dumplings in a styrofoam container
Leslie T.

Super fast for takeout and very nice people. The food is generally okay. I'll never get the won ton soup here again (it is brown!) and doesn't taste good. Gross The general Tso's is a safe bet. The steamed dumplings are bland but otherwise ok.

GREEN PEPPERS in Szechuan Beef?!? First and LAST time I order from China Express. Ordered General Tso's and Szechuan Beef, my two standard go-to Chinese dishes. When the food was delivered, the Szechuan Beef dish was over 60% green peppers. Green peppers?!? In Szechuan Beef??? And not a few of them - SO MUCH green peppers that it was the MAJORITY of the dish. 1. In my 5 decades of eating Chinese, I have never seen green peppers in Szechuan Beef. I double-checked the website to see if they listed this ingredient in this dish - they do not. 2. I figured this could be an easy fix. I called to get a replacement dish, as I cannot eat green peppers. But their response was that they always put green peppers in it (although not listed as an ingredient on their menu and also as an obscure ingredient for this dish), and in their opinion That is That. Deal with it, customer! Period. She actually *argued* her point. So much for customer service. A simple replacement dish would have solved this issue.

It took us about 5 minutes for a table to clear out and luckily it was big enough for our party of 5. We ended up ordering our drinks and food at the bar when we noticed it was going to take a while for someone to actually get to our table. After about 20 minutes our chicken, chorizo and carne asada tacos came out. For the specials they had going out, it was a great deal! $8 house margaritas $4.50 for carne asada I think $3.00 for chicken? We ended up getting almost 20 tacos, 8 margs and two shots and we had a great time! Shout out to the bar tenders that were popping out drinks as quickly as they could!

The nachos were delicious! I like that the 'nachos' are really fried wonton skins, much lighter and easier to bite into than chips! And loved the amount of avocado and fish roe ! Service is actually good for keeping up with how busy and fast paced it got ! It's quite 'clubby' fridays and saturdays nights and more chill other days of the week with ample seating ! Two bars so def great spot to grab a drink if you're in the area as well.

The pistachio croissant was perfectly balanced, flaky and rich without being overly sweet. At this point, there's a problem almost every time I come here, whether it's busy or not, which makes it difficult to chalk it up to normal rush-related mistakes. The biggest issue is that there doesn't seem to be any real system for catching or resolving errors once they happen. Things tend to fall through the cracks and then it becomes the customer's responsibility to chase someone down for help or follow up multiple times to get an issue resolved. What's especially frustrating is the response when issues are pointed out. Instead of feeling met with urgency, accountability, or even basic apologetic customer service, the reaction often feels confused, dismissive, or slightly defensive -- like the burden is somehow on the customer for bringing it up in the first place. Staff overall tend to seem disengaged rather than proactive about fixing problems and the general vibe is very "bare minimum" customer service. I understand mistakes happen in any busy cafe and I wouldn't leave a review over a one-off experience. But after repeated visits with the same pattern, it's hard to justify coming back. The food is genuinely good, but not good enough to outweigh the consistently frustrating service experiences. As someone local to the area, I want to feel like my business is appreciated and unfortunately I just haven't felt that here. I'd gladly come back if the service and follow-through became more consistent.

Located in the busy Clarendon area of downtown Arlington this spot is quaint, cute and gets quite busy. I started with the Chilli Hoisin Duck Bao Bun which was hot, fluffy and savory. Their motto is " from bowl to soul" and this is hands down the BEST Ramen I've ever had. The Spicy Pork Szechuan ramen had so much flavor and definitely warmed my soul! The Spicy chicken broth along with the szechuan ground pork makes the dish, and the broth was rich & savory. The pork flavor was strong and the teriyaki took it up a notch. Mmmm mmm good. The ramen is very hearty but you can't stop eating it. Oh yeah the Banana Katsu with salted caramel ice cream is a great dessert to close out this meal. One of these days I will definitely try another dish but for now if it ain't broke I don't plan on fixing it!

I would ask for a booth/regular seating if you don't want to sit on the high top stools. I tried the mushroom and eggplant bao for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. I could definitely eat more than two of these. The chicken katsu curry is a generous portion size and I took some home. My only note is that I would prefer more curry sauce for a more even sauce to rice ratio.

They offer an all-you-can-eat dinner menu (plus brunch), and every single thing we tried was delicious. We were a party of two and definitely overstuffed ourselves trying as much as we could Honestly, I think 3-4 people would be the perfect group size so you can share everything and sample more dishes comfortably. The food came out quickly, tapas-style, which made the whole experience even better. Great price for the amount and quality of food, excellent service, and such a fun ambiance. When we walked in, we thought it was gonna be packed because there were no reservations on OpenTable however they were able to see us right away. A very nice touch to add a stem of Rose for the women. I would say that I gave it a lower star rating not because the food was bad. It was actually delicious, but probably the experience itself. The restaurant felt chaotic, and even though all the tables were not completely packed of course there were flowers everywhere people gathering with grandmother's mother's children, etc We were seated in a two people table and all the top past dishes started to pile up very quickly. Instead of monitoring, the progress of the finished dishes and removing those dishes due to space constraint, the dishes came from the kitchen, almost on top of one another, and at one point I had to hold a dish in my hand in order to make space to put a dish on top of another flatbread pan/dish, making things super chaotic. Also dishes had to be put on top of the menu because in order to order additional food, you need to leave at least one copy of the menu at the table. Overall, again the flavors and taste were good, though I might have had similar dishes from other places, and my partner commented that some of it is actually very close to the Capital One landing at DCA. I would just say that it was more due to the chaos and just the way that all the dishes piled up on top of us we felt like we were we had to eat super quickly so that we could stack dishes ourselves and create room at the table. Also, when serving the dishes were not kept level and basically was slide to the side of the dish, making presentation off
