New China Queen is our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. The food is always made with care and you are always greeted with a smile. Some of our favorites are beef mei fun, general tsos, beef and broccoli, walnut shrimp, and sweet and sour chicken. Their egg rolls are the best, and we always love either the crab ragoons or the dumplings. We have never been disappointed. On busy nights, wait times can be a little longer but we never mind, it is worth it every time. read more

11/11/24. I stopped in to order takeout for Szechuan beef. I asked for it to be extra spicy with extra onions but no baby corn or mushrooms and spicy rice too. . I get home and there's barely 4 skimpy pieces of beef in it and absolutely no spice AT ALL! The container was 85% rice and the 4 pieces of meat and vegetables were on top. However, I did get extra onions like a pile of them on top.. in addition to the rice not being spicy at all it had absolutely no flavor. What a huge disappointment. I called to voice my concerns and he completely basically sat silent on the phone and I kept repeating myself. "Do you understand me?" He gave no apologies.. nothing. Simply said "that's the way it is." Well, if that's the way it is, I will never go back there again. I've never had a bad experience there but this was enough to turn me away especially after his attitude. So beware. What are we supposed to do? Open the container while we're there in front of them and see how much protein is added. Just ridiculous! read more

New chef, Chef Chen, at the NEW China Queen. The food to top notch, authentic, and delicious. Chen's Mapo Tofu is soooo good. Our last meal there,(ordered by a knowledgeable Chinese food critic) consisted of the Mapo Tofu, steak with peppers, shrimp with cashew nuts, roast pork with asparagus, chicken with snow peas and pineapple, and cold steamed chicken with chile sauce. All different sauces, all terrific. Chen's delightful wife will be serving your food. Heads-up, service can be a little slow because the food is being prepared while you wait. Get a menu and pre- order if you're in a hurry. There is no bar but you can BYOB. Well worth a try! read more

This used to be our favorite Chinese place, but it's changed owners several times and is now owned by an Asian family that speaks neither English or Chinese. Tonight I ordered chicken chow mein and was presented with a plate of bok choy with a little steamed chicken and a bowl of white rice. The waitress couldn't understand why I was confused. She tried explaining to me that "lo mein means with noodle and chow mein means no noodle". And if I want noodle I need to order lo mein. Probably the last time we'll go there. read more

YAS KWEEN New to the area and craving General Tsos on Easter, we tried *NEW* China Queen. I cannot speak to the former China Queen, but New China Queen knows what she's doing. The first time at any chinese place can be questionable, especially in rural PA, but all of our pieces of chicken were quality. The dumplings were on point. I asked for Spicy General Tsos and it was a perfect level of heat to it. Just what I was hungry for! Phew! I've had first time experiences at chinese restaurants go WAY worse :) read more

The General Tso's chicken good. The Pork Fried rice was a joke, just 20 pieces of pork and some onions mixed in with brown rice. However it was the egg rolls that was most disappointing part of the meal, they tasted like they store brought. read more

I don't like to write negative reviews, but I think it is my duty as a citizen to say, "do not eat here for your own health!" When we walked in we stood in the front for 5 minutes waiting to be greeted, we saw nobody working at all. After a while i noticed a doorbell that had a sign that read,"ring for service". We rang it and a woman came out of the kitchen, sat us and disappeared again. She finally resurfaced and took our drink orders and food orders. Then we sat there, and sat there and sat there. No drinks, nothing, for 10 minutes. Finally she brought our drinks out along with half a dish of crispy noodles and red duck sauce (usually orange). We asked for mustard with it, she handed us 10 mustard packets, and no dish to put it in. This was so weird. We got our soups, they were good. The pupu platter came out with no flame, coconut shrimp was disgusting, meat on the stick was cold and old, ribs were good, crab Ragoon was good, and egg rolls were old and gross. Then the pork fried rice, Hawaii 5-0, chicken with broccoli, and triple delight. Pork fried rice smelled and tasted like dirty dish water, Hawaii 5-0 had old freezer burned lobster, 1 shrimp and meats that resembled chicken and beef; triple delight had mystery meat and tasted awful. We all took one bite of our meals and wanted to get out of their as fast as we can. $60 later and very disgusting. read more

Food was okay got the food to go the food is normally good but this time chicken and broccoli was tasteless. Giving four out of 5 and not a 3 because the general tsos chicken was the best I've tasted not to hard fried just perfect. read more

i've been away awhile so the updates were a surprise to me. new booths, new lamps, new wall decorations, a sushi bar (!?), a couple of thai items on the menu - new menus even! all changes for the better. i sampled the sushi but didn't go crazy with it because of my personal (and hard-learned) rule about not eating raw fish more than an hour from an ocean but the tuna sushi was ok. not brilliant - obviously flash frozen and the rice was chilled and a little hard but the wasabi was fresh and the pickled ginger was good and they brought out the japanese soy sauce for the sushi which is reassuring. however: the name of the place is "china queen." what happened to the chinese food? the lo mein was bland and how do you mess up fried rice?!? it tasted and looked like it spent less than a minute in the wok - it was almost still white! even the fried noodles and fortune cookies were stale. making the place look nicer doesn't hardly matter if you make the food worse. read more

I love this place. I have never had a bad meal. The portions are large and the food is always prepared the way I order. When you ask for hot (spicy) you never get bland or so hot you can't taste the food. The hotel and spicy chicken is my favorite with a large variety of vegetables in the dish and a lot of flavor. Service is excellent but the place is not sure conditioned and only takes cash. I don't get here often but have been coming for years and highly recommend it to everyone. read more

Best Chinese restaurant in the area. It's right next to Ace Hardware on Rt 11. The Sa Cha beef was hearty, and the sliced roasted pork with Chinese vegetables was nice and savory. Meat is tender and the veggies taste fresh. The meat dumplings are truly amazing. To update earlier reports, service was fine and they do take credit cards. read more

Ate there last evening It was very good. There were several tables full and several take-outs so service was slow but well worth the wait. Orange chicken, cashew chicken, egg rolls, soups....all excellent. Food is fresh and tasty. Don't hesitate to try this restaurant. read more
