The concept of ordering 4 different small dishes per person gives the customers the opportunity to taste everything. The beef with pistacchio for sure was our favorite. The hostess and service are great! A bit more expensive than other restaurants on Gran Canaria, but also much better quality! You won't regret it!

This would be Arguineguin,s answer to Glasgow,s Ox and Finch . Run by a Swedish and Danish couple ,…read morethe personal touch prevails throughout one,s dining experience . Menu is composed of tasting dishes so 3 to 4 dishes would be the norm here . Ingredients are sourced locally where possible eg fish caught that very day . The restaurant prides itself on its wine selection (150 bottles in stock ) All of which can be purchased by glass which is unusual . Our waiter took great pains to introduce us to the menu and whilst in conversation he told us he had worked in Babbity Bowsers in Glasgow at one juncture . This made us feel at ease and we spent sometime choosing dishes whilst sipping Tio Pepe as a aperitif . We selected a tomato / mozzarella salad alongside mushroom croquettes and a cheese / honey and pine nut combination. The mozzarella was delicious and fresh and the croquettes had chanterelle mushrooms and champignons in them . The cheese with honey and pine nuts was my favourite , really mouthwatering . There was a bit of butter used in the cooking process which obviously upped the fat content but allowed a delicious taste to permeate the dishes . A lovely sea bass followed by which time we were starting to struggle so opted not to have a dessert . For a Tuesday night the restaurant was busy and booking is recommended . The clientele are predominantly Scandinavian as so many come here to escape the weather . A bit like ourselves actually . We were given a honey rum ,compliments of the house to finish our meal ,which had a dusting of cinnamon on it . We rolled out feeling replete and vowing to return soon .

Only thing we would skip next time is the garlic bread, and only because there was a lot of bread on the table with the other items we ordered. Missed taking pictures of a couple of the items we ordered. Service was very friendly and quick, not that you want to leave quickly with the water and beach view. We will definitely be back to try out some of their other dishes before we leave Mogán--that Apple strudel sounded and looked amazing!

In terms of food, I need to recommend the canarian cheese with jamon. This was a fantastic appetizer to start our meal. I had the fillet steak, cooked rare. Good news: it was actually cooked rare! I got it with sauteed potatoes. My wife got an excellent piece of fish. The whole experience was very nice. We came with our two year old, and they had a high chair for him. The staff was very friendly with our son. The owner is German, and it looks like this place typically caters to a German clientele. Nothing wrong with that! Just felt funny to realize that after a few days in Spanish Gran Canaria, all of a sudden we were surround by German speakers. Great spot. Great location. Reasonable prices. Very good food. Enjoy!

Nice decor including the odd Buddha or two , it has great lounge music in the background which truly sets the scene for some South East Asian food . Pho is on the menu ,alongside curries , stir fries and most flavoursome fusion dishes I ate white fish cooked with ginger and lemongrass which made the taste buds zing . Too full for desert but will definitely return to sample more

Even when we tried to explain what they could do to make one, they would not listen just replied "No". We should have left at that point However we ordered pizza and the angus burger. Both were terrible The biggest disappointment was yet to come. When the waiter rang our card they charged it in dollars without asking if we preferred to pay in euros or dollars which had been the custom practice in Portugal and Spain the past three weeks. When we questioned the higher charge, the waiter said "No it's what the boss man says it had to be. ". Clearly he knew this is their scam but he lost his tip which would have been more than what they charged us to pay in dollars. So disappointed. Do not support this awful business. Many other good choices near by.

Four stars for a local, cheap, fast and cheery restaurant. If you are looking for something more…read morepretentious and upscale, you've got the wrong place. One star deducted due to discomfort of cats bothering me whilst eating fish (more below). Meows ! - Paella (seafood) has fresh ingredients and doesn't come as cheap and cheery as this. I like how this isn't too large to allow you to eat other things. - Fish: they recommend the parrot fish and I really liked it. Very fresh and nice. It's fried. - Service: very courteous, no nonsense and fast. Love it and had no problems not being able to speak much Spanish. There are plenty of pictures on the menu cards for you to order things easily by pointing at what you think looks good. - Drinks: they serve the local beer (Tropical) and some other stuff. I washed my meal down with a large Tropical beer. - Surrounding: you are at the water so in the winter it can be chilly and summers will have a beautiful view. Be warned when eating you may have a cat or two or three walking past you time to time hoping you will accidentally drop your fish for a feast. One cat in particular likes to scratch my knee a few times, but this cat left my partner alone. It sorta hurt so I was uncomfortable eating when the fish arrived cos I didn't want this cat to keep bothering me. When the cat later tried to approach me again I just violently shrugged my leg, so if this happens to you maybe this will work. There seems to be a bunch of cats walking around this neighborhood at the time I came at night. They mainly keep to themselves. One star deducted for the discomfort of eating here with the cat kingdom watching over me. LOL - Public transport: easy to get here, a manageable 8 minute walk and short bus ride from Maspalomas (Holiday World area). With car, plenty of parking available.
