Best Chinese restaurant in Genoa because it's the only one of course. China Wok is another of those strip mall places any town with any kind of businesses has. It has pretty much what to expect as far as authenticity and quality. For those it's not a lot. The food actually isn't that bad and it's big portions. A place that looks a lot like these typical Chinese restaurants you always come across. It's for sure not authentic but how could anyone expect it to be. There's the usual things as far as menu items people are familiar with. Has okay prices but still kind of high. It's about $10 for an entree item. They have a lunch menu with a few entrees that come with things like egg rolls. I got the Vegetables With Bean Curd. This is homestyle tofu stir fried with baby corn, broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, onions, and peas. Basic stuff to be honest. The rest of the menu is meaty. Counter to order at and there's a few tables for eating in. It's located on Main at Sycamore. They're closed Tuesdays. read more

It's not as good as it used to be. It could use a deep cleaning, and some refreshment of the interior. The food was mediocre at best, rice tough, shrimp rubbery and the crab rangoon not exactly appetising. I'd go back if they just put a bit more EFFORT into the food/place. Stopped here on Christmas Day for lunch after a day outside. Wow. So much food, and all so good. I got the fried mushrooms which we home-made and hand battered. Needed a quick Chinese fix and came here for the buffet. I know why they get the money up front. The.buffet is used for both dine in and carry out. The bad part is they only put out two or three servings worth at a time and do not refill often. The thirty minutes I was there, the buffet sat half empty. Why have 3 people cooking? Metal utensils are used with Styrofoam plates and no indication if you are suppose to reuse or not. There is a bus tray by the door but no garbage so everything goes in there, or so we are to assume. Tried to keep my money in town due to quarantine but unfortunately I'll never order from here again. I've given this location multiple chances and every time it's a different issue. Today we were told an hour wait for carry out but my wife had to wait an additional 20 minutes in the parking lot. The portion size was good for the price but the garlic chicken had no garlic flavor. Stopped in as we were in Genoa and WOW!!! Absolutely the BEST egg foo young I've ever had - and this comes from someone who always has it! Husband's beef and broccoli was outstanding and the restaurant was very clean and inviting. I used to do take out here but can't any longer. Last time in, owner/worker/grandmother? put a diapered baby on the counter where they also put the food. She was carrying infant while walking around the restaurant and needed to set the kid somewhere while she bagged my food and took my money. I should have not paid and left the food, but I was too amazed by seeing that. Good thing I didn't pay very much because there was no way I was going to eat it. I love there food! never had a problem with them. i have eaten here more then 15 different times. the buffet is awesome they go by weight. one day i bought a box to go from the buffet it was only 4 dollars and it had different foods. China Wok is probably my new favorite place to get Chinese food. I have had the chicken and garlic- that was awesome, and the chicken and peapod- good could use some more flavor. Their crab rangoon is the best I have ever had in my life. We ordered it recently and they were ready in 10 minutes. I ordered two orders of crab rangoons and they threw in extras for free. We only order the small entrees and get two meals out of them. The pricing is very reasonable. I haven't tried the buffet, so I can't comment on that as well. read more

If you want to go to this place I suggest that you should order from the menu. The food is freshly made. It is nice and hot, and tastes as good as it smells. The best part is that the restaurant does not use MSG in any of there food. If you have allergies you can tell the lady who takes the order what you are allergic to and they will work something out for you. If you order by phone the other is ready really quickly, it usually takes about 10 to 15 minutes.The place itself is very clean. The owners are very nice people. read more
