but it was lemon meringue which he is not a fan. He settled on the pecan pie cheesecake that we shared. It was a surprisingly great pie. All of our food was great and exceeded our expectations. We would like to come back again so he can try the pot roast and I will order the CFS again. This restaurant definitely has a small town feel where they know their regulars by name. I would recommend it to friends and family.
