Be careful ordering to go. Ordered chicken wings ahead driving there and I see her taking wings out of the pan from the buffet when I went to pick up. She said that it's fresh 2-3 minutes but they were NOT. They were dry. You should be more trustworthy then maybe you'll have more customers. read more

Never Ever eat here! The manager took a piece of food off of my plate after me telling her i had touched it and put it back into the buffet. I am calling the Health Department and reporting them. after I told her I refused to pay after witnessing it she pushed me back into the restaurant and called the cops. Do not treat customers well. Bathroom is nasty, I am over weight and they watched what I ate and would not bring crab legs out very often. Had to fill my own soda takes forever to clear table. Will not be back won't be treated like I am not a human being. read more

This was really bad. The sushi was sour (like, stale, left out, the ingredients were so old that the absorbed the flavor of other things in the fridge, kind of bad). Some other dishes had this same issue, and almost all the meats were flavorless, dry, and bland. Unprepared sandwich meat would have been tastier than their chicken or pork. Breaded meats were soggy too. McDonalds makes a better chicken nugget. Service was aldo nonexistant. Halfway through my meal I was given my beverage, plates on table were never cleared, and I had to wait for the staff to finish conversing for a couple minutes to pay when I was ready. Oh, the environment is also *awful* and could pratically pass out religious pamphlets on the joys of botulism. I came here because I saw it had a better rating than golden chopsticks, but y'all are nuts. I will *never* come back here. read more

I really hate to give this place one star, but we'll deserved. I love the Oriental's food and the service is fine. I must add though, that their fruit is covered in gnats and their dessert cooler is full of dirty plates and more gnats and flies. I really do love the atmosphere and the food, but it just isn't cleanly. But, honestly, I still recommend their seafood! The main meal food assortment seems pretty cleanly and very good. One of he best Chinese buffets in Rockford. They have the biggest variety of foods and they are all fresh and delicious! the restaurant is very clean and the staff are friendly and attentive. The lunch price is very reasonable ($6.99) I'm not sure of the dinner price, but whatever it is well worth it. read more

This is one of the best Chinese Buffets that I've been to. The food at lunch was hot, fresh, and continuously replenished by attentive staff. The one hang up I had was with the fish (not shrimp) based foods like broiled salmon or seafood donuts- they smelled fishy so I stayed away from those. read more

The food was actually quite good. One of the better buffets around. The only reason I knocked a star is because of cleanliness. The table was sticky (which is a norm for buffets), the dessert bar had gnats all over the place, and the bathroom needs a good scrubbing. read more

I went there last night with my boyfriend and I have to say I was pleasantly suprised. Usually this side of town is not really known for good restaurants, but I read the other review on here and wanted to try it out. I asked a couple other people about it before we went and I was given mixed reviews, some said really good, others said dirty and smells funny would even try the food. Well it didn't smell funny, it was normal quality restaurant for the southeast side. Not amazing but not horrible, the carpet and booths were a lttile worn but not too bad. The food was really good. I actually liked the sushi. I was a little nervous about trying buffet sushi but it was really good. All the food I tried was really good. they also had chicken fingers and fries and other kid friendly things. My boyfriend ended up eating a lot of crab legs which were really good and my daughter like them too. the dinner buffet was 9.99 a piece and didn't include our drinks. and for my daughter who is only 3 it was 3.95. I would like to go back for lunch sometime when its only 6.65 and see if its the same as dinner. Our servers were really nice and always asking if we needed refills and clearing plates as soon as we were finshed. Noticed that we had a child and made sure to bring us lots of extra napkins which I really liked that they did that. I will be going there again.
