Chinatown is a good Chinese buffet. On the food bar is an assortment of offerings including salad, soup, rice, noodles, and many other Chinese favorites. I found the crab, chicken and broccoli, and lo mein to be among my favorites. Although you serve yourself our waitress checked on several times during our meal and we had everything we needed. Prices were good, too, especially for the weekend. We will be happy to visit Chinatown again when we have a craving for Asian fare. read more

This is a great buffet and one of the few places that I routinely eat in Danville. Family owned, friendly, attentive service. Food is consistently good and fairly priced. Buffet has good variety. We enjoy their Chicken & Broccoli, Ma La Chicken, Orange Chicken, Buddhist Delight, among other entrees for carryout almost every Friday night. Also love the buffet on which the Lo Mein is great, many, many good chicken entrees... Honey, General Tso, Pan, Teriyaki, Sesame, Ma La... Just really good chicken dishes. Lots of other entrees too. This place is absolutely disgusting. First of all, the food is NOT fresh, and they do NPT come around to refill drinks. If I'm gonna pay 60+ dollars, I expect the food to be fresh and the servers to be on top of getting drinks when needed. It's absolutely horrible. I do not recommend it. Also, they have their menu on Facebook with prices set at a certain amount, but when you come in to eat, you pay WAY more. Well, as soon as I walked in a nice lady welcomed us and took us to our seat. My first thought was this place looks kind of old. It needs a remodel. The food was great. BUT the drinks had a weird soapy metal taste. My friend brought it up to the other kind waitress. She said the owner needs to replace it and she has brought it up to the owner but she hasn't done anything. I selected the buffet for a take out dinner and was pleased. I tried the box dinner choosing what I thought looked tasty and would be filling. I enjoyed my entire meal. Very friendly and helpful staff. Their menu looks like many others and has a diverse selection of choices with standard Chinese fare. Food was very hot and cooked well. I ordered our food to-go and took it home and it was still hot after the ten minute drive. The food tasted average compared to other restaurants I have been to in other towns, but this has been the best experience we've had yet with Chinese food in Danville. Having said that, I will probably go back again because they are so nice and are open late every night. read more

Chinatown is the main Chinese spot to hit in Dville. The buffet doesnt have a huge variety but mostly everything available is tasteful and popular items. The only reason I give them a 4 instead of 5 is because the buffet size. Some items on the spread are a little meh but there are some stars among the class. The cheesy crab bake and honey chicken are superb. Always great service from the workers there. I always have a full glass due to the exceptional service. We did takeout. The order was ready in 15 minutes and we were in and out in a flash. Got home and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. The kids are picky eaters but not this time. I thought we would have leftovers for lunch but nope. The prices were pretty low - I'm surprised since inflation is taking its toll. All in all the food and service were very good. read more

My family and I had just the China buffet next to planet fitness. The business manager is incompetent and doesn't know how to run a food establishment. Instead of giving us our full refund back he decided to give us his INSURANCE number to file a claim against him. "This happens all the time" so I wonder how many times this actually happens to the rest of the resident of Danville. We went and had dinner and it was disgusting, we did try our best to try all the food which there was not much to offer, but we happily support small business owners. My whole family has gotten sick from this place. Not only was the food disgusting, but it was not good Quality, and the food that we did get was mainly grizzles and bits of chicken. The crab ragoon should be called crap ragoon since it was stale, and barley had any filling in it. Most of the things we did try, could only bare a few bites. For what we ate it was not worth the money.Not only the Quality food but the service was horrid, we had to get up our self and ask the owner for drinks. We frequently stop here on Saturday afternoons for take-out after working to clean up an abandoned African-American cemetery. The hostess (wish I knew her name) is always friendly and polite, the food is fresh and good, as long as it has just come out of the kitchen. Problem with a buffet is that if the food sits, it loses its freshness. So we've learned WHEN to come in -- usually after 4PM is best. One of these days, we'll actually have to eat in! I can't report on specific items on the buffet because I really enjoy most of them. After having fantastic Chinese in Boston's Chinatown many times, this restaurant is about as good as it gets outside a major Chinese settlement. read more
