I've been doing virtual training with Meryl for almost two years. I was a bit skeptical about…read morevirtual training at first, but Meryl is able to keep the workouts varied and effective with minimal equipment. I travel frequently for work and she's able to be flexible with my schedule as well as adapt workouts that are feasible in a hotel room. Meryl was also able to adapt my workouts throughout my pregnancy, from incorporating more yoga /stretching to modifying exercises. I really appreciate that she could change up an entire workout on the fly depending on how I was feeling that day. It made it much easier for me to stay active during my pregnancy, even until late in the third trimester. If you're looking for someone who will be flexible with YOUR fitness goals (in my case, consistency and strength), Meryl is a great choice.

I joined Meryl's Zoom group workout class and it made me remember how WONDERFUL it feels to push my body and build strength. Meryl is an excellent coach; even in a group setting of varying levels Meryl knows exactly how to modify every move so that everyone is pushed appropriately. A few months ago my husband and I started personal training together as well with Meryl and it's really taken our training to the next level. Not only has it boosted our physical fitness but I can tell a difference into our confidence in and out of the gym as well. And my clothes are fitting better, which I am extremely happy about. I'm also a big fan of the types of workouts we do with Meryl in general. Each routine is intentional and focused. She's always happy to modify if something doesn't feel right, answer questions, and correct form. We look forward to our workouts every week!

Thirty minute circuit was roomy and everything worked. All of that, great! Where we're let down today was the locker room. Paper on the floor, small and dirty showers, trash here and there. This was a 4pm on a Saturday and the place was not at all busy. I did my workout, found the cleanest of the dirty showers, and got on my way. This was not at all a good PF for cleanliness in the locker room. If you're not needing that and only want to work out, this one would be fine. My only thought is it's in a not so good neighborhood and there are homeless wandering around in the parking lot. But I didn't feel unsafe. It's also a small gym. I don't think I've been in such a small planet fitness before. The spa is not cut off in a secluded space and separate. It's actually on the inside when you first walk in to the gym. But still private enough. I'm just passing through on my way up through the state and I might actually stop by tomorrow morning too rather than use the gym at the hotel. Beautiful brand new equipment and nice people.

Everyone was so kind and supportive. You go at your own pace and they encourage you non stop. Krav Maga is now my favorite and I look forward to the classes. Your first two classes are free.... From my very first class I got a workout and left with applicable skills, which is extremely hard to do! The first class I took was the Krav Maga. I was a little intimidated at first, being the only one in the class that didn't have some kind of belt, but the other students and Zane, the owner and instructor, made me feel really welcome. Just to be clear, what I am looking for is to be actually able to deploy moves, not just run through drills, and Zane gives you that right from the beginning. We worked on disarming a knife, two person attack, and kicking drills. The other class I have attended is the Women's Self Defense class. This is taught by Michelle, Zane's wife. I think every woman needs to take this class! We learned that pony tail grabs are a common attack point and how to disable someone that attacks in this manner. Repetition makes perfect but what I like is that after one class you have enough grip on the fundamentals that I feel like I could deploy some version of it. Great place!!
