Chinnies has so many gluten free options!!! We have been several times now, and loved every meal we have had. We even brought our large extended family and filled a section of the restaurant once. Everyone in our family said they were very satisfied, which was impressive. The owner is a kind and thoughtful woman, and her employees are hardworking and knowledgeable about food allergies. The restaurant also has fun music nights and game nights. Takeout has a point system, so you can earn extra food, but we prefer to dine in. It's not a fancy decor, but always clean, comfortable, and a good temperature. read more

So I was excited that this restaurant had 4 stars and was really anticipating great Chinese food... We ordered honey walnut shrimp, which was very good, crispy and tasty. We also ordered lo mein noodles, with extra vegetables and chicken and we were extremely disappointed! The dish had ZERO flavor!!! We tried adding soy sauce and it helped marginally. The noodles were a little thinner than any Lo mein noodle I've ever had on my life, with zero flavor. It seemed the vegetables and chicken were just cooked in some flavorless oil and that was it!!! The chicken was over cooked... we all just looked at each other and quit eating. I've never had such a flavorless dish of Lo mein noodles in my life, and I'm not exaggerating. We placed our order at 5:08 and received it at 6:35. I actually ordered from Chinnie's directly. The Doordash driver said that the app sent him 3 orders along with mine but then he went back to the store and picked up another order before delivery to our house. I thought they were able to pick and choose what their deliveries were... So Chinnies charged me $7 for a delivery fee where Doordash would have just $0.49, I had found out after the order was placed. Plus I ordered BBQ fried rice and received steamed white rice. Had to put everthing in the microwave. Not happy with either business and have asked Chinnies to adjust the charge for their wrong order and remove the tip from the driver. Have sent reviews to both Doordaah and Chinnies. Have not heard from either. ‍ read more

Love the takeout food at Chinnie's. I always order the Egg Foo Young with shrimp and Almond Fried Chicken. Lots of shrimp for that extra $1 and chicken pieces are big. The Thai Panang Curry with added tofu, is tasty with lots of veggies and just enough heat, my new favorite. read more

Delivery review In short Cool mix of Chinese, Thai, and other dishes on the menu. There are lots of Americanized touches, so it's kinda all over the map, but they have a great touch with seasonings--everything always tastes and smells great. In long We've ordered from here a couple times, and it's one of the few places that has made the driver exclaim about how good it smells and how great their car smells now. Everything always shows up hot and they pay attention to any special requests you throw in. Fried Crab & Cream Cheese Rangoon These are pretty much the usual, and they taste good. House-made, too! Chinn pointed that out to me. They really are perfect. Sriracha gives them a tasty twist. Chow Fun This was rich and tasty throughout. Still some nice chew to the noodles. BBQ Pork Kinda on the dry side but delicious, and it always disappears faster than everything else. They threw in extra mustard for me so now we're friends. Hot and Sour Soup Going back to my childhood, this is something I like to try at every Chinese place I frequent. Theirs is good! On the mild side and a little brothy but I can eat this stuff all the time. Cambodian Beef Cha-Kreung Beef and vegetables stir-fried in a dark savory sauce. Very tasty! I think we've all made this 100 ways with whatever was in the fridge and had it 100 more by 100 different names at 100 different places, but I'm sure it's specifically Cambodian in some way that my ignorant self wouldn't have noticed. Tasted awesome though, and was delightfully comforting. Prices are very fair and this is a regular part of the rotation for sure. read more

Went to Chinnie's Kitchen in Everett yesterday and they are amazing. The food and service was super good -- some of the best Chinese food I've had in years. I loved the egg foo yong and the spicy basil chicken. They also have a lot of gluten free options. I found it using the find me gluten free app. It's just up the hill from McDonald's and definitely worth the 16-minute drive from North Seattle. I'm already looking forward to going back. read more

We've ordered takeout a few times from here and always enjoyed it. The food is usually ready pretty quickly and is always piping hot even after the drive back home. The portions are also really big which is appreciated. We always get the bbq pork fried rice which is super delicious and packed with little chunks of bbq pork. It tastes even better the next day as leftovers when the flavors have had a chance to really meld together. The portion is massive so we always have some left over. I highly recommend ordering this. We've also ordered a few of the chicken dishes, with my favorites being the sesame chicken and general Tsos chicken. The sesame chicken is sweet and has a good flavor to it. The general Tsos has a sweet and spicy sauce to it and is really tasty. We've also tried the orange chicken which was good but nothing special. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the chow fun. It kind of lacked flavor and was a bit greasy. We will definitely be ordering takeout from here again. read more

Two stars because they seem to be trying. I went in after a hard day at work for a take-out order. I had not placed the order ahead. There was one family at one table and no one else in the restaurant. When I was finally acknowledged, I was told he was very busy and would be with me shortly. A few minutes later, I placed an order of Vegetables with Shrimp. He flipped the cc reader around and left the room. I paid with a credit card and requested a printed receipt. He came back in a few minutes and told me it would be about 10 minutes for my order because they were very busy. I guess one table is all they can handle. The server was less than professional. He was dressed in jeans, tennis shoes, and a logo Tshirt. He tried to be courteous but again seemed completely overwhelmed by the one table. About 15 minutes later, he told me my order was being started. He noticed my receipt had printed and he threw it on a counter and tapped it, telling me it was right there. He did not bother to hand it to me until another 5 minutes passed and my order was ready. While waiting for my order, I noticed a sign: "Take out order must request utensils. We DO NOT offer them". I thought the sign was rude and could have been worded in a more polite, customer caring way. And they certainly can afford a plastic fork or pair of chopsticks and napkin for a $19 dish! Can you add? 2+2+15+5+5=27 minutes to order and prepare one dish (and I'm being generous with my time estimations). So, I took my food and came home. I opened the box, and they were right, no utensils! But that isn't the worst! The food was 100% completely tasteless! It looked like they put garlic (out of a jar) on it, but otherwise, the shrimp had no flavor (probably previously cooked and frozen) and the veggies were carelessly cooked, some overcooked and some still partially raw. Curious to me is there was one (1) pea pod! One of the things I look for in Asian veggie dishes is the pea pods! Apparently they are too expensive to put more than one in a $19 dish. I added soy sauce to try to make it more tasty but it didn't help. This was my third and last visit to Chinnies. I tried it a few years ago when they first opened and I was not all that impressed, so much so that I forgot it was there. But for the prices they charge (yes! I know! everything is more expensive now! Did I mention $19 for one dish!?) I feel I need to be treated a little better. I gave 2 stars only because I feel like they are trying. BUT failing so far IMHO. read more

We were excited to try. After getting home, the food was not correctly described when we had placed our order over the phone. Very bland, like everything was frozen and then reheated in a microwave. It was as if you ordered gas station Chinese food. Not a single item was worth consuming. Normally I would just take the loss, but when we called and asked why a certain dish was not as described, and to hopefully get it corrected, Cody M was very sarcastic and rude. First time trying their food and we liked it a lot. We got the pork lo mein, chicken lo mein and crab rangoon. They were all very good. We ordered for pickup and it was ready on time. The food was still hot when we got home. The hostess was nice and brought our food out right away when we went to pick it up. There is plenty of parking in a parking lot. There aren't many businesses that share the lot, so I don't think it would get full often. We really enjoyed the food and will be back. read more

good! go here! the weekend chef took a break from cooking this weekend. he took a wrong turn driving to a new place for lunch and we decided to stop instead at Chinnie's Kitchen cold turkey! no pictures, no Yelp reviews. we just walked in! and we were so happy we did so. an aromatic tea was delivered in a pot with an infuser with tea leaves. service was prompt and friendly. although we were the only diners at noon-ish, a table was loaded with pick-up orders. the outside sign said Asian Fusion and cocktails. the menu is Chinese with some Vietnamese and Thai dishes. Egg Foo Yong: fabulous! this one was freshly made. very eggy and tender, with crunchy mung bean sprouts, onions, and chicken pieces. the gravy was a chicken gravy served on the side. imagine a thinner chinese-ingredient frittata, large enough to cover a dinner plate. it's probably not quite traditional, but far superior to any egg foo yongs i have had that were too thick, greasy, oily, too starchy, burnt, smothered in some weird brown gravies. i would return just to eat this with maybe a nice wonton soup. Crispy chicken with sweet chili sauce: the weekend chef loved the sweet chili sauce. i felt the chicken was over-sauced but it was certainly not a deal-breaker. it had just a touch of tangy yet sweetness and a slight afterbite of crushed chilis. the chicken bits were very crispy but not so crispy that you would fear to crack a tooth. the accompanying broccoli pieces were perfectly steamed. Side of rice: one order was plenty for two low-carb people to share. Fortune Cookie: yes! individually wrapped and they were fresh! and crunchy. most fortune cookies i have are on their way to staleness. there is also a bar, as advertised outside for Cocktails. the entrance is separate from the restaurant but also accessible from the back of the dining area. it has several 4-tops and a full service bar. don't let the outside fool you. it's well-lit. the restrooms are clean and bright. paper menus are at every table. all condiment utensils are wiped clean. there are no surprises on the menu. i'm going back to try the mabo tofu and some of the vietnamese and thai dishes. and of course, the egg foo yong. read more

As a celiac, I was excited to have Chinnie's even if it meant driving 30 minutes each way for safe gluten free food. However, after spending more than $125 for three meals and three desserts take out, the portions are much smaller than we have ever gotten from there or the Seattle ghost kitchen before it closed, and one of my entrees came with no sweet and sour sauce for the chicken at all. Add that to being able to hear the hateful things being said about our "large to go order" at the same time as a group of nine people, and I will just have to go without what was once a magical place from now on. read more

Cute little hole in the wall (for now). Chinnie, the new owner & chef, is absolutely delightful! Everything, including the sauces, is house made. Service isn't super fast (yet) simply because she's just getting started & she makes everything fresh to order (aka: nothing is sitting around under a heat machine lamp). The Mongolian Beef & Honey Walnut Prawns were both the absolute best I've ever had! My friend also had Honey Walnut Prawns (loved them) & chow mein which she said was delicious. We order from Chinnie's often. Tonight they fell short. We ordered crispy chicken with sweet chili sauce... like we always do plus extra. For some reason they don't have it listed in the app so you have to order the beef and write in the notes that you want chicken. My husband did that. Then he called to verify that they received the order and that they could see the chicken on the order. They verified that they could. Some time later we received a call saying that they hadn't added the extra beef. (???) We didn't order extra beef. He AGAIN verified that it was chicken. When the driver delivered the food it was beef and not chicken. Additionally, I feel like if you left EXTRA food off, you should remedy that. We needed the extra food, not the refund. So we are driving back to get our dinner fixed. (Did we pay a delivery fee?) The food is fine, service is lacking. Btw- the blonde girl with the crappy attitude doesn't help. read more

Let me begin with saying the staff is very friendly and sweet. They were nice to strike a conversation even though I was there for a pick up! The food was a bit let down to our taste and liking ! We tried sweet and sour chicken, Szechuan chicken and chicken chow mein. The sweet n sour chicken packed nicely- sauce separate from the chicken to not be soggy by the time we eat it. The disappointing part was taste was average and full of red color. My bad decision to order that! The Szechuan was pretty decent, for the price of $12.95 it did not come with white rice, one needs to buy that separately. My husband wanted to eat chow mein and that's the main reason we ordered out. It was pretty oily and the noodle was pretty thick, in comparison to any chinese food outlet! Taste pretty average. I drove 3.5 miles for this and overall the food was a let down. One extra star is for the staff! read more

Alright, so I've been ordering from here for about 3 years, and I've always had an excellent experience with their food. I'm writing a review now, because I was admittedly very nervous when they announced that they were changing their name and were under new ownership. That being said, the food I picked up tonight was as excellent as always and I'm so happy. I'm vegetarian and my partner is not, this has become our go-to for satisfying both of our dinner desires. We always over order so we have lunch the next day. My favorites are 'Kung Pao Tofu' and the 'Stir Fried Tofu and assorted Vegetables'. I ordered from Chinnie's catering menu this past weekend for my sons 1st birthday. The owner was so friendly, quick to respond, and patient with my last minute changes. I'm pregnant and was craving Chinese food, and my toddler loves fried rice. The owner was kind enough to offer samples. We wanted to help a local Asian business as well. I ordered a 1/2 tray of fried chicken rice, orange chicken, chow mein, fried pot stickers. I didn't get to try the pot stickers because I don't eat pork anymore, but the kids loved them. I can say the fried rice, chow mein, especially the orange chicken was incredibly delicious! The orange chicken had the right amount of spice and crunchiness. We got a lot of compliments about the flavor of the food. We also got the right amount of food, and still had leftovers. It was a pretty reasonable price. Dropped In for a quick lunch on a Thursday afternoon. Ordered the Hk Style chow mein (crispy noodles) and some egg rolls to go., Service was quick and uneventful and I got my order within 10 minutes. The noodles were done reasonably well, but not particularly crisp Chock full of. chicken, scallops, shrimp and veggies (baby bok choy and water chestnuts). the sauce was a little on the salty side. But was flavored well with garlic, soy and oyster sauce. Egg rolls were underwhelming. A bit soggy despite just being cooked. 3.5 stars, or just above average to me. read more

I think we caught them on a busy day (we waited for like 10 minutes for our food after getting there), but the service was kind and the food was still nice and hot by the time we got home. We had the sesame chicken and kung pao tofu, and both were just right. We're excited to come back and try some more items - it's really nice how many options they have. The restaurant itself was nice and clean with a decent-sized waiting area. The only thing was that we wished the entrees came with rice, but it's easy enough to make at home (and the food is definitely still well-worth it on its own). Can't wait to return :o) read more

I like the way this woman does business. She has a good take on delivery for instance. I ordered delivery. It was here very quickly - faster than the estimate. I like that. My food was hot as heck when it got here, too. I ordered crab Rangoon. House fried rice. Egg foo young and orange chicken. The crab Rangoon wasn't my favorite - but the dipping sauce WAS. I saved the little that was left over in the hope to use it on something else, soon. The house fried rice was good, I wished it had moved veggies in it. There was a lot. The egg foo young was good - this is my favorite Chinese dish, and I'm hard to please. It was fluffy, and seemed pretty healthy. Finally, the orange chicken was maybe the best I have ever had. It was just spicy enough. Just sweet enough. And best of all, it was juicy, rather than the overly deep fried mess you get often. I would go there just for the orange chicken. Nice work! I don't usually pay much attention to restaurant pamphlets that are stuck in my door, but when I saw cha-kreung on the menu, I had to order it. I'm half Cambodian, and it is so hard to find Cambodian food, so I was very excited. It wasn't as strongly flavored as how my grandma made it, but I'm used to Asian food being whitewashed, and I was just glad to have a dish from my childhood. We ordered Take Out as first time customers. Got Honey walnut prawns, Mongolian beef, Almond chicken and Pork fried rice. All the food was excellent! The real star of my meal/experience was the walnut prawns, they were the best I've had. Ate all of them, and the serving was large. Food was hot and I will return. The one item I might not Re-order, although usually my Favorite was the Almond Chicken. Only because it was individual pieces of chicken with gravy on the side, instead of my preferred way of sliced meat with gravy and nuts on top.
