Two stars for the food! Four stars for the fact they will bring it to me! They are the only delivery service available to me besides Pizza and Dodges's (Don't be dumb)... There isn't a whole lot more I can say about this place... They seem to be friendly enough and answered all of my questions. I find some food items to be ok, and some to be fair. General Tso's Chicken is good if you are drunk and really hungry. The next day I was like "what the hell is this stuff?" Crab Rangoons are not too bad and the fried rice is acceptable. I didn't care for the Hot and Sour soup that much at all. The chicken wings are absolute trash, don't even do it! Fast, cheap, tasty. Don't go into a takeout joint expecting a 5 star experience; however, it was enough to placate our Chinese food craving. The pot stickers were somewhat doughy and the filling was pretty bland. Spice was pretty non-existent, but I tend to like it spicy enough to sweat. The noodles and rice were surprisingly not overly oily and had solid flavor. General Tso's was mostly a sticky, syrupy sauce - which is the Americanized version of this, so somewhat to be expected. Sadly disappointed with this take-out as it is the closest one to our new home. My husband and I tried it for the first time yesterday. I ordered the sesame chicken dinner combo, and he had the general tso's dinner combo. The general tso's had no spice, and both meats tasted flavorless, unless you count cardboard as a flavor. The food tasted like it had been frozen and microwaved, and the meat and fried batter were tough to chew. The egg rolls were the best part of the meal, and the fried rice wasn't bad. Very standard Chinese food for a reasonable price. None of the dishes on this menu will surprise or wow you, but they probably won't gross you out either. In fact, they will be exactly thus: satisfactory. I like that this is a genuine Mom and Pop setup. When I was here last, a girl who I took to be the owner's daughter, about 10 years old, took our orders. It was very cute, and she did it correctly. It was very sweet to watch. We live extremely close to this restaurant and as a family that works as much as we do, we were extremely excited to find out this restaurant relievers. However after ordering from this place a few times I think it I am now ready to write a review. Tonight we ordered dinner at 6:30 our dinner was delivered at 7:20. When it arrived it all came in one very thin plastic bag packed as full as they could get it. Some sweet & sour sauce spilled EVERYWHERE in the bag. The chicken fried rice was delicious and unfortunately the only thing I was able to eat. My egg roll was burnt, stale, & cold. My orange chicken was not orange chicken. I don't know if place is just a different Chinese restaurant and they make a different kind of orange chicken than I'm used to but my organs chicken consisted of sesame chicken with 4 mandarin orange slices in it. My boyfriends mother got sweet and sour shrimp and fried rice. Her rice was very dry like and he shrimp consisted of 75% fried dough. She peeled the breeding off the shrimp and it totaled up to 6 regular sized pieces of shrimp. Only one meal was suitable out of our entire order tonight and that was the shrimp lo mein my boyfriend got. Also the fortune cookie was very stale. All together we have had a bad experience with this place multiple times now. I didn't want to write a bad review but I honestly think people need to know what to expect if they're having food delivered. I don't have pictures from the last times we ordered, but my boyfriends mother and I both got the wrong food the last time we ordered food and had it delivered. We both ended up with sesame chicken when she orderd some kind of shrimp meal and I ordered orange chicken. I don't recommend getting food delivered or even eating at this place. My order was packed carelessly and the entire containers of sweet & sour sauces spilled in the bag. It took 50 minutes for delivery and I honestly expected better quality food for what I paid. We have been there many times, and enjoyed the food. They are slowly going down hill. They have their kids running around the dining area. On our last visit, they really surprised us. We ordered a quart of egg drop soup. Then three other people arrived after us. They ordered, received their orders and left. After those three orders were done, then we received our soup. I ordered the dragon and Phoenix bc it sounded good and when I received my order the shrimp had not been cleaned and de turded and all they told me was that I had to ask for that ARE U SERIOUS I have to have a special request to have my shrimp cleaned before its cooked!!!! Food cooked to order right on the spot. Food was very hot and tasted fresh. Large, generous portions that are reasonably priced. Taste was excellent and service was good. I will definitely return. This is absolutely the worst Chinese restaurant I have ever been to! I called the order in, as once I got inside, a kid (approximately 10 years old) was preparing food; only to later find out that it was my food. HUGE NO-NO!! I do not want a kid preparing my food. The cook came from outside and walked in the back door, while picking his nose and went back to the grill and started back cooking. No visit to the handwashing sink. My food was wrong and had to be re-made. I had ordered crab rangoons which had absolutely no crab in it and I was told that cheese wontons and crab rangoons are the same--NOT! Crab rangoons are suppose to have crab in it to be "crab rangoon"-that's why you pay the price you pay for them. I wanted to get something else, made me pay 1/2 price for it, after I just paid for something that I didn't receive and after I had to wait for them remake food they messed up. Customer service is important to me. When you make a mistake you fix it and take ownership by keeping your customers happy and not charging them more when this entire experience has been nothing but a disaster. The food was gummy and awful. Very bland and tasteless. I WILL NEVER, EVER VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN AND WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Before tonight I would have given this place 4 stars. I've been ordering from China Taste for years, I will no longer be supporting this business. They messed up an order. No problem, people make mistakes. I called them to let them know, and I was yelled at. Not at first, at first I was dealing with a child, the owner's daughter to be precise. She answers the phone, takes orders, and runs the register. Fine, no problem, it's a family business, she speaks the best English. She's a child, as in way under 16 years old. she proceeds to tell me that I did not in fact order what I ordered and I am wrong and insinuates I'm lying. Her mother gets on the phone and proceeds to reiterate that I am wrong. I have to order extra food because the $15 minimum order for delivery does not apply to me. I have to order at least $25, on top of paying a $3 delivery fee, which is no where on their menu. Fine, we live a little farther away, no problem, but the child reviewed the order before I gave her my payment information, and the order was right. Rather than apologize for the confusion, and rectifying the situation, I am again yelled at, this time in Chinese. I am now on the phone with the owner and husband and father of the first two. He begins nicely, while his wife is still yelling in the background. I am told that I am wrong, and I inform him that I am unsatisfied with this whole situation, and we will never be ordering from his restaurant. He tells me that's ok, they don't need my business anyways. He says normally he tries to fix the problem, but that the order in the computer shows there is nothing wrong with the order. I tell him about the yelp postand that I'm advising my friends not to order, he says that's fine he doesn't want to deliver to me anyways, because he has an American driver and has to pay him too much money anyway. I ask about his underage child dealing with taking the orders and dealing with money, perhaps she made a mistake, and he says they can't afford childcare and that anyway she doesn't work there. He begins to yell at me... I hang up. The food is ok, but not worth this hassle. I would've been fine with an apology and an offer to remedy the problem. Instead I was yelled at and insulted.
